I noticed Luffy has the same observation haki killing technique Shanks has. Remember that brain dead mode Luffy had where Enel couldn't use his observation haki/mantra on him 😅
I mean, it also added a ton of tension to the start of the Katakuri fight. Luffy breaking the mirror wouldn't have been half as cool if Katakuri didn't seem like an impossible challenge. It seems pretty obvious that a villain is going to do something that Luffy finds objectionable, which causes him to flex his conqueror's. I mean, duh. I really hope that if Oda does decide to instigate it with a future sight vision, he doesn't try to play it off like it's really happening. In this chapter it was clear that it was a vision, not what was actually happening, I think it was all sort of shaded grey? I hope Oda is consistent with that if he shows one or more of the SHs dying in a future vision.
I think by the time we reach end of story, what will reign supreme is Haki (Pure ambition of being the King) and Devil fruit will just be a little extra side dish on the side for perks
@Roll No. 4 That’s why I want Luffy defeat of Blackbeard to be due to Haki and is mastery of it. Because ambition and willpower are the two central elements of his character which tie into Haki. If Luffy lacked ambition or willpower he wouldn’t be where he’s at. He’s determined to become the pirate king and that determination isn’t going away.
I feel the devil fruit is a bit more symbolic than that, Specifically about a person’s desire, Ex: Luffy wants to be the freest, he gets the devil to do that, BB wants Darkness and Destruction, he gets devil fruit to do that. The concept of Devil fruit comes from Adam and Eve and their desire to eat from the forbidden tree

I hope we get to see this in Egghead. Luffy becoming a monster towards the Marine Fleet about to come and destroy everything on Egghead. This will seal his status as a Yonko
Luffy does not need to seal or cement his status as a Yonkou...He defeated a 2 Yonkou alliance, when even the Marines didn't want to interfere. If you said to put his bounty near Shanks would be better tbh.
@@justbny9278 nah my guy. Oda holds him back. I could give you so many examples, but I'll give you the most recent one. On Egghead island there is a traitor and Vegapunk went missing, conveniently enough all the 5 SH's that can use observation haki suddenly forgot how to use it. Besides, we now have Morgan's who is basically Luffy's hypeman and PR to the entire world.
I like this idea. To me, the best way I can see it happening right now is during Egghead. After Luffy beats everybody, wins the day, and absolutely cements his Yonko status, Imu just decides that 'Nope' and death lazers the island. So here we have Luffy and his crew absolutely exhausted, with even Luffy and zoro being unable to move, but cheering and celebrating. Sanji is starting to make food, Nami is driking and bitching at Zoro and Luffy for getting themselves injures. Chopper is running around healing everyone. Etc. When suddenly, the death beams start falling down. Each strawhat gets a beam and vaporized, one by one in front of Luffy, before the island gets exploded. Then this is revealed to be a future vision, about to come true in like 3-5 seconds, and Luffy freaks the fuck out, panics, screams, and finally unlocks whatever ulti-conqueror Haki happens to be to stop the 16 holy bullets island-buster.
Brilliant theory. And it makes so much sense. I’m so fascinated with conquerors haki and Luffy in general so I’m very hyped to see how Oda ties it all together for the finale. Gonna be amazing.
agreed. made a viddeo on it on my second channl - without the same level of Morj detail though. i think shanks saw a dark future and thats why he warned Whitebeard
I don't think future sight needs to be shown every instance that its being used. That would be annoying to read, even more so to draw I'd imagine, so its best implied most of the time. Simply existing in a fight adds a barrier to entry for the highest league of fighters in the story. Knowing its being used makes the fight have a sense of unreachability, like these are no longer fights on the scale of people or warriors, but gods. Its pretty similar to Jedi fights in star wars, the force gives them a future sense which they use constantly throughout fights. The books mention how they try to read each other and also prevent others from reading them as well as block force attacks in general. Otherwise it just seems like they're spinning around a lot in the movies but you don't really need to know thats happening for the fights to still be cool, though knowing it does make it better.
