Today in Brotato we take everything to the extreme. 500% Attack Speed was not enough for me and I want to top it, but not just by a little bit, but an insane amount. After trying for over 2 weeks - and a ton of useless recordings of me talking - it finally happened, a run that managed to hit my expectations, well, by getting super lucky.

The last round you should have looked for mini guns! Imagine they shooting with 800% atk speed

@@mikr9375 I mean 0.06 common can you even speak of a cap there. Thats 17 bullets in 1 second :D But actually he should cap it at 0.04, that way with 25 bullets/s it would appear like a constant laser beam
@@janmischa5750 yeah but miniguns base attack rate is already just barely above the cap, so 800% attack speed makes no difference

The triangle will backfire most of the case . Even without blood donation , each round you easily get hit more than 10 times , and just 4 times is enough to make it not worth anymore
I have never understood the triangle. Why make dmg a case and chance reliant thing when I can just increase it reliably steady and constant.
A purple level up is +12% dmg already...a single ethereal axe easily gives you 6-8 times the value of a triangle for loosing 1 armor...
Maybe worth a shot if it said +100% and -5% on dmg taken but especially danger 5 with all the bullets it is impossible to mikro outmanouver everything on screen with skill.
Might be a consider on the ghost character with 90% dodge but pretty much only char where it has value so far.

I think when recording Dex talks about luck it's about the same luck that lets you dodge killing hits regardless of game's dodge%.

Hello Dex! Please watch game Army of Ruin! It was released on October 27 in Early Access on Steam, has nice 3D graphics, looks interesting, but there is no video on CZcams about it. It is made by Ziggurat developers. It seems to me that this is a good game in the spirit of Vampire Survivors.

Im curious as to why you decide to go with Loud for this run. Is it solely due to the increased # of enemies? It seems if you wanted daggers fast the quickest way I've found is to go with the Demon.
More enemys -> more kills with daggers -> more atk speed. The couple enemies you dont kill in the beginning are nothing compared to the amout of enemies/atk spd you get in the later waves
@@nielshellbach3092 sure I get that but if you are playing at lvl 5. that helps mitigate that a bit. Also if you go with the Demon you can usually get a purple and blue flint before rd 2 at minimal cost.
That plus like 100 range would be insane

I recently had a run with the loud, where I got to wave 39 with 1,100% Attack Speed, 1,100% Damage, about 250HP and over 100% Life Steal. It took me about 10 seconds to kill all three bosses in wave 30.

Dex, it kinda breaks my heart that you just delete the failed videos. You are a pretty awesome commentator, and, while I fully understand you not wanting to upload fails, personally, I would still watch them.
Did you do a survey at some point asking if viewers wanted to see all runs or just the successes? If you did, then just ignore me.
Still, great work! Maybe you are secretly saving all the failed videos and one day we will get a megadump of “Dex Gone Wild” where it is just a compilation of every failed run in one video.
The way I view CZcams is that each video is a precious time slot and if I upload one, I want it to be good. That doesnt mean failed runs are bad, but I am still figuring out how similar or different other games perform. E.g. in Vampire Survivors, I would usually keep in failed runs but then cut a lot of the next run until I am back there, but with a game like here skipping e.g. 15 waves is not just the same run but better, but instead its a completely different run usually. The longer a video is, the less likely it is that someone clicks on it. An optimal length for me as a CZcamsr is around 15 minutes, though if you look at the usual length I upload, its closer to 20-50 minutes (yea, wide range, depends on the game). If I skip something I personally deem it as too boring, and I think people would be frustrated to see 50+ runs where I just manually leave because I dont get what I want

I am a very weird consumer of CZcams, typically, I won’t even consider videos under 20 minutes. I prefer 2-4 hour-long videos…although that is typically for video essayist content.
People like you hook me with how much I enjoy watching your videos, so, for you, I have an exception. If you upload even a 5 minute video I will still watch it.
I understand, though, that most people don’t invest themselves deeply into one particular channel or another…they just browse and 15 minutes is a good marker of their cutoff.
All this just to say, I do not want to dictate anything you do, of course! You are awesome and just keep on being awesome!

yeah probably the worst dps item. compare it with glas canon where you can at least compensate the downside. triangle is really bad
Triangle is good in ranged glass cannon builds, where you're hoping to kill everything before it even gets close
@@rytingur yeah but you would have to invest in damage and range for it to work and the downside is you would need lot of damage to clear of enemies before they fire any bullets. if you have that kind of damage, is 20% gonna do any thing anyways ?

On wave 19 you almost did make 3k in a single round. This build hit 2700 on wave 19. Never thought it could get that fast

Don’t combine you ghost flints straight away gets five out of six ghost flints so you have one space left the game will give you more weapons or at least a high chance and when you get 6 out of 6 combine one repeat till you get 6 red
Just a little range, like up to 30 or 40, would have taken this to even greater heights, and you passed +80 range a dozen times

I remember I thought the same while editing, I think either I looked at the wrong number, or my goal was to get it back positive and I rather meant we got a lot of luck to deal with the negative luck. But I don't recall it
Brother why didn't you look at your range it's minus 58 that's the reason why you were getting hit so much you barely had any range
When you take Alien Baby, which says +15 Max HP and -5% Enemy Speed, and you say that it is good because the enemies are faster... Do you know that they are faster for sure? Doesn't it seem like -5% Enemy speed would make them slower?

I think there is more to consider than what you wrote.
For starters, wave 20 is the final wave, meaning Xp gain has 0 value. In other words it's paying 220 Material for 10 Engineering, which is not used at all (no turrets or any form of synergy at this point) to spend 1/5 of my entire material.
Focus is not bad, but when I do a run to achieve the highest number in a stat and already have nutty damage output, then I don't want an item that removes 18% Attack Speed - but worse, it takes over 25% of my remaining material where I may be able to get something better. By better I don't necessarily mean good, but better. There is an argument that you could purchase some red items because they are unique and are taken out of the pool of red offers, but not even that applies here since they are stackable. So yea.
There are not many red items that could have been good at this point, but feeling wise I would have been happier about luck (though I still wouldn't have taken it, just personal preference), but by far the best one would've been Retromation Hoodie for an insane boost in Attack Speed (I think back then it still gave bonus dodge, 10% or so, meaning that's +130%).
