Our narrative begins with the distinguished presence of Mr. Uday Sahay, IPS and esteemed author of the Kayastha Encyclopedia, whose erudition sets the stage for our exploration. With profound insight, he unravels the intricate tapestry of Kayastha lineage, laying the foundation for our pilgrimage through time.
As the narrative unfolds, we are guided by the insightful commentary of Mr. Sarvesh N Mathur, curator of the seminal event that brought us together. Through his words, we glimpse the significance of our collective journey, fueled by a shared reverence for Shri Chitragupta Ji. With each passing moment, the contours of history come alive as Mr. Sahay leads us through the annals of time, recounting the illustrious saga of Shri Chitragupta Ji. His storytelling prowess transports us to bygone eras, where legends were born and destinies intertwined. Amidst the hallowed halls of the temple at Nai Sarak, we are privileged to hear from Mr. Chand Mathur, a revered trustee whose familial connection to the sacred space imbues his words with a palpable sense of reverence. Through his eloquence, we gain deeper insight into the historical significance of the temple and its enduring legacy. As our journey draws to a close, we are enveloped in the soul-stirring melodies of the aarti, a poignant reminder of the timeless bond between devotee and deity.

Congratulations Ishit Mathur... I am so proud to tell you that I am Motey Pandit ji's eldest grand daughter. I was so close to my Babaji and have loads of fond memories of him and mandir. 🙏

Thanks for connecting. Convey our regards to your family. Pandit ji’s gracious presence in most of the wedding ceremonies in Mathur families made the occasions joyful, especially due to his humorous nature. Feron par khoob hansi mazak chalta tha. We fondly remember him for being with us for years.

I remember my grandfather ( babaji) as a magnanimous person, very progressive and full of life person. I always felt him as larger than life character. He was actually a doctor (vaidya) from Banaras Hindu University, but accepted this as a gift given to him by city life. A zamindar in village, struggled to make existence in city, came to Delhi in 1950.

JAI Ram ji ki...🙏 so good to know about the roots of the Kayastha community and the background of Mathurs. My grandfather, late Shri Amir Nath Mathur, used to stay near this mandir. My childhood memories are strongly associated with roshan pura, Nai Sarak...the famous ramleela jhanki procession that used to pass through the narrow streets. Purani yaadein tazaa ho gayi. Thank you so much for making and sharing this video.
