At least you can normally find stores online sometimes having a discount on them like big bad toy store they're having a big discount on some super 7 stuff even the first two Godzilla ultimates.
Oh good, I'm not the only one who saw that sale and thought they are clearing some dead weight. And not gonna lie, as a veteran of boardgame kickstarters, how Super 7 runs their preorders would be a huge red flag.
I absolutely think that it’s the prices. $85 for something that has worse quality than neca, I think it’s awful for them to be that expensive. A price decrease is extremely warranted. Ultimates and reactions, they are both way to high for the quality.
When I heard the early reports of the Super7 Godzilla stuff I did cancel my preorders, but I did snag the thirsty for blood exclusive and its great Super7 if you are reading this you guys have so much potential and I would really love to buy more of your Godzilla figures but please step up your game
The only thing i will get from super 7 will be their ReAction Figures. I saw their 55 godzilla, 55 anguirus, 57 mogera, and 68 baragon. They look very cool.
These "current" problems with S7 figures were present from when they started out with motu classics. Their pre-order/delivery window and pricing got even worse over time, while their quality remained plain bad. It took some time but People are finally picking up on their BS.
Well, someone had to say it. I've been complaining about the same issues for years since I got their Conan Ultimates and I realized that the quality was terrible, at that time the Ultimates still cost $35 bucks and even at that price I thought that the figures were not worth it. When they announced they will be producing figures based on Godzilla I thought it would be a good time to give S7 another chance, I didn't expect their figures to be similar to the SHMA figures but I expected a step up from what Neca gave us. I think my expectations were too high.
I mean most figures don't have value initially(At least in terms of Godzilla merch). However can say Super7 is one that won't have any real value at any given time between the then, the now, and the later.
Also dont like that they say made to order. That translates to ro me that they only make the numbers for whats actually preordered meaning no extras for retailers after the fact. But then i see them on entertainment earth and 20 dollars cheaper😬
Super 7 bigger figures like the Godzilla figures should be $35 to $40 max not $80+ the quality is just not there in my opinion. Same with the smaller reaction figures $20 to $25 each when they should be anywhere from $10 to $15 max.
I've never purchased a Super7 figure at msrb before but if I did i would feel exactly like you do. Theyve never been worth $55 a piece to me. I've always thought they should be directly competing with Neca at the $35-$42 range. They should find a way to reduce their prices, maybe by using less extravegent packaging and useless accessories.
The higher ups at Super7 really need to start listening or they won't be around for much longer. I'll never pay full price for their stuff because for one thing they just aren't worth it and secondly because of things like this sale! I bought 2 figures for full price last month. Told myself then they aren't worth it then and then this happens and just reaffirms it.
I've never put value in them, the reaction line are about £17-£20 at 3.75 and 5POA. Compare that to the McFarlane basic DC multiverse stuff at £20-£25 at 7 inches, 22POA and some accessories. Super 7s stuff as more paint sure, but the plastic is the same, surely a little more paint doesn't qualify such a high retail price, seems like grifting to me
Could you do a let’s talk about Mezco. They take FOREVER to release figures. The Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla set is 4 months late and no official word on it from Mezco as far as I know.
You think 4 months is bad? Their Ultimate Godzilla was announced in July 2021. It’s been delayed so much that it’s now set to release 2 1/2 YEARS later.
