I had a slightly unconventional approach to getting into the art world. Looking back on it, it's easier to see what decisions I made out of fear and also acknowledge the role my ignorance played in giving me the courage myself out there. There are a lot of things i wish i knew and lot of journeys I'm sad I didn't go on but taking a look at where the path i took has lead me, there is nothing but gratitude. I hope this perspective can help with what ever path you find yourself on.

It has been such a delight to watch you grow all these years.
Thank you for giving me multivation everytime when i dont want to draw. Thanks!🙏
I’m enjoying this new interview format. Glad you’re exploring different ways to connect your practice with an audience. Including the “behind the scenes” folks and other artists builds out something more warm, expansive and grounding, despite the subject of your art being so solitary, surreal and cerebral. It is a nice juxtaposition. Thanks Jono and everyone!
Thanks for everything you do. I started drawing live on twitch after discovering your videos whilst initially trying to learn to draw eyeballs. There is always a lesson or a new way to see something with every video. ❤❤
God bless you Jono, you are the gold standard for the generation.
I was just considering to make some pieces to exhibit one day. This video gave some useful insights. Thank you Jono
Very creative , makes you feel start Art Work
Excellent conversation! Great questions from the interviewer also. Love your work Jono, definitely have inspired me.
I cannot thank you enough for this video. So important to share highlights of your journey, very inspiring and helpful ✨
I admire your dedication to your art and love your graphite work so much.
Incredible work done on this video, very informative. I've had the same unfortunate thoughts about art school and seriously limited my creative knowledge during my youth. I also heavily struggle with ADHD, so completing projects is often ridiculously difficult.
love these episodes
Always your favorite ❤
Your art is incredible!
Great talent ❤
Fantastic video, as always inspirational. Your journey is fascinating which, if you have the drive focus and determination you can achieve anything. I started drawing 4 years ago when I retired, sold 1 small drawing by the end of last year, sold 1 in Q1 this year so not yet paying for the paper but getting the work out there and name out there is all important. I’ve started displaying in Bistros, bars etc and entered my first exhibition. Most of my art is using other people’s work as reference so this year I need to move away from that and develop my own original work/style. I could go on but I won’t. Look forward to seeing your next video.👏
Veryvery inspiring
Wow
Amazing ❤❤❤❤
I enjoyed watching this. Keep drawing ✍️ 😎
I really love art by am really finding it difficulty to stay in the art industry because of art equipment😢..otherwise your videos are helping bro❤
Great background story.
Jono. Waiting for more eye drawing videos.
Hmm!...insightful. you're correct about working hard being toxic, thousands of working men in Japan for example succumb to this very mindset!
Liking the beard 👌
He Never fail to entertain us with their content.
Kindly talk about Framing artwork, especially graphite pieces
Who Is The Interviewer and Is He An Artist❔ Bloody Good Topic.Just Have To Create A Workspace As The Apartment Is Small.
the interviewers sleeve is killing me 😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What I still don’t understand is I use the same pencil that you use. I used different kinds of paper. And currently using the best paper I can afford. The paper is 200gsm and has beautiful texture. I used every tip you said. But still I do not manage to get the dark shades as dark as yours. Is it because of camera? Colour grading? Or something else? Please jono I need to know.
Well before he replies 😂
I think he has a video where he mixes the powder with a particular liquid and when done carefully, dries out darker.
Buh that notwithstanding, camera can make works look darker . Peace ✌️
