• THE OUTSIDERS HD REMAS...
From the Academy Award winning director, Francis Ford Coppola, is an adaptation of S.E. Hinton's novel "The Outsiders." Tensions had been building between the upper class Socs and the "wrong side of the tracks" Greasers for some time. Some Socs got drunk and tried to drown Pony Boy, but one is fatally stabbed by Johnny. Fearing retribution, the two go into hiding. The Socs want some revenge for the death of their friend and the two groups agree to a rumble and no weapons allowed. This is one of my favorite films growing up.
This film featured many rising stars who would go on to much fame in the film industry, most notably Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, Ralph Macchio etc... The era of "the brat pack" films had begun. - Zábava
When I was 13 my English teacher, Mr Lance, gave us all a book and said that after we read it we would never forget it. He was right to this day.
I read that book in school like twice. Awsome. Book. Then I saw the movie which was also amazing.
Im reading the book now for school in 7th grade
Lol im reading the book in school rn
I’m reading it right now in class on chapter 8
Sketchers Dat light up savor every chapter. When I wrote my book report on it....40 years ago, I started with the sentence, "In a way, we are all outsiders desperately trying to fit in". Hold on to that copy and give it to your kid some day.
Shout out to all the English teachers who "forced" us kids to read this book.
We didn't want to at first but ended up feeling sad that it ended.
One of my fondest memories of middle school.

@@karlosrules it’s actually “don’t you know a rumble ain’t a rumble without me!”
Not even how he said it....
"What's up?" . "They used to buddy around together, play football." . The interaction between Darrel and Paul was one of the most important scenes in the movie . Two of the leaders of the Greasers and Socs used to be friends . It's a reminder that it didn't have to come to this.
That’s what guys need these days. Fist fights. No guns. No knives. Just a nice rumble.

Do you know what song this is
You got Charlie Sheen's brother, Tom cruise, the main character from Cobra Kai, and the main character from dirty dancing atogether.
Even Coppola is Nicolas Cage's uncle.
Coppola even worked with Charlie Sheen's father in apocalypse now before this movie was made.

Talk about six degrees of separation.
@@cadengraysonawhitu8871 No... the orginal film did not use a song during the rumble. For the "Complete Novel" version of the Blu-Ray disc, Coppola decided to use songs of the era (1950's)
This was terrible song choice for the remaster..... original was away better
I agree
I love how after every guy that Darryl fights gets up they have a look on their face that says "Damn I just survived that"
You can see how much Dally cares for Pony. Throughout the movie he was there for him and Johnny, and even after the rumble, Dally was the one who lifted him up, and his last word was 'Pony'.
There is definitely a love there, even if it wasn't really shown (Pony didn't see it until after)
I feel like letting your ill, 14-year-old brother fight in a rumble doesn’t show caring. It also seems really out of character for Darry.
I think so too even in the book it said dally would let pony draw him
@@superawesomeman4374 ikr
throught the book/movie I counted 23/24 things Dally did for Pony to show how much he loved Pony. All in just less than a week (as Pony and Johnny were away for 5 days, so it's like in 2-3 days)
Dally loved Pony almost as much as Johnny, he was Dally's second buddy 💗
@@kylecreed2748 ikr lol but Pony and Sodapop made a good arguement lol
@@kylecreed2748 They're greasers, that's what they did. It was an important fight for Pony, he wanted to be part of it and didn't want to be left out or look weak because he was sick. He was trying to cover that he wasn't feeling too hot. He had his best friend in the hospital fighting for his life, that was nothing compared to a bit of a headache. He didn't like fights, and had been in them before, so the fact he wanted to be a part of this one was more about why. The least he could do is fight for Johnny. Darry not letting him fight would have been a big blow to him I bet.
I remember when I was 14 we were given this book in English class and I loved it so much! Then we had a greaser/soc day and i dressed up as a greaser and at the end of the day we watched the full novel movie in the auditorium! Best day ever!!

I guess it could be a little high. I once heard that, on a whole, only a few people out of every hundred thousand actually can act. This is due to the fact that most people on earth are not able to not lock eyes with the camera while filming. I’ve heard really only a handful compared to the world population can pull it off. We had neighborhood fights when I was a kid. That was the good old days. Set the pecking order from time to time. We let there be a clear winner with no interruptions. You wanted to fight.. Fight. There were no victims and everyone took their medicine when it happened to them. Respect is earned, not just freely given. Parents would find out, but they went along with the process of the kids working it out on their own. nowadays is when kids are shooting one another and using weapons to get the upper hand. Good old fashioned fights still should be allowed when both parties want to settle their differences.
And now you guys are dead or in jail.
@@steelballs5179 No, every man that worked off masculine aggression didn't end up dead or in jail. Lol this generation. Fighting is not a super terrible society ending death dragon. It's a fight. It was before gutless neckbeards could shoot off behind a screen without consequences. A lot more respect back then when a smart mouth could get you socked in the eye.
@@fu9793 Especially nowadays with most males never being in any fight in their life. Back in my day it was guys who boxed you had to be wary of.. They messed guys up. The best fights to watch was two kids who fought in golden glove competitions. Bare knuckle.. So fast and a good deal of blood was spilt.
@@fu9793 With the number of teens who are buying stolen and other black market guns , who are also using those guns to shoot other teens.. No, not really violent at all in comparison. Though, you did have to put up with some pain and healing in order to participate. Society has gone to hell and only getting worse. The new fangled idea of how boys are supposed to act and behave isn't working. Your DNA is programmed without you knowing what or why. Why does society villainize boys for acting and behaving like boys? Hell, guys of the younger generations have lower testosterone than all the males of past generations. Is it the food they eat? Is it the mental BS that is played on them daily by society while in school and dealing with their peers? I own guns, I have been around guns since I was a little kid. Never was using a gun to commit an act of violence against others even came up as something I or any of my buddies would have done. Guns haven't changed, kids have. What has changed in young males? What are they not getting that my generation did? What is happening to them that didn't happen to my generation? Something is off and it needs to be addressed. Is it the victim mentality running rampant through society? Single mothers? Missing fathers from young boys lives?

