WOW!!! Another great episode! Rick is in full on panic mode and Michonne definitely sees a change in him, which is what Nat potentially warned her about. Michonne will not give up even with Rick trying to do the right think in his eyes. Half way done, 3 more to go!!! It's only going to get more intense!!!

I was worried with GIMPLE in charge but with Fear, Tales and WB done and gone now we have Dead City & Daryl Dixon and now this phenomenal series I think he has got the Franchise back on track. I hope this series is not limited, there is no way...right? The CRM story seems too big to tackle in 3 episodes. my guess is Thorne and Jadis will be gloriously killed and we will deal with CRM later seasons or series. I hope Michonne is the one to kill Jadis and Rick kills Thorne. BUT NO MATTER WHAT IT IS TIME FOR JADIS TO GET HERS!!!
Jadis will have consequences for keeping Alexandra and who Rick really is a secret. I think she's bluffing about having a file!
I love the complex nature of Jadis’s character. I smile when she enters the scene. Plus she saved Rick’s life. Where would we be if she hadn’t saved him.
I'm not sure if you understand she said their _loved ones are _*_NOT_*_ lost; it is they (she & Rick) who are lost._ She's from the 'African Coast', she CANNOT get back home while Rick IS HOME, so to speak but can't escape. It's just that the way you're quoting her is a bit confusing.
I think Thorne is jealous of Michonne. Not because of Rick, but because she could be a threat to her position in the CRM. She sees that Michonne could easily take her spot.

I hope she had the engraver make a phone call with everyone, a family picture and then gave it to Rick and that's how he found out about his son RJ. Would be very romantic.

Either way, he is going to change big time once he knows he also has a son, a son with Michonne! Bec I think Rick loves Michonne even more than he did Lori, their love story feels more like an undying unending love, for life and beyond ❤
People keep forgetting about the beginning of thr Negan saga. Rick was broken. He was scared. He didn't want to fight. Michonne did. She gave him attitude. She kept a rifle and practiced with it and went hunting. Rick literally took the gun and her deer and gave it to Negan. He didn't want anyone else to die especially her. She was pissed. But she convinced him that they needed to work together and fight Negan. They couldn't do it alone. He listened and they came up with the plan. This is that plot only the stakes are much higher. So yes Rick has been broken and submissive before because his family is thr most important thing to him, not his own ego or pride. It wasn't the Governor or The Terminus cannibals that did it. It was Negan. And now, the CRM is the most formidable thing they've ever faced. But they have to do it together. That's the theme of the series.

But also remember, Rick's overall vision is about the future. He will sacrifice himself for a better future for his kids. He has said it. And he said it when they were scavenging for Negan.
He always comes back...he just needs a little nudge. I think episode 4 will be that nudge.

Michonne was able to accomplish what Thorne couldn’t. She showed that she clearly was an A and Thorne was not. Their mission was a success thanks to Michonne.
Thorne is still an A. All because she couldn’t push that thing doesn’t mean she isn’t one.
@@jLachelle3 THorne was a person who has skills. She clearly did not have the brains to let someone help her push. Not saying that she’s not an A because she wasn’t strong enough to push. She knew the mission was accomplished not because of her but because of the quick decision of Michonne. Otherwise, the mission given to her would have failed.
@@jLachelle3 Thorne is not an A. Her retelling of the story on how Okafor found her proves it. She was sitting, smoking a cigarette when Okafor landed. Told him to leave her to die. A types don't give up so easily. Her alcoholism proves that she has a wealth of insecurities she's trying to hide. She needs Rick to help her kept her A appearance as they rise up in leadership. She's not jealous of Michonne because of romantic feelings for Rick. But her attachment to him is for her own well-being in the CRM.
@@phoenixrising8231Thorne telling Okfar to leave her to die is no different from Rick about to kill himself after realizing he can’t escape. In her case she couldn’t back to another continent. You mention her alcoholism, but episode 3 shows bottles in Ricks room he drinks as well. I don’t think all As are the same. She can be an A, just not in the way that Rick and Michonne are.
@@jLachelle3 there is a difference between being rescued & deciding to leave on your own accord. Big difference. The fact that Thorne never tried to leave shows she's not a type A. Even by her own definition she's not a type A. She told Michonne that she's the type that wouldn't farm but be asking questions. Thorne doesn't ask any questions. She just takes handouts. First from Okafor & switched to Beale in a nanosecond. She doesn't have her own moral compass like Rick & Michonne has. She the lady sleeping in the tree eating crickets. Rick is her knows shit person.
Lets respect the artist as an official character. His name is Benjiro. And hes the real mvp here. Its because of his art that michonne found rick and the art helped rick hang in there

Another really good episode! You understand why Rick is acting that way, it’s to protect Michonne, Judith and everyone at Alexandria. Thorne is officially a villain. She tried pulling a Shane. That ending was wild. Very hyped for the next episode. Also, I think when Michonne found the artist who drew on the phones, it showed her that Rick never forgot about them or gave up going back home... just couldn't. This is peak Walking Dead.
Im sure we’ll find out why Thorne has changed. Villians are never cut and dry on TWD.