Never actually thought about it until you mentioned the super7 exclusives thing, thinking about it. Remembered seeing something like that when I pre-ordered the 1200°C cause he seemed unique enough.., from BB. Seems a little off-putting that their exclusives are showing up in other retailers.
I have stayed away from the Ultimates because I have distrust in Super7 from way back when they took over MOTU Classics. I got lured into buying a bunch of the TMNT figures with the BBTS sale. I feel like I overpaid, even with the sale price. They are poorly engineered and the plastic feels very rigid and breakable. I can’t imagine many people feeling good about paying $55+shipping for these. None of the things mentioned in the video are anything new. Super7 has had issues with quality control and broken promises for years now and it hasn’t changed.
Yeah, I stopped after doing it for Slash (cool as hell, basically my dream figure). It's currently available for sub $20. I think the Toxic Crusaders figures are cool as hell, but I'm going to wait.
Honestly love my TMNT ultimates and transformers ultimates. Thing is just about every one of them I gotten for dirt cheap outside just 1 of them. They’re hit or miss and vary like crazy in qc but I guess the cheap price I gotten a majority of them hasn’t really bugged me. Honestly 30-35$ wouldn’t be a bad price. Maybe cut down on the packaging? I honestly prefer them over stuff like Marvel Legends and Star Wars black series which I think has gotten way overpriced itself. And YES! Ultimates Slash has to be my favorite.
I don't collect much Super 7. I've only dipped into this pool seven times. Five of the seven were a completely different time from Super 7. It was when they had the MoTU license. I did buy their first TMNT Shredder on a sale price. I don't have any regrets about preordering Karai from BBTS. I love the character and honestly, I prefer this look from Super 7 to NECA's Last Ronin one. Will it be on sale? Probably. But for that lone figure, I'll consider it a noble sacrifice to prefer this version over the NECA one.
You buy what you love to support the companies making them. Remember the mid 200x when every toy company started to die and collecting fell into a dark period? It's coming full circle once again with everyone complaining and wanting to buy on discount.
If they charged less they could sell higher quantities. $55 is insanity for a line like the Simpsons that could have upwards of 1000 figures to collect. They should be $35 if you pre order through Super7, and $40 at online retailers once in stock.
I like the super 7 TMNT and Toxic Crusaders lines SO MUCH that they inspired me to get the vintage lines. Seriously, i thought to myself “SELF! You didn’t own Super7, you owned playmates!” Thus started my vintage tmnt and Toxic Crusaders collecting…. then i found TMNT ultimates for cheap at retail in australia and i thought i’d get a proper look and they’re wonderful. They’re too expensive, they give too many “accessories” that “increase cost”. Nobody needs the 27 sets of hands. The original extra weapons rack was a waste and the boxes…. just give us an option; buy in a brown box or buy in display box. One is cheaper. They also need to raise the QC. The QC seems to be that the figure made it into the box, thus it is acceptable. B. Flynn needs to talk less. a lot less. Consistent delivery of product. announce a line, open orders, have a set date for release, stop the delays due to the inability for the team to try and do too much. I could keep going but who cares, am i Right?!
I really want to buy some like gi Joe, but they dropped the ball with the second wave, and qc issues. I also want some TMNT.. but again i haven't pre ordered since i feel they keep letting me down
I’m really considering buying the upcoming SpaceGodzilla. I know SHMonsterArts is releasing one but that going to be $180+ 😬 I’d much rather have the $60 Super7, but it seams that I can probably get it cheaper after release.
Recently I've been seeing people say how dog shit Super7 products are and it's why they're always on clearance. Many images of their figures breaking and have been damaged from just posing them.