It's a legendary movie. Such awesome young talent . The book was amazing to read. The movie was outstanding. RIP Patrick.
I really don’t understand how books are chosen for English classes cause wtf💀💀
PLS FR
It’s one of the greatest books of all time...
Not only one of the greatest books, but it teaches about the differing classes within society that affect even the younger folks in school. It also shows the differences between people in their different world views and how they can collide.
There are a TON of lessons to be had here. The Outsiders teach about them.
Not how I read it. The book was written by a teenage girl, S.E. Hinton, about marginalized teenage boys, their struggles and their vulnerabilities. I think the reason English Lit teachers assigned this book was two-fold: A) to give adolescents something to read they might be able to relate to - a story about people their own age and B) To open their eyes to the possibilities of writing and publishing books themselves. Prior to The Outsiders, S.E. Hinton was just some nobody kid, but she gave many teens hope that they, too, can be taken seriously in the adult world.
Because these books have important messages for example you don't have to be judged to be able to do something
The Arthur that made this was a girl in high school with a D in creative writing but then she made this masterpiece but because they didn't think that a girl could make a book like the outsiders they did not put her full name on the book
Best book that I was forced to read by my teacher EVER!!!!!
The warriors, the outsiders and the wanderers should be in everyone's movie collection
It's in mine
And OVER THE EDGE
Rumble Fish too
i remember when my english teacher said we were reading this book and i was like “oh great another stupid book” turned out it was my favorite thing i’ve ever read. i really miss reading this book in 7th grade. also, we did a thing called “outsiders day” were we would dress up as socs or greasers. (i dressed up as johnny) we then got root beer floats and watched this movie. i remember watching this fight scene that day and one of the boys said “we should recreate this after school!” so at 4pm, we met up at our high school football field and 100 kids showed up. it was literally just like this rumble. afterwards, we all had bruises on our faces. and i came home and my dad asked me what happened, and i said “a rumble happened. i’m okay, i beat the shit out of 2 boys” i miss that day. i miss being in middle school.
If only they made a book based on the Warriors and had a Warriors day for that

We always had neighborhood brawls. Rival fields or rival playgrounds/school yards where teens 15-19yrs would hang on Friday and Saturday night. Get a case or two. Good times. Remember party balls? It was like a Quarter keg. I wouldn't have admitted this now but I guess back then we were the Socs. We weren't rich but We used to fight the Trenton Ave boys aka Hackett Yard. They had 50 guys easily. Real rough neighborhood. Historically a poor Irish working class neighborhood even till this day in some spots. Gotta be 7th generation neighborhood.
We'd fight them. We'd have to go there as we had cars.. we rivaled/fought them for years 91-96ish.. we had about 22-25 guys, we'd team up with Douglass park on the south side as they didn't like Trenton Ave either. But the story stayed with me about classism and how difficult it could be to live in an area where there were social expectations like the ones shown here can be. Not only was it my favorite book but it became my life in highschool. And man did having the knowledge of what can happen change me! Black guys calling me white boy and white guys using me to get close to black guys so they could say they had black friends. It has forever changed my mind about friends and family. It has also shown me that the writer was beyond his time. After reading the book and experiencing classism....... I can say with experience: it ain't black and white, its broke and paid.
I thought the book was written by a young woman
@@ronfroehlich4697 It was. Her full name was Susie Hinton and she wrote it when she was 16.
Now this is a good , classic social topic movie that everyone can relate to
Oh, you don't know how much I love this movie ever since my friend recommended it to me
this is what true remasters look like right here
The good ol’ days of a rumble. People are so quick to pull a gun. Throw hands and when someone hits the floor let it be over with. Either way… such a great book and movie!
An old fashioned donnybrook
The most unforgettable book/movie in history ❤️
Shout out to my 7th grade English teacher who made us watch this movie for class. I still remember all the boys in class going wild after Pony Boy got socked in the face
I want a remake but it has to be like really really good like top actors
I dunno... It could be pretty embarrassing
PS NUTIN' PERSONAL, JUST PASSIONATE ABOUT COMMENTS ON REMAKES!
There are plenty of good-looking people with a talent for acting out there. If only casting agents would hit the streets like they used to. So many top actors got their big break out of chance or an agent noticed them.
Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Taylor Lautner, Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson could be in it.
@@39Hundred haha no but I kinda agree on Robert Patterson
I feel like rumbling right now!!
@Stu Marston Lets go!!
This has got to be my favorite scene from both the book and the movie.
A Book/Movie I still remember and think about often. My JR Teacher did a solid job introducing me to a good piece of literature.
Probably a lot of us could identify with the Socs better, but I'm sure all of us were rooting for the Greasers.
I'm rooting for the Greasers
I’m rooting with the Greasers too.
