2000 spiderman game was my first spiderman game. I became interested in this game after watching sam rami’s spiderman 1 in 2002. When I saw that purple guy, I didn’t even know that was a venom. Now I’ve been playing marvel spiderman 2. Time flies man

I love how the insomniac games represent the core themes of all 3 games within the first cutscene.
Sm1 is about Pete trying to balance his life Peter with his life as spider-man, so the first cutscene shows an eviction notice and him blowing off his job with Otto to take down fisk.
Sm:mm is about the community of New York, Harlem in particular, and so it shows miles, not swinging above the city, but walking through it. Not viewing the people from way up, but interacting with them.
SM2 is about relationships. Peter and Harry’s symbiosis with venom, Peter’s friendships with Harry and miles and love for mj, Miles’s vengeance for lee, and so it shows Harry’s fist time bonding with venom and Peter’s and miles’s friendship and partnership as spider-man

There’s something really interesting about the Spider-Man friend or foe opening, it’s like the culmination of everything that happened in the Raimi trilogy is being thrown at spider-man. And edge of time was fantastic as well