Exactly. It's always in the back of his mind that Judith isn't his, but RJ is definitely his kid. That changes a man's focus quicker than anything.

That is what Jadis did to Heath, in season 7 episode 6 when Tara and Heath were looking for supplies, Heart disappeared, in season 7 episode 10 in the junkyard there was a camper RV the same one that Tara and Heath had and on Talking Dead it was confirmed that the RV the Jadis was driving in season 9 episode 5 was the same RV, also it was confirmed that Heath was traded to the CRM for supplies and he most likely is dead or Alive
Remember he was like this with the Saviors too but Michone pulled him out of that too!
There is no "file" jadis knows the CRM will kill her too if rick leaves because she brought him in so she just made it up to scare rick into not leaving

I loved the tension building from the start of the episode. The longer they are together in the Civic Republic the higher the risk of them being found out. With Jadis, Thorne and Beale on Rick’s case and him trying to keep Michonne and the people back home safe, the pressure intensifies. Rick is torn, he knows he can’t leave without risking the lives of everyone he loves. The final scene when the pot has truly boiled over, Michonne pulling them out of the helicopter makes sense, she knows in that moment there is no other way. I look forward to next weeks reaction. Thank you for your reaction. Enjoyed every moment.
I don’t know, guys. If Rick and Michonne don’t make it home by ep 6, then Gimple better make an announcement of the crossover series to get us the reunions we desperately seek. Don’t string us along forever. So far we’re being teased with zigs and zags guys. Can’t imagine Andrew and Danai letting that go on indefinitely.👍🏻
I can't believe it but I'm back. The ones who live has brought me back to TWD. Only because it's good. Really good. Glad to watch your reactions again.
@DarylDixonTHEGOAT I've been with TWD since 2010 Halloween. Day one fan basically. And it got me in to the comics deeply. But even now I stand by what I said. After season 10 the show did dip in quality. All around. And the series finale should have been this with Rick. They fumbled it hard. So after that I stopped watching and didn't care for the spinoffs. But if their bringing Rick back finally and doing it right, hell yeah I'm going to come back. Andrew Lincoln made that show. It's just further proof that this should have been the finale to the main show. Look at all the fans coming back. For one character. Cause that character is so good.
Rick gave up into despair. Michonne gave up but had hope. She has a home and a family to go home to. When Rick gave up he spiritually died.

Thorne is a hypocrite and a hater. Rick told her Dana/Michonne was an A. So she knew and it was her decision to bring Dana/Michonne to Portland but she blamed Rick cause she got showed up as weak and not a leader. Thorne at this point needs to just shut up and sit down.

Partially agreed. I think Beale was strategic in promoting Thorne, but wanted to test her and see how she reacted to it. I think once she got that briefing, she was essentially scared and not prepared for that kind of leadership - she kept noting that she's "not Ofgalfore," which I think is a point of uncertainty and doubting that she could do what he did. And then with Michonne going off grid, she just feels threatened. But all of it, I feel, is Ogalfore testing both Rick and Throne - and I'm still wondering if maybe Beale could have a different motivation/overall plan for everything.
@MHrickgrimes I agree with that. If Beale had major issues with both Thorne and Rick, he would have gotten rid of them as soon as their protector (Okafor) was out of the picture.

I don't understand how the guy who drew into the phones got Judith so perfect. She was still a toddler when Rick left so how could he have described her as a tween? But he couldn't draw Carl, who Rick has seen. Make that make sense.
This episode was really good. 3 weeks left of season 1.
I can see them using Nats rockets to try to destroy the CRM. I really hope they make it home and Rick gets to meet RJ.

Nat had materials on his wagon. Didn’t Rick take the wagon when he took Michonne’s katana and journal/phone? If so, all they need is gas or oil, I think he said. I do think the purple gas and weapon is Checkov’s gun. So we will see it used later

Episode 4 is supposed to be so good, Danai wrote and was a showrunner for it I believe. So this next episode should give us some Rick and Michonne catch-up and it'll be so drama 😂 I honestly love seeing them in this light. It's more romantic but in just the right way.
I think him knowing her name won't matter cuz he doesn't even know she's in there using a fake one, he has no idea what the situation is. Idk though it's an interesting thought

I believe (and hope) they purposely didn’t have Michonne tell Rick about RJ is because they’re saving that emotional scene for the finale. After Rick is reunited with Judith, Michonne tells him I’d like you to meet RJ.

