    ABOUT ME
I am 25 years old. I was born in Poland and grew up in the UK. I am married to a wonderful man called Maciej with whom I vlog on a seperate channel (everdaters). I also lived in places such as Paris and Alesund in Norway throughout my life.
Why fragrances? I have always been very sensitive to smells. For example I remember being 6 years old and going on a fishing trip with my family. After catching fish I could smell fish oil on my hands for days but no one believed me. Wherever I lived I always spent hours in my local fragrance shop and get to know many amazing fragrances. Now I am sharing my passion for fragrances on CZcams. I hope I can bring you value by introducing you to new fragrances and hopefully someday interviewing perfumers and giving you an insight into the perfume industry. My dream perfumer to interview is Frederic Malle, just saying :)

Back in the late 90s my cousin passed away, my uncle gave me some clothes and cologne. That was my introduction to le male. I was in my teens, I saw the bottle and remember thinking what the heck is this? I sprayed it and didn't like it too much. Years later sadly after losing the bottle I was in a local store and saw it on a counter in a store named boscovs. I thought to myself, I remember that. I was in my early 20s at this point. I went up to spray it just to see if I still disliked it and I didn't. I got a bottle and remember spraying it in the air to smell it and thought of the good memories with my cousin. JPG is one of my favorites, not because the smell exactly but because the memories. It does smell good though. Today I still wear it at 36 and remember my cousin. He was a good hearted man with many friends. A 6 foot 7 teddy bear.

I’m in my 50’s & Le Male always garners me very positive comments. I didn’t start wearing Le Male till I was in my mid 40’s. I really didn’t get the hype prior. As my nose became seasoned I fell in love with the fragrance. (It doesn’t hurt that the Mrs loves it as well) Le Male is not only a classic, but also a work of art!
I think it’s the individual that makes it juvenile or mature & sexy. The teens & twenties tend to over spray, looking for attention. A mature, successful man, less is more & he isn’t looking for the same sort of attention. He’s confident within himself & I think those who are drawn in will Interpret the fragrance differently.
Anyway, that’s been my personal experience. Great review 👍🏾👍🏾 🇦🇺

I agree except for the part that teens overspray. I am 39 and just began overspreading. Life’s to short to wear 2-3 sprays only. I figured, if I’ve spent all this much money in this game I might as well make it work. Underspraying serves no purpose whatsoever.

Great video! I live in Canada, a girlfriend I was dating in 1995 was a pilot and she went on a trip to London. Le Male hadn't been released in Canada yet and she brought me back a bottle...WOW! Many good memories during the 90s with this. There used to be nights where this was the only thing you could smell in clubs. I think that people that used to wear it back then have outgrown it and may also have negative associations with this being ridiculously popular. The current formulation is also subpar to what this used to be but objectively the DNA has stood the test of time and it’s great to see that this is still being discussed and included in many lists.

This fragrance is very thought provoking. My older sister would always wear it when she went clubbing. I can still remember the entire house smelling of it. I agree it’s very sweet and ideally suited for younger people, but it’s a classic and at that time it was very unique. This has become more then just another fragrance for people. It’s amazing how powerful this fragrance can bring back so many vivid memories of their past. That’s what makes it a very special fragrance for many out there.

I grew up in the eighties…it was such an unusual period when it comes to fragrance. I owned twentyish fragrances as many of my friends did. We were constantly searching for the “one” that would define us. It was a time when so many extremely high quality fougeres were on the market and at the same time the sweeter scents were beginning to make headway. It was also a time when designer brands would take huge creative swings to establish themselves. My “smell” ended up being kouros….much to my old girlfriends dismay!

Always in my rotation since it was first released. I don't agree with the age comment. The Fougere aspect of it makes it suitable for all ages in my opinion. I recently gave a bottle to my father, he is 75 and apart from the fact that he loved it, it smells really great on him. It stands out from the rest of the designer fragrances which nowadays most of them smell alike, full of ambroxin and ozonic generic notes. Also this and Oud Wood by T. Ford are my most complimented fragrances. Nice video.!

I think that Le Male is a smashing good fragrance, and here's what I love about it - It's now almost 30 years old, and I think it has, in many ways, become forgotten or shunned because people think it's "old". Now that no one's really wearing it anymore, I LOVE to wear this stuff, because like you two have said, it still smells SO GOOD! I love wearing this stuff to work, because it smells so fresh and sweetly clean thanks to the lavender and mint. I almost feel like this is a secret little hidden gem (which I recognize is ridiculous) that I get to enjoy.

