My fave is “Driven To Tears” - the way he TAKES IT UP 2 levels for the solo sections!!! HIS SENSE OF GROOVE IS AMAZING….

Guys like Omar hakim inspired me to get into drums all bcuz of this VHs. There were others on this series including dennis chambers, tonybroyster at 12 or so, billy cobham, and many other top class drummers. Thanks for uploading this so I can be inspired by his style of playing and music once again

And in a great showcase for his creative deep-pocket grooves, Omar performs three compositions, Constructive Criticism, Molasses Run, and Amethst Secrets along with Victor Bailey on bass, Jimi Tunnell on guitar, and Michael Beardon and John Adams on keyboards.

1983 he played the drums on David Bowie Let's Dance I was a kid but for me it all started from there, I was in love with his drumming that later on I have started to study drums, by the way I think I've been influenced a lot by the way he plays pop music