The only Super 7 figure i'm excited for is Papa Emeritus III. I love metal and think that would be a cool collector's idea to do band figures. I still have my McFarlane Metallica light/sound band set mint in the box. Same with Angus Young and Bon Jovi. It would be cool to see S7 take on Metallica, Def Leppard, Kiss, Slipknot, ect.

In the past few years I think like around 2020 or whenever they start doing their smaller Godzillas is when they learned about them. The only ultimate figure I have from super 7 is the Red power ranger dino zord. I personally like it and I'm thinking about getting the dragon zord and maybe the megzord but besides from thoes i. Want to get the metalunna mutant and the radioactive red rage taxi toxie. I so far find their figures fine and the overpricing is not really that great honestly if they were the price of neca figs i would love that.
I will say I don't really plan on getting the ultimate Godzillas, that's the whole reason I got the red Dino zord. It was on sale at Best buy because the box does damage in a didn't have the sleeve but it's basically around the same size as the Godzillas but the pricing of a normal super 7 ultimate. I may only get the super 7 Godzilla ultimate if is a monster that we haven't got before for most likely won't get one for a good few years. If they made a gabra or titanosaurus or gorosaurus I would probably be on that and buy them
As someone who got into Super7 Ultimates through Godzilla and Power Rangers, I am kind of annoyed and agree with some of your opinions regarding the issues. Like I assume the issues with the Godzilla line is between licensing with Toho, and even their agreements with Bandai behind the scenes. For example, I do not recall the figures being promoted with very toy-like gloss finishes until they were released. Whereas, with Power Rangers, the problem seems to be the core PR fanbase was not receptive to Super7. Many fans do not like the price, the figure molds, and the scale, so it eventually led to Wave 4 getting screwed mad hard. Currently, the Zords are the best damn figures, and I really want the Tigerzord back...
The poor quality of super 7’s Tmnt line with weak legs and articulation is why I sold all their stuff and focused solely on the fair superior vintage line.
I think the recent sales show that these figures do not sell in huge numbers. S7 aren’t a company like Hasbro they make more niche lines that don’t sell that well so if anything I expect to see prices rise maybe if they want to keep making these figures.
Man that’s a brutal take/title, even for you Steven. Still, I don’t think it doesn’t have merit… mind my double negative there. While I can’t speak for the rest of Super7’s line up, their Godzilla line has been kinda lacking, especially their Ultimates line. While I wouldn’t personally go as far as saying the figures in the line are COMPLETELY worthless, I will say that their price to quality ratio does not match up at all. Especially in comparison to the competition, controversial as some figures from certain lines may be.
Back metal was impossible til silver hawk 2 version , how many ultimates suffered from lack of shine: samurai Leo, metal Godzilla, robot bebop & rock steady & silver hawk. I recall getting glow Godzilla for $65 plus shipping on 7 a year ago. Thought he’d be a 7 exclusive (shogun Godzilla GITD). Today EEarth has him for buy 1 get 1 half off i just got him! & EEarth has him in stock..!

