    SC31 Pro for me hands down. I liked it a lot that I recently ordered another one with the 5000K tint. I'm not sure if the SC31T is that different in terms of beam profile, but at least the Pro version's thermal throttling limit can be manually raised.
    The odd thing about the SC31 Pro 6500K is that its tint isn't consistent - the beam starts off a neutral white with a yellowish green tinge which only becomes a blazing 6500K white light at higher output levels.
    My Wurkkos TD02 on the other hand, shines a perfectly cool white with no annoying green tinge from low to high. Strange. They both have the Luminus SST-40 though...are these lights using different versions or bins of the SST-40?

      @DarrenYeoYT  Před 2 měsíci +1

      At these budget prices, who knows what bin they use, I've found random tint and colour variations between the same models! I think it would happen when they manufacture different batches.

      @@DarrenYeoYT Interesting observation you have there, Darren.
      If it all boils down to random luck of the draw, it's going to be impossible to predict whether one will get a good sample from a certain production run.
      Unfortunately none of these torches come with a unique serial number, which explains the absence of a physical or e-warranty card.
      I suppose the more expensive brands like Fenix, Imalent, Nitecore and Acebeam are more consistent when it comes to LED binning. 🤔

    I have to say the sc31 pro is an amazing light for the price. I have so many lights abd even the $139 dollar olight seeker pro4 and i seem to always grabthe sc31. It just works great is the right size and light output is fantastic . For the price of $35 the sc31 pro is a great deal.

    Which sofirn flashlight should you choose for short night walks? Price max $20-25. So that the light beam is relatively wide. I was thinking about sc18, but in this flashlight the light beam is distant and narrow. Is there anything cheaper than the sc31 pro with the same light beam as the sc31 pro(t)?

    How did you turn off the backlight of the sc31 pro buttons? 7 clicks does not work for many users

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Try 7 clicks from off. repeat until the button light turns off.

    • @simonr23
      @simonr23 Před 3 měsíci +1

      put it in 'pro' mode first (10 clicks and hold), then you can do the 7 clicks for light function changes.

    Can we use magnetic tail call with the sc31t? Or will it always be on when using the magnetic tail cap?

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  Před 8 měsíci +3

      Yeah it will always stay on. The mechanical switch severs the connection in the SC31T.

      i tried a.different battery it works for about 6 hours off ( i can see the switch indicator on). then after that it wont turn on again. it seems it drains the battery even if its turned off or on standby. @@DarrenYeoYT

      What are your thoughts on sofrin sc33 vs wuben l50? I have used l50 as edc in pocket. It will be a work light. Lost my l50 it was a trooper.

    • @DarrenYeoYT
      @DarrenYeoYT  Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@romeoroze2357the sc33 is much brighter, similar range as well :) it will have some extra diameter on the battery tube though. I like the L50 but a bit underpowered these days.

      @romeoroze2357 Před 11 měsíci

      @DarrenYeoYT thank you for your quick response. Since I lost my l50, I will just replace it. It was truly tested in real-world automotive use. What a work horse.