Thorne thinking of killing Michonne had nothing to do w/jealousy or Rick. It's bc she's ambitious & wants to move up & Michonne not only being an A but clearly being an A that won't bend, it jeopardizes her position. She already said "I can't have her bring me down" while making her the responsibility of Rick
Plus Lesley-Ann Brandt has said on her Twitter and in interviews that it’s not jealousy. That Thorne isn’t jealous of Michonne or has a thing for Rick. She said she would not take the role if it was something like that. Not jealous of Michonne. And it’s only platonic between her and Rick.

When Rick says he's gonna kill you, he means it so you have to do something to redeem yourself. So Jadis will either flip Rick's side or die. Also, how was Rick about to get promoted if Beale suspects him. That piece isn't quite making sense to me.

The only other time Rick felt he had to submit is when Negan killed Glenn and Abraham.Then he became afraid just like he is Now he couldn't see it before and it took Michone and Carl to help him see ..then they went to Maggie. Thorn wanted to kill Michone because Michone is an A. She is a leader. They kill leaders.
Fun Fact: The captive bolt weapon used at -( 22:26 )- was the same weapon type used in Fear The Walking Dead: Season 1 Episode 5 during the hospital scene where Daniel's wife passes away.

I threw out a theory after episode 1 when Okafor mentioned the "summit" meeting. Summit was the original title for the show during production. So I assumed it could be important and it's starting to look like it will!
Remember Thorne did say when she got her new position, she was like ‘you didn’t see what I saw, you didn’t hear what I heard’. So something big is going on with the CRM or about to be.

I don’t think Thorne is jealous, the only thing paralleling the Shane scene is the way it literally looks. I think she is really struggling with the power & knowledge she was given, let’s hope they plan things accordingly on this little escape attempt 😂

I had a flashback to Rick convincing the Alexandria crowd that they need to acquiesce to Negan. I remember that Rick, and how disappointed I was no matter that he was right and that he was trying to save them.

At this point Rick doesn't know that Alexandria was attacked and that many people are gone, heads on sticks by those face scalpers. Also Darryl, Negan and Maggie aren't around either. He doesn't know how much things have changed yet. I hope Michonne gets him up to speed with everything soon.

I made a comment here quite a while ago about the etchings on the phone were from a civil republic market stall that had tv’s and electronic devices around it with etchings on it. I posted a picture of it on Reddit recently before the episode aired. I was 💯
It’s either michonne that pushes ricks motivation for escaping or it’s rick seing or hearing ghost shane again in his head with motivating him again to be a non stop fearless badass again . Loved how they did that with ricks last episode of season 9 with ghost Shane talking to him .

Jadis prolly has tons of evidence stored away, wouldnt be surprised if she had journals of everything that happened, with Maps and coordinates.
I’m just going to say this here: I think Genet (from France/Daryl Dixon) will be one of the leaders at the summit meeting. Just imagine! 🤯
There's also so much open at this point that it could really go in any direction. I'm thinking Jadis and/or Thorne get taken out. That some kind of attack or rebellion happens at the Summit with CRM leadership there, and maybe that's where Rick shows his true colors to some extent... but also, maybe he saves Beale or something, while also taking out Thorne/Jadis in some effort to get done what needs to. And maybe that could be the start of convincing Beale that "people are a resource," that maybe the A and B system is flawed.
What was the CRM soldier that took off in Fear? Was it Alie? Was that her note written in the ground? Jadis said Rick and Michonne would be the first to escape but that doesn't seem true. There's a whole reclamation team already.

She had to do similar convincing to fight the Saviors. That was another time that Rick was frightened of what would happen to his people. So, she knows the markers and knows she has to take charge.
Another great episode! I did think of poor Travis that fell out of chopper though from FTW! I like how they are pacing the episodes! Great Show so Far! On a different note though! I am watching Shogun and wow although it is different type of show it is also great! Very different from the original show!
Michone is going to do what she did with Rick in early season 7 find his courage and his leadership again and fight. Also Jadis aka Ann doesn’t know that all the communities went to the common wealth so so even if she did try and and attack them they’d be gone

Another great episode I don’t know how this show can be wrapped up in 3 more episodes! I’m hoping we get at least a S2! The show has been amazing so far, the ending caught me off guard didn’t expect Michonne to throw him out that helicopter. 😅
And i think the fear they found out is probably to do with Daryl shit in Paris with the smart Walkers.

I bet Rick insists they go back, but Michonne won’t have it. And she reveals RJ to Rick… forcing him to decide to fight CRM Reclamation Team(s) and devise a plan to fight CRM overall, get back home. And this is episode where Jadis searches for them. I hope Rick and Michonne end up feeding her to a walker, just like she did to so many people in trading As and Bs to CRM during the early years.
There has to be a season 2. I don’t how they’re going to wrap it up with 3 episodes left But these episodes been amazing anyways.
I want a spinoff: twd what if. Episode 1: what if jadis took carol to crm instead of rick... she makes it to beil's side, burns the place to ash, and is home baking cookies in under a year... 😊😅
The scene of thorne raising her gun has to be a parallel to Shane raising his gun on rick
