- We're bringing back a vintage favorite today y'all! Titus has been asking for an apple cake and today we deliver! If I can keep myself from tearing the kitchen apart that is...😆😂 We bake a Vintage Fresh Apple cake, and it makes the whole house smell like Autumn at the Bakery y'all! 🍂🤗
Vintage Fresh Apple Cake
Ingredients:
3 cups All purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/4 cup oil
2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
1 cup coconut, optional
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup apple cider, (You can add a little more if the batter is still very thick.)
3-4 medium sized apples, diced
In medium size bowl mix together flour, soda, cinnamon, salt, allspice and nutmeg and set aside.
In a large bowl mix the oil and sugar together till sugar begins to dissolve, then add eggs and mix to incorporate.
Add half the flour mixture to the wet mixture and stir in well. Add remaining flour mixture and mix to incorporate.
Add in the apple cider, walnuts, coconut, vanilla and apples. stir well to mix all ingredients.
Pour in a prepared Bundt pan and bake at 325°F preheated oven for 60-65 minutes.
Let cool before cutting.

Falon, my daughter-in-law sent me the most precious video of my son reading to their 3 month old little girl. ❤️🥰 She was just so locked in on her daddy reading to her. It does this grandma’s heart good after the last couple of weeks since my dad passed away.

Hey Falon! I use my Swiffer duster wand and tape it to a yard stick or long wood dowel to reach all the dust webs in the corners and on ceilings in my house. Also use it outside to collect all the spider webs on deck posts and lights. Just slip the duster off inside a plastic grocery bag, knot it and toss. Voila! Makes a yuck job easier!

Manley can do animals sounds real good. Use coffee grounds in your garden & with your flowers. It really helps. We had a flower to die on us. Daughter started putting coffee grounds in the soil & it has started growing again. Love y'all

Use to make a apple cake years ago and I lost the recipe this is very similar to it but I know mine called for butter and if I am remembering correctly 6 eggs lol I'm definitely going to try this one thanks 😊

Some folks leave the chickens locked up for a week or so after major changes. I've never done it so I can't speak to that, but it might be worth a try just so you know when they are going to lay and they put themselves back up.

Apple cakes are a big thing in the mountains of western NC. I love them. My apple trees are loaded, but only half way up… the deer for up as far as they could reach. Lol have twins in my yard, so they have to eat also.
