TWINMOTION 2020.1 WALKTHROUGH

Epic Games has released Twinmotion 2020.1 and this is packed with a huge set of features and update which range from improved characters, screen based global illumination, area lights, vegetation, vsync and so much more.

The software has improved, but it is still far from what was presented in the teaser, it still needs soft shadow, the light can improve, more similar to Unreal, among other things. But it's on the way.

Can anyone help me? I'm using 2020 and when I use omni directional lights, everything goes pitch white and starts flickering all over the place. When exporting a image, it's almost pitch white too. Why is this happening? I tried turning reflection probes on and off but doesnt seem to work. Why is everything white like crazy? It's happening when I use more than 1 or 2, even tried changing them to spotlights it still happens.

I am new to Twinmotion and on a Mac how do you get back to standard view when all twisted up and backwards and sometimes underneath the ground plane how do I get back.

Has anyone else noticed that the landscaping / sculpting tools have been removed? Why would they do that?

It's there, but you need to click on the land itself.

I am having trouble with transparent materials, how can i make it in twinmotion? Fabric for curtains.

If it's your own texture, use png file type with transparent color. And try to enable feature Texture from two sides.

Unable to arrange daylight during the day time

Hi NK, great videos, great channel!! When I want to open a scene from Twinmotion 2018 the new 2020.1 free version just hangs. Is there a workaround, is it compatible at all with older TM version?

It works for me from version 2019, just messed up some types of trees and other object and deleted only few of them except imported ones.( I recognized even one tree looking the same that is not in a new database anymore and is uneditable.) Also need to edit scenes again.

It’s cool but crashed at least 3 times, maybe I put too many things on it (I don’t think so 🙄) I have MSI laptop i76700,16Gb 500ssd+GTX1060 , is a great software anyway.

I had the same from beginning. You have to open it from Epic game launcher. If you don't, you need to delete bug logs etc. You can find the steps in discussion on twinmotion website.

If you already have an account with epic games, use the epic games launcher - access twinmotion tab - from drop down select 2019 epic - the uninstall option will appear n then boom!

2020.1 is about 12.1gb the 2019 epic was about 6gb.

@ ok Im actually not an archicad user that much but on AC21 (assume 22 is similar):
Within open Archicad project go to:
Options>Add-on Manager.
[uncheck] DirectLink - ARCHICAD Twinmotion.
Save Changes and Reload Project.
