I am more of a hobby small business but i was using an easy press and it didn't like doing multiple tshirts and all of a sudden.. stopped working.. it was a gift i got for Christmas so I do not have the receipt.. I've been checking a bunch of videos about heat presses.

    I liked this honest review. Thank you. I just bought my first actual heat press last week. This is the one I bought just because it was local and I needed it quickly. If you need to see the temp
    from the front maybe you can just buy a small stand mirror, like for the bathroom, and put it behind the press. That may work for you. Just a thought.

      Glad you enjoyed it! I rambled more than intended but for some people this is a major purchase and they like that someone takes their time explaining all the ins and outs. Others want me to scream out buy it in the first minute lol

    Great review although I think it’s made much better than some of the cheap models on Amazon you find for $200 or less. I would like to see it a 12” x 12” but....🤷‍♀️ The gas “shocks” are definitely a nice upgrade and I like the durability and weight of the frame. I’ve watched other “comparison” videos where they cut the top heating plates open. The cheaper presses have flimsy elements that are sometimes barely if at all attached to the frame and further apart (leaving areas that aren’t getting heated at all, minimally, sporadically, etc. compared with some of the more expensive, well known, brand name models that use high quality elements, attached to the frame, are close together throughout the plate to ensure even heating of the heating plate. From your description of the even and consistent temperature this press has maintained for you it sounds as though Siser has quite likely done well with their heating elements.
    (The tone of the conversation changes here... inject sarcasm liberally, add winks and winking eye rolls along with belly laughs and giggles....please note that 🙋‍♀️I, like you, am absolutely fine with “Rambling” every now and again 🤣😂
    I spent quite some time researching heat presses and ordered a 15” x 15” swing arm press from another manufacturer. On that lovely and raining day, June 3rd, Knowing it would be made upon my order and shipped in approximately “3 weeks”, as it said on the main order screens, I, ecstatically and emphatically hit that “Order” button like I owned it! 😎🥳 To seconds later see a screen see “est ship date 7/16/2021”... 🤨. Then figure a week en route.... uhm, say what?? If you do that math, it’s 7 weeks if it arrives on 7/22...😡 What happened to 3 weeks?? 🥺. Uhm, Common Core Math that I do not understand perhaps? 😂😂🤣. In all seriousness, since I NEEEEED this 15” x 15” swing arm press, which has different sized platens (extra), the company has great support and products of many kind.... but now I ALSO NEED something immediately😠.... darn it... to do, to do, what to do!?!?!🧐🤓🥸. Restart researching heat presses, yet AGAIN, I guess🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️... that’s what to do, so I did... 🤣😂
    And THAT is what brought me to THIS SISER PRESS❣️ Initially, the biggest selling points were probably 1). that it is made by Siser, a company well known for their vinyl’s, their presses, informational videos and their support. 2) It is carried by Michaels and I could get it 3 ways from the local store THAT DAY and that doesn’t include ordering it from the Michaels website to have it deliver to me... This is HUGE because everywhere else, every manufacturer and retailers I checked for presses was sold out and back ordered, That makes even the $349.99 pretty appealing when you are in a jam. And this Siser press is made really well, especially when you compare it to some of the cheap models out there. As are some of the other bigger name company’s that have been around for several years. This Siser model is a “crafter/hobbyist” model. Nearly all of the companies have an entry level press that is similar.
    Sometimes you get what you pay for. And if this is going to be the backbone of ones business it just might be worth it to figure out ones press budget and get the best one that fits in it. 😉.

      Thank you very much for the reply! When I saw your comment on my phone through CZcams it didn't show me the entire comment so I didn't realize how thorough it was! I had the same issue. I needed a press right away and its seemed like everyone was significantly delayed. My Siser press is still trucking along with no issue. Glad you liked the review. I've just set up my new warehouse here so I should be able to do more videos coming up. Might not be press related, but the more I know what people are looking for content wise that helps give me a direction so thank you again for the comment!

    The manual tills you that you should heat the machine with the level up

    Is that the BLINK500B2+. Sure sounds good especially after listening to folks using their camera mics from 10-ft away. The heat press is like the ceasar salad.

  • @theolavanwettering8626

    Where do you buy vinyl transfers? Do not have a heat press yet, still in thinking mode.

    • @BillysBoardGames
      @BillysBoardGames  Před 3 lety +1

      You'll need a vinyl cutter if creating your designs or words. I use a cameo sillouette. For the vinyl itself just starting out you could find the heat transfer vinyl at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Walmart. They typically have some sales going. Another option is to type Heat Transfer Vinyl into Facebook Marketplace and you may find a specialty Screenprinting or vinyl store near you that carries it in bulk with more options.

    So it only heats up to 325?

    • @BillysBoardGames
      @BillysBoardGames  Před 3 lety +1

      325 is the temp I have set for my vinyl which can be peeled after a 7 second press at that temp. It goes up to 400 for sure and higher though I just stopped there for what I do.

    Thank you for this review. Considering getting one. One thing thou, you mentioned the high-pitched timer noise it makes. Your dog probably is in pain, it hurts his ears. Just a thought for him. 🐕

      Thank you for watching! Luckily fit me I have an older dog and his hearing is going so flash forward to today and he's totally fine with it and the press is still working! Lol you're probably right though didn't expect it to make that noise.