Unacceptable for the quality control and plastic being all gummy Also the blatant lack of mouth articulation on the Godzilla figures so an alternate head is used to jack up the price even more is inexcusable I have 3 (T. rex dinozord, dragonzord, plant biollante) and only dinozord was good straight out of box and is still good What sucks is that I have to rely on super7 for destoroyah because I refuse to pay $1000 for the monsterarts and I think it’s gonna be quite a few years before Hiya ever gets to making one
I’m thinking, Not Ready for Prime Time items. Let’s face it, toys are NOT intrinsically valuable, like buying Gold or Silver Bullion, they are toys. The collectors assign “value”, for whatever reason they want. Playability, artistic design, subject matter, etc. Some makers get it, some don’t. Super 7 is one that doesn’t get it, and show they don’t care. Maybe they count on the Fanboys to carry the hype, we know other companies that have done that, and many have failed and fallen off the face of the Earth. Super7 produces some great items. Some not so great. Hits and misses happen to all companies. Also sorry, none of the collectables have true value. The market fades and soars with time. Cabbage patch dolls? I have a lot of Sideshow collectable and Bowen Designs Statues, and they make me happy. Isn't that the true value? Super7 Does what companies don't. Silverhawks FTW!!! Super7 Ultimates hold zero value. Most of them look good and are packaged well, but tge joints aren't great, they have limited poseability, their human figures have terrible likenesses, and there are a lot of breakage issues. Problem is, even if they fixed all of that, collectors are already used to paying deep clearance prices on product. Once people know they can expect steep discounts, they will just wait it out.
I paid full price for slash and the tmnt and all my figures have loose legs. They aren’t worth the money. I stop with slash. I wanted to get the krang figure, but after all the bad reviews I was like ehh. And I seen the figure for like 20 dollars and I still won’t buy it. I was going to get into the thundercats, but some are pinless, some have pins. The inconsistency is their problem, their pricing are ridiculous. Just a ehh company
I tend to stick to Four Horsemen, Toy Notch, Figma, MonsterArts/Figuarts, and Creative Beast Studio. Would you say those are as good, better, or worse than Super7?
Super7 isn't a "worse" company I would say. I love, sometimes adore their products, it's just a matter of what they're doing when it comes to their products and getting them on the market.
I’ve been burned too many times by them. Also there’s too many inaccuracies in Thundercats and Silverhawks to keep going. When the company tells you the series style guide is wrong and their design in right… yeah , I’m good. The wewantmorethundercats guy is a huge problem, I’ll call it out. He is easily triggered and has a plastic addiction. He will agree with anything Brian says for a few free samples and clicks. And by huge problem I mean putting bandaids on gunshot wounds. I want to see super7 succeed. Nice guys and very creative team, but we are seeing major issues. They can absolutely turn this around but have to listen to the people who spend the extra money, not the people who put their hand out for samples.
The only comment I can make on thunder cats would be there are some REAL bangers there, the LJN wave was a chef's kiss, is really liked it but it was overpriced. Regarding other creators, if that's how you feel, more power to you my friend; personally just citing my source. Super7 does have a lot of passionate people behind the scenes but it just seems like they just fumble constantly. Not sure what it is. The latest excuse is retailers bought too much. @@StevensToyReviews canceled orders is correct. Qc has pushed a lot of people away when the usual reviewers started calling issues out. Much respect to them for being honest. The LJN wave could have been really special if they actually were accurate. Several pictures surfaced of Lion-O’s accurate boots and Mumm-Ra having a place in his face for batteries. The head dress is also terribly off for Mumm-Ra where they used google rather than the actual figure in hand. They were offered lots of references and their sculptors wanted a lot of accuracy but ultimately didn’t push for it. Several people I know canceled because of that , which goes exactly with your theory.
I don't own any SUper7 figures. I've never found value in their insane prices and their ReAction line seems obscene in how its priced for what it is. I'm a longtime Godzilla figure collector. I love articulated Big G's. I have a ton of SH Monsterarts and NECA. A few others. Those are some of the worst Godzilla Figures I've ever seen. The proportions are just awful. The head on the bright green one is tiny. Happy to have skipped these.
I think one of my biggest gripes with super7 is QC. I've been waiting to get the mmpr red ranger and to my disappointment every copy I've got to look at at my local shops has had really awful paint apps.

It's not the BBTS sale, as I said. This is one MAJOR sale, including new stuff. And yes, econ 101, anyone can tell you that. However, how did it get there?
That's the thing. If these were $35, I would actually pre-order some of them. Hell, I even ordered a few of the MMPR products at $55 like Goldar, Rita, King Sphinx, and the zords. They just aren't $55 figures., though. $35? Sure. At that is where the catch is. Because these start at $55, people are waiting on huge sales and getting them for sub $30 prices. Sometimes sub $20. If Super7 just dropped the prices to $35, they would move more volume and avoid these clearance sales.

They’re too expensive, they give too many “accessories” that “increase cost”. Nobody needs the 27 sets of hands. The original extra weapons rack was a waste and the boxes…. just give us an option; buy in a brown box or buy in display box. One is cheaper.
They also need to raise the QC. The QC seems to be that the figure made it into the box, thus it is acceptable.
B. Flynn needs to talk less. a lot less.
Consistent delivery of product. announce a line, open orders, have a set date for release, stop the delays due to the inability for the team to try and do too much.

I’m really considering buying the upcoming SpaceGodzilla. I know SHMonsterArts is releasing one but that going to be $180+ 😬 I’d much rather have the $60 Super7, but it seams that I can probably get it cheaper after release.

Recently I've been seeing people say how dog shit Super7 products are and it's why they're always on clearance.
Many images of their figures breaking and have been damaged from just posing them.
Really hope Destoroyah is gonna be good it’s the only one I’m gonna get because I have it in the monster arts line, I’m super sad I missed out on the thirsty for blood ….
The only Super 7 figure i'm excited for is Papa Emeritus III. I love metal and think that would be a cool collector's idea to do band figures. I still have my McFarlane Metallica light/sound band set mint in the box. Same with Angus Young and Bon Jovi. It would be cool to see S7 take on Metallica, Def Leppard, Kiss, Slipknot, ect.

