I don't care what any one says I love akainu. People hate him cause he killed ace like what do u expect for him to hug ace and kiss him. If I was akainu and I was a marine I would have done the same thing.

So far he seems to be the only one fit for the job except for Sengoku and Garp who are retired. I mean, yeah he killed Ace who was a good guy, but not every pirate is like Straw Hats or Whitebeard's crew. Hell, most of them are like Blackbeard or Kid and when you are against people like them, you don't want lazy or unclear justice, but swift magma punch. Of course, he wouldn't hesitate to kill bystanders if that would allow him to eliminate criminals (although as seen in Marineford he doesn't go for collateral damage) but that what makes his a villain

1 he was only doing his job.
2. He was aiming for luffy but ace(who could have gotten away but decided to stay) jumped in the way.

In actually, Oda made all logia’s clothing affected by their devil fruit type to avoid them always being naked or half clothed during fights.

In manga, Akainu blocked WB's Murakumogiri by one leg, while hands in pockets. In manga, Akainu didn't just burn WB's mustache but his head. In manga, Akainu wasn't afraid of WB standinh behind him, cuz in manga WB ran and immediately attacked Akainu w/o waiting off guard from behind to his head, where as Akainu immediately contraattacked back melting WB's head. It's stated in databook if future yonko BB and his yonko army hadn't run from Akainu alone in post War Arc, they d all lose

For most people calm poker faced schemer characters like Johan or Aizen are the best villain for them. But for me it would be Akainu (or BB have to see through the end). The casualties Akainu inflicted on are no joke. He is truly a terror on screen and the destroyer of plot armor. Of course, I don't think he will kill Luffy but next time Straw Hat fights him I fear more than one of them is gonna end up dead.

I have this crazy theory that pops in my head while working. Not sure whether this is true but i am going to say it upfront anyway.
People have been debating who will be the final enemy of Luffy: Blackbeard or Akainu. I think Akainu is the likely candidate due to the following reasons:
1. Akainu might be the most powerful person currently. Oda said he will find One Piece in a year, suggesting he has Pirate King feats.
2. If the theory of Yonko = admiral is true, it makes sense that the strongest among admirals balances out the strongest among pirates (Pirate King vs Fleet Admiral). There are four admirals in total, including a fleet admiral. This counters the four yonkos, including future pirate king himself (Luffy).
3. If anything, Blackbeard's goals allied with luffy more than anything else. BB never kills Ace and they both attack impel down and then marineford.
4. If the above three reasons are true, then the final reason why Akainu will become the final enemy of Luffy makes even more sense: Akainu has to be the enemy of the future pirate king -- the final obstacle. After defeating/overcoming akainu, luffy certainly reached pirate king status from yonko level.
A bonus reason is that Luffy has a grudge against Akainu for killing Ace but that is really an unimportant one because 1)Killing Ace was World government's business, not Akainu's. 2) Ace really made that conscious decision to die/commit suicide when he turned around to fight Akainu instead of running away.

With what we have seen from the yonkos we may think they are not in that level of strength, but I genuinely believe we haven't seen not even a single bit of their power, dont forget they didn't use haki in the same way ppl do it now (to be fair i cant give you an answer of why they didn't use advanced forms of haki despite they were dealing with a yonko) but I'm 100% convicted that when the final against the world government (the obviously final enemy) whe gonna see this almirants in an absolute Yonko tier power scale
