Hi! I just want to say thank you for this instruction, so simple but it has helped me a lot in using eye drops, made my life so much easier. Not only the method helps me to eliminate shaking eyes which often made the process more challenging for me, it also has helped me to not wasted the eye drops or having it running down my cheeks. My eye dr. demonstrated and had me tilt my head back as far as it would go, with eyes CLOSED, put eye drops in the corner of my eyes towards nasal cavity and with head still tilted back, open eyes and medicine goes right in. It worked and much better then medicine dripping everywhere.😂

It helps if you rest the applying hand onto the lid lowering hand, rather than 'hovering' the applying hand 'somewhere' over the eye. You can do this in at least a couple of ways: 1. keep the palm of the lid lowering hand facing completely toward the face, and rest the applying hand on the *back* of the lid lowering hand; 2. or, extend one or more finger *from* the lid lowering hand and meet and touch to some fingers extended from the applying hand. And it can also help to sit in a chair or couch with an upholstered back that you can rest your head on the top.
This is a proof that I am not alone on learning this area. Been trying to learn how to apply one today, especially the one that will focus on putting an eye drop at the center. I feel like it needs patience right since this is just another thing that we need to learn about?

I find that touching the eye with the drop helps, I don't touch the eye with the bottle, I wait till the drop is about to come out but what I do is I touch my eye with the drop instead of dropping it in, just in case it doesn't drop into the eye
(1) Don't need to apply eye drop directly into the eyeball? (2) What is the function of eye drop dispenser? What is the advantage of using eye drop dispenser?

Eye drop bottles are designed to fit across bridge of the noise. Set on bridge then tip toward eye. You can also lay on the ground.
impossible to finish a bottle that way! ANY bottle has to be upside down to get every drop out!