The life of Roger and how he had to team up with garp to beat the rocks pirates clearly shows the pirate king isn't the strongest nor is strength the reason Roger was the most free. Not to mention if kaido was the strongest creature alive he would have been dubbed pirate king based on strength alone.
1 minute in and i have to point out the subtle hint that we may have gotten in marineford. when Luffy tries to do gomu gomu no bazooka on mihawk he gets his first baby steps into future sight by seeing the future of his arms being sliced off, and stops the attack. a few chapters later and we get the famous "YAMEROUUU" scene where we see the first sign of his conqueror's haki come out. i wouldn't put it past oda to have slid in that little future sight scene so early on to hint at the connections with conqueror's haki that we're seeing now with shanks
What if Luffy tapping into the final level of conquerors to save his crew happens on egghead with the same people that were there when he failed before
About Doflammingo unlocking his CoC, I think it was to protect himself (and also to demolish his captives), when he and his family were tied to stakes and about to be killed.
imo both types of Haki mainly serves to add an extra dimension to fight scenes beyond just punches and kicks, with future sight giving characters to do that you laid out. It's a bonus not the main purpose from the get-go
Theory going along with the Morj: With Jay Garcia on his way to Egghead, the World Governement could take control of the seraphim putting, the straw hats in a dire situation where Luffy's Conqueror's Haki from his will to protect the crew is the only thing that can override the Gorosei's orders
We still don't really know what an "advanced" conqueror's haki is, and for this theory to be true we have to assume it just means a stronger wave of haki (which seems pretty redundant). I'm not sure if I agree with the part that says this will awaken a new level of haki, but I definitely agree this might be the reason future sight became a thing: so Oda can show the strawhats dying without actually killing them (and we all know how much Oda loves to get pretend deaths)
I disagree about the future sight take. Future sight is always active and necessary against people like Kaido or Shanks or even Katakuri to a degree. It's true that Future SIght has only been *mentioned* a few times. However those times it was mentioned were to denote a character using it to an extreme degree. When Kaido uses Thunder Bagua, he uses Conqueror's Haki to move so fast that you can't see him-- and aren't even aware that he began an attack. The only way to counter such a move is by using Future Sight. When Luffy learned how to use Snake Man, he needed Future Sight to do so because as the attack continues, it moves too fast for Luffy to be able to aim; when you look back at the Katakuri fight- he and Luffy were in a feedback loop of using future sight as the Snake Man portion all happened in an instant of an instant. Thus, we get no explicit mention now when future sight is used because beyond a certain point of power (namely speed)*, you have to use Future Sight to even get in the ring. When we do get mention it's because people like Katakuri, Kaido or Shanks are using Future Sight to see several seconds ahead as opposed to a few seconds.
Imagine an entire chapter where the SHs are completely eliminated, killed in brutal ways (silhouettes only) and then... the last panel... focusing on Luffy, maybe Sanji too, seeing the future: "No!... That cant' happen". Then the next chapter is Luffy (and maybe Sanji helping) just rushing like a mad monstrous monkey to stop whatever or whoever is going to do something unspeakable to his friends. Honestly, this video made me replace my most hyped awaited moment from Kuma leveling Mary Geoise with an atomic-level Ursus Shock [
The theme of haki blooming when you need to protect someone when you're utterly powerless is the reason I don't like Zoro's awakening as a Conqueror's user. Oda robbed us of a moment for a really dramatic, character defining moment for him.
I remember when the community was saying that luffy saw the crew died when kaido boro blasted Oden’s castle and that’s why he elephant gunned kaido. I remember that was a break week too so the theories were wild lmao
17:17 sooo true omg. They both are future sight users trying to protect those they love (Shanks wanting to protect his crew and Katakuri wanting to protect his family)
If anyone other than morj posted a video with this title I would have thought it was click bait bullshit. But when I saw morj post it I was so hype 😂 because morj’s takes are always super based.
16:47 Theres actually another moment I can think of where we were actually SHOWN future sight in the manga and its Luffy preparing to attack Mihawk and we see a panel where his arms would be cut in the future but he attacks the ground instead of at Mihawk who would've cut both his arms off.
