Great video as always Mario your masking looks really neat and tidy, I don't think people realise what goes into masking a car up I know I didn't before I took this up as a hobby there is a lot more to it than sticking some masking tape around the edges, I think this is a skill all of it's own👌🙏👍
Thank you so much for the informative video. Maybe you could make a video about actually how you put the plastic on after you tape thanks again Stay safe
Great video Mario! You're one of the few painters I've seen that talks about cleaning the inside fender lip so the tape will stick. I can't tell you how many times I've witnessed the tape fail during the primer, sealer or painting stages because someone did not clean that surface. Btw, who had the honor of painting the car? Brian or yourself? Thanks for the video.
mario thank you for a lesson on masking its not easy sometimes specially okward places but I injoy masking I think it's a skill and you have to take time and have patience I injoyed this video on masking
Hey Mario! If you’re using the trim tape on a rear hatch window, how long do you suggest waiting before I pull the tape? Do I treat it like masking tape anywhere else on the car or do I wait a little longer since the rubber will press up against the paint?
Great vid mate, i often use the pin stripping tape first on the tight edges, it bends and turns well, and easy to manipulate, how long do you wait before you unmask ??
Can you do a video on how to get the right exact paint color/code for a car, where to get it, types different of quality primer, base, clear coat(brand), and which brand you recommend. The only auto paint store I only know in my area is Sherman Williams.
@@JimmyJiveJones so as long as I give the store the paint code, they would mix the paint for me? And what brand paint you recommend that's quality but not too expensive?
Hey you guys !! Do you have to remove plastic moldings fron doors, windows and top of car when painting or just mask up on top of moldings? Im new n is going to be t first time painting a car😂

Thx Bro great video ✌️
1 tip, if yu use the foam tape, stretch it a bit. So it sticks better and yu use less. But dont pull it too tight. Otherwise the foam gets thinner
Thanks for the tip.

👋 yes treat it the same
my mind is blasted. U work with Brian?
Yea

Thanks busstah great tip. I usually unmasked after I bake it for an hour. Or if I work late leave it overnight and unmasked in the morning
Never I good idea to leave the tape on for days especially if it’s a old car in might peel off the old paint

The Paint code for all vehicles are in all different places for each Manufacturer

Just saw your comment. It’s best to remove all moldings in the way before paint.
