I wish I knew about this channel sooner. I loved Super Butter Buns and I love Super Extra Buns too! This is my first video over here and I'm amped to see more. Also, I really love how long the videos are. It means I can come back and pick it the same thing over and over. Watching this felt kinda like a Netflix series of panic, zombies and cute blondes

And seeing fur baby again, makes me wish they would bring that game back.
I would love that! I've seen multiple playthroughs where people call the white dog Hewie and it made me so glad, especially since the game is so hard to find nowadays. Maybe we'll get lucky one day and get a remake. But also the game was considered 'controversial'...so Capcom might not be willing to risk it.
I swear, Tyler's complete lack of spatial intelligence and awareness leads to some of the funniest yet most infuriating moments...

What I love about Buns most while streaming, is that you can always near enough guarantee that when there is a stealth section in a game, she will automatically fail it about 20 seconds in, then just be like "...So I said screw it and just started blasting"

13:22 - I never saw that post but I concur with everything you said. The only other way to do it is to have tutorial messages, scripted events, or just straight-up icons telling you everything. I remember the first time I saw/heard some comment pointing out that the spots with bird shit in Assassin's Creed II indicated that there was a safe place to fall there. Did it ruin my immersion? A tiny bit. Was it an organic means of communicating information that would've been infinitely worse if the game just had clear video game icons everywhere? Fuck no.

2:17:39 - If you squint he sort of looks like Peter Dinklage with a mustache.
2:37:53 - I really, really like this change. Aside from being way more interesting as a means of separating the two, and reinforcing the parasitic control aspect, the acting and dialogue *REALLY* sells the idea that, rather than exclusively blaming herself for something she hand no control over, she's genuinely scared that she'll be forced to act against her will again. That Leon will have a moment where he lets his guard down or something, Saddler will take control, and when she "wakes up" he'll be dead with his blood on her hands. Plus, considering how fucking terrifying the notion of having something worm its way into your head and rob you of your own mind and body is *_I'D_* be freaking the fucking hell out too.
2:44:52 - While I still prefer the old merchant's voice, the only thing they needed to get right most for me was the laugh and I think the voice actor and director did a *PERFECT* job of capturing it.
3:03:29 - Seriously, this is some *GOLDEN* design that lead up to this:
1) Introducing the lantern in a previous gameplay sequence.
2) Previously establishing that the parasites don't like light.
3) Giving the player a means of keeping threats at bay without being beholden to a fickle auto-target system like the original while still feeling vulnerable due to the short range.
4) Taking away the resource not because they make the character a fucking lobotomite that fails to pick up the lantern again, but because the lanterns get extinguished and she can't just will fire into existence.
5) The crème de la crème: creating a Silent Hill movie-esque sequence where the knights are stopped in their tracks in an organic manner and forcing the player to crawl through them while also giving players an up-close look at the parasite that has infested the armor. Fucking brilliant.
3:15:35 - Another thing I really like is that they added female cultists. You see female villagers in the early game but after that, the whole game is a goddamn pickle jar aside from Ashley.
4:40:21 - Practically guaranteed actually. Apparently, a user error called "limp wristing" tends to cause malfunctions with pistols like that. The user fails to properly compensate for the recoil and it ends up causing the slide to get stuck. Even if Ashley was experienced with firearms, given how much her hand was shaking while trying to resist Saddler's control it's actually a minor miracle she managed to even get TWO shots off, let alone try for the _THIRD._
4:58:20 - This is actually another one of the better changes in the game. Previously it wasn't even clear if Saddler bought his own bullshit or was just using the cult, and his motivations were just "tear down 'murcia" because he didn't like it. _Here,_ not only is the motivation further touched on in one of the text documents and combat dialogue in a way that actually makes sense, but it also ties into the new backstory of Saddler having descended from a group that was exiled after the Plagas were contained. (And we all know the kind of damage religious nuts can do to people, especially isolated communities consisting entirely of zealots.) The fact that he's infected and the parasite spreading itself is what it wants to do _because_ it's a parasite and all that shit certainly doesn't hurt either.
It's shit like Dead Space that's dumb, where you have a full-on death cult that looks at screaming mad zombies ripping people's heads off and thinks: "Wow, gimme somma dat!"

Pretty sure this was like a $500 jacket when the game came out. I remember there was a place in Kentucky or Tennesee that specialized in them a few years back and they were like $1000 a pop.
I've heard cowhide or deerskin leather is about half the price, it's just a bit stiffer.
Ashley was also 20 in the original.
Seeing remakes like RE4R makes me want remakes for other older games like Kingdom Hearts BBS and Fossil Fighters series. 🥺

Yeah if there's another remake it should be either RE1 (I know it technically already got one but like... It's pretty old) or Code Veronica (that is PRETTY OLD and could benefit from a remake). RE5 has aged fairly well,it's really not urgent
it's become my new headcanon that leon gets ashley training from a one-eyed mercenary after this in cqc and she goes on to become a full fledged badass
1:50:00 honestly the only thing you need to pass hardcore and professional and what not is to play the game enough times to know the game. It's not as tough as it seems initially
