Thank you MAN! I literally wiped the entire drive - formatted it - and even installed Ubuntu linux but after reinstalling windows it still said bit locker encrypted it was turned off but still encrypted not sure what that was about but running these commands cleared it. THANK YOU!!!!
even after running these it still pops up for me, crazy. says 43% encrypted
yeah thanks same thing happened to me i swear it behaves much like s virus not any kind of encryption
@@th3flyingb3agl3 it ended up working for me, so after you run the prompts you basically just have to sit and wait for it to unencrypt. If you’re run prompt again you’ll be able to see the progress

This dumb youtuber disabled the bitlocker when the drive is unlocked, and there is no way you can recover or remove the encryption for your drive unless you do have the recovery key. Try to find the recovery key which was provided at the time of encrypted drive creation. God bless.

so for moving os from hdd to sdd we have to turn off both device encryption and bitlocker?
The video host does not mention that the decrypting process will take long time and run in the background. If you start this process from the windows interface then you would have a progress bar. Keep the windows power shell window open and periodically enter: “manage-bde -status” to get the status of the description. The percentage encrypted will begin to go down. That’s where I am right now at 39%. We will see what happens when it is fully decrypted. Hopefully the logon for it also disappears.

That's because you have to unlock the drive first before you can disable bitlocker.

Dear, Kindly do reply to me, I am facing an issue my Yes Button is Grayed out, can not install new apps, etc, my window is operating fully like UAC is the window itself. I tried to retrieve but that didn't work, at the end, it requires a Bitlocker key, as I don't know about the Bitlocker key. I encrypted files and folder thru windows file encryption method(without bit locker) later, before to upgrade window from 10 to 11 I have copied all encrypted data to an external hard drive. Now I am unable to decrypt files and folders.

I said my laptop isn't working and it is too slow so he told me to install a ssd in your device. First he romoved internal hard drive as well as he installed a ssd.
We did it and set everything in it.
And my friend putted removed hard drive into a case and said me that now it can be used as a hard drive but they problem is hard drive wants recovery key.
