I have gotten a couple quads where ppl burned up the wiring harness after they replaced…both was because they didn’t install the grounds.

Sorry for the long post but based on the answer i receive from you i was thinking i need to send the harness back to amazon maybe the cdi box is faulty or something I install everything just as you did but you had spark when you was done and i didnt LOL!! How do you bypass the brake switch do i just connect the two wirs going to it together

Hi maybe you can help me I also notice you respond back quickly to comments i wish it was another way we can maybe speak about my issue. I have the same 4 wheeler and i ordered the same wire harness i even took the old stator off and put the new one on just as you did in your video but when i got to the end and push the start button i didn't have SPARK, So now im trying to figure out why i have no spark any help would b DEEPLY APPRECIATED.
I have helped a bunch of people walk through this. If you have IG or Facebook would be easier if you had pics. Also I have never had a bad CDI…I am almost willing to bet that is not your issue.

You can use vacuum lines from oreilys or autozone…told your old one in and they can match the size for you. Make sure to subscribe please.

How did you wire the ignition coil? I have a two prong coil, one prong goes on the coil, the other wire is a circular wire connection. How do these connect??
As long as I’m understanding you correctly…The other wire is just a ground. If you have IG you can send me a pic and I can tell you for sure

Remember in the video he connected the ignition coil to the 2 front wires but in the subtitles he states that was a mistake and ign coil connects more toward the middle/back of wire harness
Really good video. Not sure how to wire the coil in I have a green wire and a yellow and black wire that are supposed to go to it but the green wire has a circle on it like it wants to be grounded and the other wire has been normal spayed plug but the yellow doesn't match either one of the wires
Thanks man. I didn’t see one posted so thought it would blow up…didn’t happen but gets decent views. If I’m understanding correctly…One is a ground…you can ground to a bare spot on the frame. I've got a gio 150cc Dirtbike that I'm trying to put almost identical wiring harness, except your ignition coil has 2 things to put out wires into. Video is pretty good. But definitely still struggling to figure this thing out.
You connected a green and black to ur ignition coil, what do I do if I only have one thing to connect a wire to.

Excellent video first off, but I have a question, I have a 150cc coolster, I bought the 40.00 harness, there's no wire connection for the electric choke and I don't have fire to the plug, any ideas?

@@brokemexicanreviews I wasn't able to get the cover off the stator to change it. Can that have anything to do with fire to the plug, I got choke wired in.
I typically don’t replace the stator…I just hardwire the old stator into the new wiring harness. Are the brakes engaged or bypassed?

Can you please do a video on how to adjust the shifter linkage on one of these things please, i have a 150cc atv with the drive neutral and reverse but it sometimes pops out and hard to shift idk how to adjust the linkage

I had this issue before. The range of motion on the shifter wasn’t enough. Have you tried pulling it off. Turning the shifter a bit, putting it back on the shaft, retightening the bolt, then shifting?
@@brokemexicanreviews tried to no luck, even disconnected the linkages fully and tried to turn the shifting mechanism the linkage is connected to by hand no lucl, I did change the fluid, the old fluid came out the drain was grey and gooey new was like honey

Do you have a link to the carburetor you are using? I typically just do manual chokes… I have done an electric choke on a vehicle so I’m fairly sure I can help explain it… And probably link a video that will help you
I’m pretty sure it’s just a GY6 normal carb for it with electric choke.. yes please that’d be brilliant if you could thank you
I looked it up and it looks like a of work. It’s a little different than a car. I don’t know if you would want to do this but for $15-$20 you can buy a manual carb with an air filter…then the only thing you would need to buy is a choke cable. The wiring harness I listed below comes with the manual Choke cable adjuster on the accessory/start switch. Or you can manually adjust the choke with your hand and not buy a choke cable.
Can you use a 110 wire harness on a 150 ?
No. 150cc takes a different harness than 110cc. Everything I use is linked in the description. Watch the video before ordering your harness. You need to know what size Stator you have before you order your harness. Please make sure to subscribe.

Does the actual starter button barely move for you or does it click all the way in?
I have had the same issue you are having…you overtightened the screws that attach the switch to the handlebars…please make sure to sub sir.

All buttons push in a decent amount and should not be too stiff. If they are too stiff they are fastened too tight. They will still work they just feel like something is not right.

In the front of the harness there is a four prong connector for a single headlight… I believe the wires are green brown blue and white… If you have dual headlights then there are two connectors in the front that are green blue and white I believe. For dual headlights the connectors are 2 separate 3 prong connectors. As for turn signals… I know this quad was modified before I worked on it… It did not have turn signals… and the wiring harness that I ordered did not have turn signals either…the wiring harness I removed from this quad had lots of mods and splicing into it.

Are they individual wires? And not the harness with the quick connectors? Actually either way your wiring schematic should go as follows.
Blue-white to Blue-white
Green to Yellow-green
Yellow to Yellow
Red to Black-Red
Pink to White

I followed your instructions exactly and I even got another harness and I still don't have fire, I have 12v on stator, cdi, regulator but nothing on coil, any ideas?
Brakes bypassed or pressed in? Ignition set to run? If you have IG or Facebook I’m like 99% sure I can walk you through it.
I only have Facebook and yes front brake locked held down foot brake

Are you sure the quad is in the run position? Even if it looks like it is in the run position you have to push the button in to actually get it set to the run position.

My ignition coil is different why is this? It only has 1 pin connector and has rectangular connectors on both sides

did this and still have no spark. I had it for a second, but it won't come back. I ordered the same kit from Amazon. One thing I notice is that when the start switch is in the off position it will still try to crank over with no spark. Could I have received a bad start switch? Please reply!
Are you talking about the start switch on the handle bars or the ignition key?
@brokemexicanreviews start switch on the handlebar. It has the run circle arrow, and the same image with an x over it. The machine will crank with that switched in either position

Mine will not turn over. New battery and brand new harness. Reading 12.83v at starter solenoid and bench tested the starter prior to reinstall.
Silly question but is the key on?
@@brokemexicanreviews not silly.. But yes. I even tried the key in both positions.
Jumped the solenoid with a screw driver and it sparked. Seemed like it tried to spin the starter but just made a click sound.