In the past few years I think like around 2020 or whenever they start doing their smaller Godzillas is when they learned about them. The only ultimate figure I have from super 7 is the Red power ranger dino zord. I personally like it and I'm thinking about getting the dragon zord and maybe the megzord but besides from thoes i. Want to get the metalunna mutant and the radioactive red rage taxi toxie. I so far find their figures fine and the overpricing is not really that great honestly if they were the price of neca figs i would love that.
I will say I don't really plan on getting the ultimate Godzillas, that's the whole reason I got the red Dino zord. It was on sale at Best buy because the box does damage in a didn't have the sleeve but it's basically around the same size as the Godzillas but the pricing of a normal super 7 ultimate. I may only get the super 7 Godzilla ultimate if is a monster that we haven't got before for most likely won't get one for a good few years. If they made a gabra or titanosaurus or gorosaurus I would probably be on that and buy them

As someone who got into Super7 Ultimates through Godzilla and Power Rangers, I am kind of annoyed and agree with some of your opinions regarding the issues. Like I assume the issues with the Godzilla line is between licensing with Toho, and even their agreements with Bandai behind the scenes. For example, I do not recall the figures being promoted with very toy-like gloss finishes until they were released. Whereas, with Power Rangers, the problem seems to be the core PR fanbase was not receptive to Super7. Many fans do not like the price, the figure molds, and the scale, so it eventually led to Wave 4 getting screwed mad hard. Currently, the Zords are the best damn figures, and I really want the Tigerzord back...
The poor quality of super 7’s Tmnt line with weak legs and articulation is why I sold all their stuff and focused solely on the fair superior vintage line.
I think the recent sales show that these figures do not sell in huge numbers. S7 aren’t a company like Hasbro they make more niche lines that don’t sell that well so if anything I expect to see prices rise maybe if they want to keep making these figures.

Man that’s a brutal take/title, even for you Steven. Still, I don’t think it doesn’t have merit… mind my double negative there. While I can’t speak for the rest of Super7’s line up, their Godzilla line has been kinda lacking, especially their Ultimates line. While I wouldn’t personally go as far as saying the figures in the line are COMPLETELY worthless, I will say that their price to quality ratio does not match up at all. Especially in comparison to the competition, controversial as some figures from certain lines may be.
Back metal was impossible til silver hawk 2 version , how many ultimates suffered from lack of shine: samurai Leo, metal Godzilla, robot bebop & rock steady & silver hawk. I recall getting glow Godzilla for $65 plus shipping on 7 a year ago. Thought he’d be a 7 exclusive (shogun Godzilla GITD). Today EEarth has him for buy 1 get 1 half off i just got him! & EEarth has him in stock..!

I'm sorry that Super 7 is being so shady in its marketing practices and being so bad at customer service. The company should be straightforward with customers instead of manipulating them.😔 When I saw the title "I Don't Think Super 7 Figures Have Value," I thought it might be about Super 7 Figures breaking very easily, which is what a RetroBlasting video said was common for NECA figures. 😮

I have 3 (T. rex dinozord, dragonzord, plant biollante) and only dinozord was good straight out of box and is still good

I’m thinking, Not Ready for Prime Time items. Let’s face it, toys are NOT intrinsically valuable, like buying Gold or Silver Bullion, they are toys. The collectors assign “value”, for whatever reason they want. Playability, artistic design, subject matter, etc. Some makers get it, some don’t. Super 7 is one that doesn’t get it, and show they don’t care. Maybe they count on the Fanboys to carry the hype, we know other companies that have done that, and many have failed and fallen off the face of the Earth. The Bitterness of poor quality, remains long after the Sweetness of the bargain price has passed away. I’m not buying any more of S7 stuff, not even if It were NRFB at 3 for 1 at rock bottom prices. Super7 produces some great items. Some not so great. Hits and misses happen to all companies. Also sorry, none of the collectables have true value. The market fades and soars with time. Cabbage patch dolls? I have a lot of Sideshow collectable and Bowen Designs Statues, and they make me happy. Isn't that the true value? Super7 Does what companies don't. Silverhawks FTW!!!

