Since Melissa's Ursula had a very subtle overall look, we are going to give her the Drag Queen make up that she deserves! She will get big hair, beat face, and bawdy yawdy yawdy! O M G. This is SO much better than their version. I concur! Where was the Divine in Mellisa’s version. I feel like they cut that reference out. That’s one of the main reasons the cartoon was so cool. You KNEW it was a drag queen. Even as a kid, I knew. Melissa in a dress is just… Mehh. We need that drag octopus realness, MAW MAW… okkkuurr?!

I’ll never forget how he sculpted Lizzo’s body, it was so gorgeous. He’s so good at doing plus sized dolls.

As a huge Little Mermaid fan, I really enjoyed the live action movie. But I do think Disney missed the mark on a few things. Major one being Ursula’s look. You’re doll is exactly how she should’ve looked! Love her. 🐚🐙

I loved the scene just before she changes into Vanessa, where she’s digging through her potion ingredients. It looks like she’s arguing with her tentacles, and that’s because octopus tentacles each have their own tiny brains in them.
I love how you really emphasize the Devine drag look here and it still looks like Melissa McCarthy.
She turned out absolutely stunning.
I definitely think color shifting paint really added that extra oomph that she deserved.

The ending was very fun and immersive; imagine if you could've voice acted for the characters like once upon a time! I was genuinely entranced by the artistry and beauty of your doll sculptures. A job excellently executed Hex, as always 🖤

Disney totally gave her "business meeting at an MLM office in Ohio realness". "Applying for a small business loan at the local bank realness". "Preacher's wife at the Christmas party realness". They did not serve us 'Queen of all the undersea evils' like she deserved. They really drew back when they should have pushed out. The live action was a fantastic opportunity to go Over The Top and they reeeeeally just kind of went Slipped Under.

Ursula is my all time favorite Disney villain! This is what she was supposed to look like in the live action! I didn't mind Melissa's performance but they dropped the ball with her look. Ursula was one of the first body positive characters that didn't mind showing her extra rolls. The live action Ursula looked just like the fairy godmother from Shrek like you said ! 😭😭😭

Yes, yes, yes! This is the Ursula we all grew up with. The drag queen makeup, the larger than life style, the body proportions. You took this meh-looking doll and turned her into the real queen we all knew she was. And you didn't have to include her little poopsies, but you took it to the next level by doing so. Perfectly flawless work! Well done! 😍😍😍

As a mass produced doll this Ursula isn't bad. The sculpt actually looks like Melissa McCarthy. The movie make up for Ursula looks more like the overly posh garden club president of the 1960s, someone who sure her money and status give her license to whatever she wants. It's not a bad look but not as over dramatic as the cartoon Ursula. I would have preferred something closer to the orginal outfit but this design probably had to do with hiding the wires and harness.
This doll is the perfect fusion of the old and the new. And the little story at the end of.the video...chef's kiss perfection.

From the Rococo version of Ursula, this version is her living in exile from the palace and plotting your evil revenge against King Triton and then the merfolk. After all the OG voice actress who played Ursula said that she was playing her as an old washed up diva longing to return to the stage.
I like how the final doll still looks like Melissa McCarthy, it just shows that she could’ve pulled off a look like this really well!

I loved her original cartoon version for the way she was unmistakenly giving the "great aunt that definitely has no good intentions *slimyness*" through her character, charisma and over the top attitude. It made her a good villain and I'm glad you gave her justice :3