Good evening Monika, how are you? Great job on the video. I still love JPG Le Male. I smelled it by accident and didn't know what it was but when I found out what I was smelling, I went and got a bottle and wore it for years. Thank you for that trip down memory lane. Have a great evening.

I tried this a month ago its not the same for me, unfortunately much weaker and synthetic to my nose... when it first came out i used two bottles of this in my university years, also the scent ive worn longest, i never get two bottles of any fragrance, unfortunately its not the same as is used to be.

One of my first fragrances and I still love it when I smell it, now and then i wear it but there are fantastic Le Male flankers that I wear more often now like in the Navy and Ultra Male.

Never really understood the hype of le male. I prefer ultra male more. I do think le male is a decent fragrance, just not all that. I am excited for le male le parfum though! Can't wait for it to come out in the States.

Dad McGeeSmithjonmarkisonthethirdor4th? It’s a. Great classic unique scent. Haven’t had the original for years but I own Aqua Fahrenheit and Fahrenheit Cologne today. Both r great. Lighter versions and maybe a little more modern. But the original is still a great one today imo.

Still got some of the original left of this bought in late 90’s....but l have to decant it to another bottle as the original the spray stop working.
I remember it to be strong smell (excuse my term) but I n a good way with lots of compliment from it even do l think at the time it’s not really an everyday scent...so tend to use it only on special occasions hence why lved got some left.....to be honest the smell l think still the same as l first got it never changed for that time...did try this new one in the shop and yes they do feel a little bit sweeter smell now than the original.

Le male is a classy scent, last long (yes even the current stuff). It is well blended and has class. as long as it's not over sprayed it's a great scent. opening barbershop fresh notes are very nice. the the dry down is creamy/powdery with a slight clean sweaty note but not stinky. a very nice scent. I find the opening more barbershop notes keep it from being a teenager scent. this can be enjoyed by anyone from 20-80 years old or as long as a person is alive.

There is something in the base blend of this that PDM's Layton shares but in a weird way: when I wash my skin off of Le Male or Layton, they leave behind the exact same scent to my nose. I like this scent, but I guess I'm at an older age that might not fit well with it. 😔 Here's hoping I never hear that Layton is meant for a younger crowd. 😅

I don't know if you are getting different bottles elsewhere in the world, 7 hours on your skin? I get barely 2 hours on the paper strip. On my skin it's barely 1 hour, on cloth a bit longer. I don't understand. When you say 7 hours, around the 5 hours mark, what are you smelling, it is still sweet or just a bit of wood? Can you compare the longevity with the different version of Le male?

Bought a gift set of fragrance + shower gel
    .
    Before speaking anything else,
It’s been two days and I’ve showered twice-and yet it still lingers on my skin.
The vanilla note is gone and all that left is something fougere resembling shower gel+shaving cream sweetness
I did not find it appeasing at the first spray but now after two days,
that faint linger on skin-I’m starting to love it more and more
I like fougere because I prefer gentlemen fragrances on contrary to bubbly fragrances such as Paco Rabanne (not saying they are bad but you get it)
You can feel the juvenile tone in this from the first note as it has lots of vanilla and sweetness can be a deterrent to your mature masculinity you wanna project
I’m not saying I would make this my go-to scent but yes I’m proud to have this in my collection as a legacy piece like owning a director’s cut of Event Horizon or 2001 space Odessy (if the former is too harsh for you to gulp)
    This is a great scent.
    You should own it.
Even if you are not gonna wear it,
    Still you should own it
(don’t question the logic in that)
    p.s.
I bought this gift set for a friend’s wedding but now I’ve tested it.
I ain’t giving it to him.
I bought a fancy coffee maker instead now to gift because I want to keep this to myself.
    No,
I ain’t gonna give him another one either by keeping this to me because this fragrance is a gem and I don’t want anyone else in my circle to own it other than me

Not once was the issue of reformulation discussed even though this is one of the core elements for this type of format. Not trying to be mean just stating what is missing. I do agree however that it’s still relevant (although heavily reduced in density and performance) and have enjoyed you guys reviewing together. Have a great week-end 😉👍🏻👍🏻