This is why you can never dismiss a Morj theory. Such a great, compelling theory with real, in-story references and connections. They hold more weight and feel plausible even if you dont believe it.
We did see how doffy got his conquerors when he was tied about and about to be killed I think. I could be misremembering but he was a kid in the flashback and his dad was a celestial who wanted to be a normal citizen and the villagers ended up attacking his family or something
I genuinely think that you get the final round of Luffy vs Katakuri wrong. Luffy was specifically using Snakeman, embodiment of speed, because he knew his future-sight was no where near as good as Katakuri's but even if Katakuri could see what's going to happen it doesn't mean he cam stop it from happening if he cannot move fast enough to do so. This thing happened when even when he saw Pudding would suddenly start to cry but could not prevent it from happening. Luffy himself wasn't using future sight in the final round because he was the one making the move, he was the offensive specifically because that was the only way he could match up to Katakuri. Be the first and the fastest to attack.
What if the whole "bad possible future" is what Luffy sees if he were to fail on protecting his crew or someone important, and that's why everyone forgets about their dreams and Luffy being the pirate king? Oda is showing us what Luffy is going to see during that traumatic moment, something so tragic that allows him to see years into the future
I think we're now going into a portion of the story were the Will of pirates is going to start taking a more physical form. So think that Shanks Powers might fall into a new category of power outside Devilfruit and Haki that will be more about the personal Will a Person and turning that into something physical.
Damn. I've been theorizing about the Davy Back Fight with Shanks and could Oda have given us a hint at what Shanks can do with haki through Foxxy. I know it sounds silly. But Shanks seems abnormally fast and was able to pop up in Marineford in the middle of a battlefield with no one noticing him until he stopped Akainu's blow. What if like Foxy, Shanks can slow time? But instead of with a devil fruit, Shanks uses Conqueror's haki to do it or even just mess with people's perception of time? This would fit really well with the idea of Luffy awakening it and in a moment where his friends are in danger. Luffy, literally slowing time to save his friends would be epic.
another thing to note is that they also call it color of the supreme king (as much as i dislike that translation) kings are those who protect their citizens and subordinates
16:47 I'm not a real One Piece fan, nor do I frequent the series, but I think I know a third Future Sight moment. Whenever Luffy was about to Gum Gum Bazooka Mihawk at Marineford, and he foresaw his arms getting slashed off. Wasn't that Future Sight?
This moment you are talking about is what I wanted in wano with luffy protecting his crew from kaido, but I guess its something oda wants for the final saga
Even with Doflamingo, he unlocked it to protect himself, Rosinante, and arguably Homing. While it's debatable whether or not Doflamingo cared about Homing anymore at that point, I think it's pretty clear he still loved his brother, in his own twisted way.
Maybe this is what egghead is building up to. All these battleships, kizaru, st Saturn, the seraphim and cp0. An overwhelming amount of variables to control. Maybe st Saturn uses that UFO weapon and luffys sees his crew get evaporated in the future and has a rage moment and destroys the fleet/kizaru putting the world on notice.
Imagine a surge of all three types. Armament making you invincible and striking with steel crushing force, observation making you untouchable, and conquerer causing fear in even your most strong willed opponents
Imma say it now, if Goda kills off the entire crew in front of his eyes and then the chapter ends, I will cry for an entire week until the next chapter comes out showing it was Luffy’s foresight.
Unrelated, but I think if you put some dim red lighting behind/surrounding the Shanks portrait it would make your room and it look that much better even.

3:18 Same with Zoro, he doesn’t see himself achieving the title of the World’s Strongest Swordsman unless he can protect his crew. Zoro also becomes an unstoppable demon (Asura) when his crew is in danger. He tapped into Asura when Kaku insulted Robin, when the pacifista was threatening the crew, and when Kaido was about to kill Luffy. Zoro also has many parallels with Whitebeard. So Zoro has to tap into this final level of Conquerors haki. Edit: Zoro still has not unlocked Deva path techniques yet
W comment
That robin scene never happened in the manga .
