I'm over the moon with excitement each time I listen to your videos. Currently, I am working on anger management. Whenever I find myself in the situation, I stop a while and try to recollect your lessons- More, Less, Less. More of listening, Less of speaking and Less of anger.
Though, not 100% there. Everyday I take a 'dose' of your video to keep me going. Subconsciously, I hear your voice when I make an elegant mistake, or when I need to take an elegant decision.

1. Watch the tone of your voice (when angry or upset, wait before you react )
2. Don't raise your voice
3. Avoid talking too much (don't repeat yourself)
4. Avoid the use of fillers (emm, ahh, etc), practice by talking in front of a mirror without using filler for 60 seconds
5. Pace your words (allows you to collect your thoughts while speaking)
6. Pay attention to your manner of approach
7. Don't tap & hit your listeners (this table is a tough one😂😂😂)
8. Keep your hand gestures to the bare minimum
9. Avoid the use of slangs, swear words and cuss word
10. Improve your vocabulary (while watching movies, reading books, watching news etc)
Being an active listener
1. Listen with full care & attention (don't listen to respond, or defend yourself)
2. Be respectful, considerate and compassionate
3. Don't interrupt when someone is talking to you
4. Show that you are listening
5. Avoid every form of distractions (phones, TV etc)
6. Reflect emphatically before you respond (compassion, respect and consideration)

I think we shouldn't use filler words at all, when you see you're trying/about to use a filler word, we should take a pause. Taking periodic pauses, helps reduce the use of filler word. 😊

Thanks for this video. It is very insightful!. In regards to the use of slangs, swear words and curses, in this gen z era, in some female friendship groups, the word bitches is no big deal but once a person in the group makes it known that "I don't like that word when referring to me", the response is why are you forming, you are being too serious or you just lack fun or they generalise it as "everybody says it". But I feel when one makes their standard known, they know not to come to you with those words.
This elegance talk really made me think of this classy people I have met who are usually tagged as "Bougie"😂. They are the perfect definition of elegance. They always seem to own whatever conversation they are holding or the space they are in and also their mannerisms. Their aura screams confidence and class all the time and they sure do make an impression!
