I have yet to even receive my kickstarter Fort. I also paid the extra $99 freight express shipping fee in December.
I don’t know anyone was still missing after paying the $99 freight shipping fee! That’s horrible.
Good review, didn't know about this product till now. We use Kids Explorer Sofa from Sam's, it's very much like Nugget but cheaper.
I’ve saw it the other day (more like weeks ago) and it looked like a pretty good deal! It’s always tempting to get more but the house isn’t big enough lol.
Hi. Im literally at Sams now starring at the explorer sofa. Do you still have it? Would your recommend it? I heard bad reviews about its zipper.
@@kristinarivera1926 Oh ya, it's good, we are still using it. Personally it's been great, my kid loves it. I think the zipper would break down if you take the cover on and off a lot. So far no issues with the zipper for us.

Yup definitely lucked out! Although I know I would've probably had some FOMO if I didn't get in on the Kickstarter in the beginning.

Yeah I got drawn in by the $200 Kickstarter price and then $50 shipping was like blah fine. But the last $100 was crazy!

How did they solve the magnet position N and S in new generation? You keep flipping the magnet?
I lucked out and didn’t have any issues with magnets polarity. My sister in law has that issue and haven’t figured out an elegant way besides flipping the magnets.

Hmmm I don’t recall I seeing one but since I’m here in Texas I don’t always look out for the prop 65 notice.

For $250 the price isn't as bad, but not sure how good the new magnet system is. It looks like 6 are north polarity and 6 are south polarity. This might limit the amount of builds as certain pieces only snap with the opposite polarity. Unless you really want a magnet system I'd probably still stay away as their website said the magnets are not as strong as the regular fort. The regular fort magnets aren't exactly the best hold already.

Magnus has many many of the same issues.... Poor customer service waited a year and half to receive my couch... Paid close to 900$ CAD after shipping was charged 🥴 was told shipping would be aprox 50$ USD 🤞 hoping against hope that this couch doesn't absolutely suck... I know a lot of people are already having issues with magnets

Same, I got in on the 50% off Kickstarter and decided not to pay the extra freight and just take a loss of the company went under 😅 i didn't want to give them more money to misuse.
I think the product is BAD quality in that it's purpose was to build structures. I'm not sure what they used previously in their prototype videos but the structures they produced are absolutely impossible with the product the sent us.
I think their biggest mistake was trying to grow to fast. Initially they designed one foam peice with one color cover. Then each peice was seperated from the cover. (An ok update bc it probably was cheaper to manufacturer them seperately.) Then they HAD to make different colors (mistake #1.) Then they HAD to tack on bogus accessories. (Big mistake #2!)
They used some of the 3 mil for non-manufacturing products (like how the creator infamously boasted about new purchases and paying the entire year for daycare for the first time) which is not a negative UNTIL you factor in all of the manufacturing issues they had. It's bad PR.
I will never recommend this to anyone. No matter how many times they try to reinvent themselves. The magnets are not strong nor are there enough to keep the FORT together and I'm way older than a toddler and can understand where each peice needs to be placed.
Right now my daughter uses it as a safe place to jump on bc we live in the top floor of an apartment and I'm trying to get her to understand that there are people below us and we must be respectful.
Finally (sorry for the long post!) I saw that some of your fort peices have to he counterbalanced with the Nugget. I have to do the same, but I do it with other pillows and objects to keep it up.
I try not to have regrets and just take my Ls and make the best of it.

Very good points! He was a bit too ambitious and then when he saw the 3mil he didn't think about the future and just started using the money. If I didn't have my Nuggets then the Fort would probably be even less worth it as together I'm able to use them a bit better.
I'm not losing much sleep over the loss, but I just wanted others out there who's interested in the FORT to know what kind of company they'd be buying from. Even if we take out the bad company part the product is overpriced. I think these should be priced at $200, but then again even if they dropped the price to that low they have a long way to go to redeem themselves. (If that's even possible).
