- India U-17s beat FC Augsburg U-17s, earn second successive win in Germany
India U-17 Men’s Team bagged another training game victory in Germany, beating FC Augsburg U-17 3-1 at Paul Renz Akademie in Augsburg on Friday, May 26, 2023.
It was India U-17s’ third training game and second win in Germany. The Blue Colts had gone down 1-3 to a U-16/19 mixed side of VfB Stuttgart before winning 6-1 over SSV Reutlingen U-16. The team, coached by Bibiano Fernandes, arrived in Germany earlier this month after having played a series of preparatory matches in Spain.

If somehow AIFF(majorly by Indian Govt through some bilateral agreement) arrange something such that Indian u17 and u19 team participate in European youth league through out the year (eg. How indian arrows was participating in I League)... then indian football would be beyond imagination!

This U17 Indian Team have the potential to beat top notch teams . Just look at the way they played their last matches against the youth Teams of Laliga and Bundesliga, If they trained well and get proper facilities , mark my words We can give tough competitions and even we can beat teams like Qatar, Australia, Saudi in Asia .

Australian U17 "School team" beat Arsenal, Celtic and a bunch of TOP European teams easily earlier this yes. It was a team of some of the best school talent and they are beating academies in Europe with ease.

To be honest this surprised me alot..im so proud
Many things are good but what is still missing is intelligence in the game. Especially in the passing you need better decision making...its like they have no sense of which pass is likely to complete and which is not. Also you need flair in the players... Being able to keep the ball under pressure is important.
