Story of Hazrat Khadijahؒ | The First Wife | Awais Voice

Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, also known as Khadijah al-Kubra, was the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad. She was born in Mecca around 555 CE and came from a noble and wealthy family. Khadijah was known for her intelligence, business acumen, and generosity.
Before marrying the Prophet Muhammad, Khadijah had been married twice and had children from her previous marriages. However, she was widowed and eventually became interested in Muhammad's character, honesty, and integrity. She proposed marriage to him, and they were married in 595 CE when Muhammad was 25 and Khadijah was about 40 years old.
Khadijah played a crucial role in supporting and encouraging Muhammad in his prophetic mission. She was the first person to believe in his message and became one of the earliest converts to Islam. Khadijah stood by Muhammad through the challenges and hardships faced during the early years of Islam, providing him with emotional support and wisdom.
She was also a successful businesswoman and managed her trade business with proficiency. Her wealth and resources were instrumental in supporting the early Muslim community and alleviating their hardships.
Khadijah passed away in 619 CE, which was a significant loss for Muhammad as she had been a source of strength and comfort for him. She is revered by Muslims as an exemplary woman of faith, resilience, and devotion to God and His Messenger.