Super7 Ultimates hold zero value. Most of them look good and are packaged well, but tge joints aren't great, they have limited poseability, their human figures have terrible likenesses, and there are a lot of breakage issues.
Problem is, even if they fixed all of that, collectors are already used to paying deep clearance prices on product. Once people know they can expect steep discounts, they will just wait it out.

I paid full price for slash and the tmnt and all my figures have loose legs. They aren’t worth the money. I stop with slash. I wanted to get the krang figure, but after all the bad reviews I was like ehh. And I seen the figure for like 20 dollars and I still won’t buy it. I was going to get into the thundercats, but some are pinless, some have pins. The inconsistency is their problem, their pricing are ridiculous. Just a ehh company

I tend to stick to Four Horsemen, Toy Notch, Figma, MonsterArts/Figuarts, and Creative Beast Studio. Would you say those are as good, better, or worse than Super7?
Super7 isn't a "worse" company I would say. I love, sometimes adore their products, it's just a matter of what they're doing when it comes to their products and getting them on the market.

Also there’s too many inaccuracies in Thundercats and Silverhawks to keep going. When the company tells you the series style guide is wrong and their design in right… yeah , I’m good.
The wewantmorethundercats guy is a huge problem, I’ll call it out. He is easily triggered and has a plastic addiction. He will agree with anything Brian says for a few free samples and clicks. And by huge problem I mean putting bandaids on gunshot wounds.
I want to see super7 succeed. Nice guys and very creative team, but we are seeing major issues. They can absolutely turn this around but have to listen to the people who spend the extra money, not the people who put their hand out for samples.
The only comment I can make on thunder cats would be there are some REAL bangers there, the LJN wave was a chef's kiss, is really liked it but it was overpriced. Regarding other creators, if that's how you feel, more power to you my friend; personally just citing my source.
Super7 does have a lot of passionate people behind the scenes but it just seems like they just fumble constantly. Not sure what it is. The latest excuse is retailers bought too much.

The LJN wave could have been really special if they actually were accurate. Several pictures surfaced of Lion-O’s accurate boots and Mumm-Ra having a place in his face for batteries.
The head dress is also terribly off for Mumm-Ra where they used google rather than the actual figure in hand. They were offered lots of references and their sculptors wanted a lot of accuracy but ultimately didn’t push for it. Several people I know canceled because of that , which goes exactly with your theory.
You see a lot of people shill for figures in their videos....and I mean the people who seem like they are getting kick backs from the companies.
I don't own any SUper7 figures. I've never found value in their insane prices and their ReAction line seems obscene in how its priced for what it is. I'm a longtime Godzilla figure collector. I love articulated Big G's. I have a ton of SH Monsterarts and NECA. A few others. Those are some of the worst Godzilla Figures I've ever seen. The proportions are just awful. The head on the bright green one is tiny. Happy to have skipped these.
I think one of my biggest gripes with super7 is QC. I've been waiting to get the mmpr red ranger and to my disappointment every copy I've got to look at at my local shops has had really awful paint apps.
They have value to the person who looks past the monetary part.

It's not the BBTS sale, as I said. This is one MAJOR sale, including new stuff. And yes, econ 101, anyone can tell you that. However, how did it get there?
That's the thing. If these were $35, I would actually pre-order some of them. Hell, I even ordered a few of the MMPR products at $55 like Goldar, Rita, King Sphinx, and the zords. They just aren't $55 figures., though. $35? Sure.
At that is where the catch is. Because these start at $55, people are waiting on huge sales and getting them for sub $30 prices. Sometimes sub $20. If Super7 just dropped the prices to $35, they would move more volume and avoid these clearance sales.