Zoro just randomly used Ashura when Kaku started gaining the edge in the fight

The first 30 seconds of explaining Luffy's potential trigger, i got goosebumps.
Bro I'm gonna cry when this happens
At least in the manga, Zoro also shows CoC for the first time when he was desperate to save Luffy from Kaido, it also counts for the trend you mentioned.
He went straight into Advanced thanks to Enma, but it confirms even more just how important Luffy is for him.
I noticed Luffy has the same observation haki killing technique Shanks has. Remember that brain dead mode Luffy had where Enel couldn't use his observation haki/mantra on him 😅
i dont think Shanks version works that way lol. Would be hilarious tho. Drunken sword style
@Izaz1155 yeah, I know lol. I was just thinking, if Luffy and Shanks fight, I know how Luffys gonna win lol
@@varptm3672 yeah yeah for sure, Devil fruits will definitely will be something that give depth to the character but I think the final thing to rely on physically is gonna be Haki, Friendship and Determination
“little extra side piece” is not what i would call a devil fruit. especially when the MC’s devil fruit is a GOD. and multiple other broken abilities.
@@26zz i dont think its broken , luffy makes it broken
This is one of your best videos yet I enjoyed every second of it. It didnt even feel like a theory at all it felt like you were just telling my actual plot point and telling whats gonna happen.

@@nunobettencourt1429 Yes but it is not fully accepted by The World Government `or Navy
Damn bro. Fucking shivers. This is way too good for GOda to not use it. Hopefully something similar plays out because it sound fantastic
This theory is so spot on I would be surprised if this doesn't happen. Excellent video Morjman
The life of Roger and how he had to team up with garp to beat the rocks pirates clearly shows the pirate king isn't the strongest nor is strength the reason Roger was the most free. Not to mention if kaido was the strongest creature alive he would have been dubbed pirate king based on strength alone.
Great video bro.
You forgot the scene when Mihawk cuts Luffy's hands.
This also means imu sama will have strongest conquerors haki
1 minute in and i have to point out the subtle hint that we may have gotten in marineford.
when Luffy tries to do gomu gomu no bazooka on mihawk he gets his first baby steps into future sight by seeing the future of his arms being sliced off, and stops the attack. a few chapters later and we get the famous "YAMEROUUU" scene where we see the first sign of his conqueror's haki come out. i wouldn't put it past oda to have slid in that little future sight scene so early on to hint at the connections with conqueror's haki that we're seeing now with shanks
Talking about dramatic future scene, not as much as the ones you mentionned, is when Luffy sees his arms being cut off by Mihawk at Marineford.
What if Luffy tapping into the final level of conquerors to save his crew happens on egghead with the same people that were there when he failed before
OHHHH. YOU BASTARDDDDDDDD …Damn. Now I genuinely can’t see it being played out any different. I pray ur right (:
About Doflammingo unlocking his CoC, I think it was to protect himself (and also to demolish his captives), when he and his family were tied to stakes and about to be killed.
imo both types of Haki mainly serves to add an extra dimension to fight scenes beyond just punches and kicks, with future sight giving characters to do that you laid out. It's a bonus not the main purpose from the get-go
10:20
That line about Mingo was cold af.

Missed luffy at impel down with the wolves
Theory going along with the Morj:
With Jay Garcia on his way to Egghead, the World Governement could take control of the seraphim putting, the straw hats in a dire situation where Luffy's Conqueror's Haki from his will to protect the crew is the only thing that can override the Gorosei's orders
Great video...In terms of two future sight users in fights, it might just be cancelled out...kind of like two people using Atium in Mistborn.
Honestly, this video made me replace my most hyped awaited moment from Kuma leveling Mary Geoise with an atomic-level Ursus Shock [
it also might be a new form of haki we have not yet known
Characters using future sight in the series ❎
Morj using future sight to theorise about future sight ✅
Can't wait to see Usopp unlock Conqueror's haki awaken when he needs to protect someone.
8:55 And also when Luffy was protecting Bon-chan from the wolves.
