I don't think you can use track man for these balls. They have a smaller diameter and much smaller surface area, therefore less aerodynamic drag. That's why they do go farther. The trackman uses actual ball data, launch angle, spin, ball speed etc. to calculate distance but it also calculates based on the estimated aero drag of a normal sized conforming ball.
I think you may be correct. How about you hit them on some holes with wide and flat fairways and see if they ACTUALLY go further as opposed to some technology estimating what they all are doing.

Gimmick Balls it appears. You should test the Wilson Boost Balls. they have at Walmart for $9.97 for a Dozen. They feel like Rocks but do appear to go further than some of the other balls out there.

Typical with nonconforming equipment, it doesn't bring much in the way of improvement, and certainly not outside one's own standard deviation. I suspect it IS nonconforming and the distance is coming from it being slightly smaller in diameter. But it's just a few yards from the driver, which is hardly worth the drop-off in greenside playability.
Range balls are horrible indicators of distance. Whenever I'm working on distance--total or gapping between clubs--I bring along a dozen or so used "real" balls. The difference is about 8-10 yards with the 8-iron and at least 15 with the driver.
Forget Bandit and ProV1X... let's talk about the real bandit here - Skye! He should put down the camera and play in some comps with dad! I would LOVE to see that! Perhaps you two could bring Coach and the big Cat out of their recent CZcams retirement (Golfholics) and challenge other CZcamsrs...MSG & The Bandit vs EVERYONE! We can collectively work on a good nickname: The Golf Assassin, El Bandido...still in the works...

Matt, if I recall correctly from some of your older videos, I thought your son played left handed, but I may be wrong. Great swing either way left or right. I think the reason the balls are illegal is the diameter, to small. Nice review.
Love the test. Would love to have seen the ball RPM for the drives since there was variation in distance with similar ball speed. (also would help me out because I swing around 117mph but my distance is only avg around 275, so I know my RPM's are too high).
I grew up playing Top Flight being a poor Middle/High School kid so I love harder balls. I play ProV1-X and have for a long time but I don’t mind the concrete balls 😂 I honed my game on them.
I honestly can’t tell a difference if I pure one. Only time it seems to matter is off center hits, or around the greens. If you’re a hacker like me, that shoots in the upper 70’s to low 80’s on a good day, and otherwise believes golf is a time to be outside with friends, sipping scotch and smoking cigars, I say stick with what’s cheapest. More cigars and scotch that way.
