It is located in the central part of the island's east coast, between the famous beaches of Limnionas and Hiliadou. It is two hours and a quarter from the center of Athens and only an hour from Chalkida.

From here you can watch the #Aegean Sea incessantly while in the background you can see the #Sporades group of #islands.
The beach consists of #gravel, smaller or larger in size and many #sandy #spots.
#Ideal beach for endless hours of #play in the #sea and enjoy everything we call the joy of #summer!
The #river that flows at the edge of the beach and the #ground #springs of #fresh #water from the rocks and #bottom creates a unique #crystal feeling of the sea water with incredible #clarity and visibility.
The eastern orientation bathes #Petali with light from the first # rays early in the morning until 17-18: 00 in the afternoon during the summer months, when the sun hides behind #Dirfi #mountain which stands majestically above the beach.
#Visitors to the beach arrive for a day trip or a #weekend #excursion. In this case, they stay in #tents and sleeping bags.
Favorite activity is the rowing boat and canoe. In an attempt to further explore #landscape.

In the evenings, everyone gathers in the #dining room for #souvlaki, #food, #wine and lots of laughter, and early in the morning for necessary coffee and #breakfast.
Be sure to avoid days when there are high waves and strong winds. Keep in mind that during the last kilometers of the route there is a passable dirt road.
The beach of #Limnionas in central #Evia with its black-and-red stones from the Aegean Sea is located about 50 kilometers east of Chalkida, the island's capital, and the route takes about an hour. The Aegean beach of #Limnionas is bounded by the mountain slopes of a large bay folded into two beaches by a large rock.
The right and greater part of the beach is closer to parking and taverns, while campers are limited to the beach and under the trees. The left and smaller part of the beach with the cave and steep rocks attracts more #campers. The beach has a very interesting seabed with rocks, stones and enough fish so do not forget to bring your mask or your waterproof #camera.
Beach Petali in the heart of Evia is a wild beauty beach with sand and pebbles on the Aegean side! The beach is quite wide and the road to our access is impressive! Petali beach is a very beautiful and picturesque beach. It is located behind Mount Dirfis and is washed by the Aegean Sea. On the beach and at the bottom there are rocks and if you want to enjoy your coffee or your food against the backdrop of the crystal blue water of the Aegean Sea, there is a cafe tavern at Petali beach.

The beach took its name from the small #Byzantine #church by #Panagia Hiliadou - which means thousand - because according to tradition it was the thousand church built by #Empress Theodora
Hiliadou is one of the most famous beaches in Evia. In ancient times, Hiliadou was a base of pirates. Several residents of the surrounding area claim that their ancestors were pirates. Hiliadou is a large and for many reasons beautiful beach on the east side of the central island of Evia and is washed by the endless Aegean Sea. Hiliadou is a very prominent place and managed to be known throughout Greece.
The name Hiliadou comes from the homonymous #chapel (Panagia tis Chiliadou) located near the beach. It is a Byzantine cross-shaped temple. According to one version, Our Lady of Chiliades was the thousandth church built by the Empress Theodora. - Zábava