Great video!
Also supporting this theory is ennies lobby. When Zoro awakens his conqueror, he is thinking about Robin a moment before unleashing ashura.
This makes a lot of sense. But we will see
U posted this right after it came out💀💀💀
"Some of you are going to be outside" 😂
Really enjoyed the break down and theories in this video. Thanks Morj!
17:17 sooo true omg. They both are future sight users trying to protect those they love (Shanks wanting to protect his crew and Katakuri wanting to protect his family)
I reckon Roger's Haki reputation came from the God Valley incident. Garp and Kaido spoke of his Haki and were at God Valley after all.
This convinced me that the D. In Will of D. Stands for dreams
Just the start of this video and this might be your best one yet
If anyone other than morj posted a video with this title I would have thought it was click bait bullshit. But when I saw morj post it I was so hype 😂 because morj’s takes are always super based.
morj on wild mode. Awesome theory and I too believe it to be true
Morj you are so good man. This top shelf OP content.
16:47 Theres actually another moment I can think of where we were actually SHOWN future sight in the manga and its Luffy preparing to attack Mihawk and we see a panel where his arms would be cut in the future but he attacks the ground instead of at Mihawk who would've cut both his arms off.
Crying for almost 20 mins from sheer hype. Thanks morj
Your theories and analysis are so freaking cool, man. Thanks for this!
I appreciate you making the tape on the shanks poster not visible ❤️
So he's final power up will come in Egghead, because such a situation is what's is developing rn
"some of you will be going outside"
Hilarious
Luffy, literally slowing time to save his friends would be epic.
add stretching into the mix due to the nature of his devil fruit , this could be 100 percent haki +fruit =Space time manipulation
So finally morj made a sensable video i agree with this one alot more than the raid failing
I agree 100% and I am way too hyped about this dramatic moment you described.
another thing to note is that they also call it color of the supreme king (as much as i dislike that translation)
kings are those who protect their citizens and subordinates
Oda: invents future sight with ulterior motives
Morj: now *I* have future sight
"Ace would become an unstoppable force to protect someone he loves"
Ace: "DON'T MAKE FUN OF WHITEB-"
*dies*
Saturn looked really menacing this chapter
16:47 I'm not a real One Piece fan, nor do I frequent the series, but I think I know a third Future Sight moment. Whenever Luffy was about to Gum Gum Bazooka Mihawk at Marineford, and he foresaw his arms getting slashed off. Wasn't that Future Sight?
Brilliant analysis 👌
.....what if you can apply Conqueror's in a fashion similar to Observation, and that's the methodology of Shanks's "observation killing" thing
Duval's Bull was Luffy's 1st usage of Conqueror's Haki.
You also forgot about Luffy using future sight in marinford while stopping attack on mihawk
basically what you explain in the beginning is, in purpose of being the freest, you need to be the strongest
This moment you are talking about is what I wanted in wano with luffy protecting his crew from kaido, but I guess its something oda wants for the final saga
15:03 goddamn I laughed so hard at this. I forgot how hilarious Gear 5 vs Kaido was
The quality of a king, I would say.
Doflamingo awakened his power while he was losing the most precious to thing to him which was his status as a Celestial Dragon
Even with Doflamingo, he unlocked it to protect himself, Rosinante, and arguably Homing. While it's debatable whether or not Doflamingo cared about Homing anymore at that point, I think it's pretty clear he still loved his brother, in his own twisted way.
Doffy was defending his right to be a celestial Dragon, not his brother.
Replace the word haki with Rizz and toss video becomes HILARIOUS 😂😂
Maybe this is what egghead is building up to. All these battleships, kizaru, st Saturn, the seraphim and cp0. An overwhelming amount of variables to control. Maybe st Saturn uses that UFO weapon and luffys sees his crew get evaporated in the future and has a rage moment and destroys the fleet/kizaru putting the world on notice.
Solid stuff
That's an amazing idea 🤯 Luffy seeing his crew die in future would fit so well for causing him to gain his final form. That's 🔥
