Sunshine Nogueira I agree. I came from a family of academics. I chose a different path. Not practical they say. It was a hard journey but I've never regretted it. I made a lot of mistakes but they were mine and I learned. I know people who have a lot of $ but hated their jobs and aren't happy. I always hear them say, "I've always wanted to be...or I wish.." Here I am still doing what I love and surrounded by like minded individuals who are friends and teachers.

"Never give up" Thanks Jack Ma. Anytime, when I felt a little tired, a little bit doubt about my self. I watch and listen again many times your wise advise.
I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks (with the help of my Financial Advisor of course) and made about 246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million.
The pandemic came and taught everyone the importance of having multiple stream of income, unfortunately having a nice paying job doesn't mean you are financial secured anymore. So we all need to put in an extra-income earning chance, like investments.
I agree with you, Covid taught us the importance of having a plan "B" income. You are not safe with just one paying job, when nobody knows what will happen next. Look at what happened to so many of us when the pandemic started. OMG, It wasn't good at all. I believe we all can relate to this?

Be careful not to jump into trading without any proper training because it can be very detrimental. Many folks jump into trading only to suffer great loss at the very beginning. Do not try to imitate a professional traders, better still ask questions. Get the services of a professional stock expert or a licensed broker.

Joined the Navy at 18 with 7k in the bank. I did janitorial and smoked a lot of pot in high school. Left the Navy after months with 32k in the bank. Invested 29k in the S&P in late 90. Started working at UPS, Exide Battery and did concrete on Saturdays. Invested 2k a month every month into it, Cashed out 250k from the S&P and invested with my Financial advisor Nancy Jane Gluck. Cashed out and Semi retired at 31. Took a year off. Traveled. Came home and started working part time for the insurance, entertainment and pocket change. Work isn't work when you don't have to work. Becoming wealthy can be done in few years. It feels like 60hr work weeks. Feel the pain of discipline early or feel the pain of regret later. I wish everyone well!

Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol

My villagers mocked and laughed when l went to school. At 16, l moved out of the village. I went to the city. Long to short, l never lost my hope. I just watched your first 2 minutes. It was amazing, I need time to digest it before I move ahead. I am 32 now, and my life went just as you said until now, but I must admit it was not due to my own choices mostly, it was more situations and circumstances in which I found myself. My life so far has been an inspiring story to every person I meet in my path, but never to myself until I listened to this video this morning. I want to say thank you for letting me know I have to appreciate my life so far and not regret the choices I didn't have. Thank you!

This is the reason why everytime we see a successful person, we should go for their story and not just celebrate with them (as advised by one of my mentors). It's good to celebrate people's success but we learn better when we know how they came to be. I think their life testimonies give us something to learn from.

All truly successful people say the same things: what he is saying. Being successful is about perseverance, never giving up, no matter what happens and no matter what anybody else says. Every failure gives you an understanding to bring you a step closer to finishing your goal. It is so much better to be a visionary, be independent, and finally make it. But it takes difficult work, long hours, never giving up even after you want to. But you can make it, if you continue going, life cannot deny you your goal. Wish anyone else can understand this and feel this fulfilled also :)

When people think that they can't do it, they've set the limit as high as they can go. when you erase that limit that imaginary line there is unlimited possibility to reach above yourself and become something new. a person with understanding and commitment can accomplish their goals, their dreams, and their desires.

I grew up as a poor kid and became a single mum. No matter how old you are, if you have dreams go for it! Remember the kentuky fried chicken story. He was a retired soldier from memory and then the rest is the history. I achieved my degree after 50's but I never give up. Still dreaming to become enterpreneur. I managed to invest properties my home, condo and lands it appreciate every yr. I never stop! I am still studying that hoping to become enterpreneur in 5 yrs time. So, don't give up easily. Life is full of opportunities and search where you want to be. Be optimistic to see your future ahead. Good luck everyone🙂

I love Jack Ma. He instantly makes a connect with you with his ideas and motivates you to the core. He is a true inspiration for millions like me. In fact, I use his videos to teach (English) communication skills and he is the perfect example of being a good communicator. He may not be grammatically correct, but the confidence and clarity with which he says makes one say wow! So those who want to speak fluently, please speak your mind, make the mistakes, as long as your ideas are well received, it (grammar) doesn't matter.
