You can say whatever you want about Kamaru Usman, but he didn't pick and choose who he was fighting. He defended it against whoever the UFC lined up and didn't delay fights. Leon definitely tryna stale this fight with Colby. If Usman was still Champ this fight would've been official !

What’s the true reason why Colby is getting a title shot? He hasn’t fought anyone since Masvidal who is now retired.. he already lost to Usman twice and just sits on the sidelines but magically gets a title shot for weighing in as a backup? What logic is in that he could’ve at least fought a ranked welterweight

Besides the weight class, what's the difference between Colby and Stipe? Stipe doesn't have a win against anyone still in the UFC besides Andrei Arlovski back in like 2016. Stipe loses the belt, sits out a year, fights for the belt, sits out another year and loses the belt, now gone over 2 years and is fighting for the belt
I'm a huge Colby fan, lol but the obvious answer is championship resume.
Stipe doesn't deserve title shot when there is Pavlovich as well but Colby's case is even weaker 🤣 Colby was never a champion proven through 2 Usman fights where he got dropped in both fights and gets his jaw broken. Stipe has multiple title wins.

Majority of the time it's about who fills more seats and sells more ppvs. I talk to a coworker about MMA every day, we're the only two who know who Pavlovich is in there. His second fight against Usman he lost 5 out of 5 rounds on paper and only caught him in the last minute while the comentators were already talking about him losing and hes nowhere close to Usmans skills. The last fight was not Prime Usman. Everyone agrees. His knees are busted and hes having more and more trouble losing pounds and getting dehydrated for fights.

In Colby's last 4 fights he lost twice to Usman and beat two retired fighters both who were on the decline (Woodley and Masvidal). 7 of his last 9 fights have ended in a decision. Just can't get excited to watch this guy fight especially with him sitting on the sidelines for so long.

I think the reason they aren't making pereira v blachowicz foe the lhw belt is because they have a lhw title fight planned to co main the jones stipe fight, as it wouldn't be strong enough to headline its own ppv, therefore the only fight it could co main for would be the heavyweight title, using the same logic that the heaviest title fight always goes last

Am i the only one who thinks that the UFC have screwed UFC 294. I mean we were all expecting to see either Islam fight Volkanovski or Islam fights Charles Oliveira in the co-main event and Leon was supposed to face Colby in the main event. I mean just think how the press conferrence would be with Leon, Colby and Khamzat and think about PPW this card would get. We have already seen Islam fight Oliveira in the main event last year, why make the fight happen again. At least let islam fight volkanovski, when volkanovski have already agreed to fight islam in Abu Dhabi and that's what the fans would love to see. Unlike Leon who already got destroyed his first fight and lost 5 out of 5 rounds the seconds fight and only caught him in the last minute of the 5th... the same Leon who almost got knocked out by Diaz. Lol!
Colby doesnt need to prove anything. You only say Woodley and Masvidal were on the decline because Colby made it look so easy as if he was fighting kids! Woodley would go for the belt, same as Masvidal if he won his last fight. But no one comes close to Colby except Usman. Thats why Leon is still scared. But you gotta beat the best, to be the best. And Leon knows hes gonna lose that belt fighting Colby. Why would he delay? If Colby was so easy, just take the money fight and get another easy win on your defended belt... casuals like you can talk S.... all you want but you know as wel as the rest that leon is trying to run away, holding on to as long as he can being champion. He could beat Muhamed Bilal but he cant beat Colby.
