Literally telling everyone I know who loves film to watch your videos! Thank you!
I would love to see videos about Darius Khondji, Bruno Delbonel, Claudio Miranda, or Rodrigo Pierto
Darius khondji for sure 😋
Don't forget Steven Soderbergh he should be in that class of Director/DP/Editor in the next Video.
You should do Steve Yedlin
I second that!
That's nasty
Another suggestion for a DP you should make a video about is Dante Spinotti.
I recently watched Heat and The Insider for the first time in ages and was blown away by how visually stunning both those movies are.
Love Morano's images. She's one of the few cinematographers who's digital images FEEL very digital. She doesn't try to approximate a filmic look at all. So all of her work is beautiful for exactly how sharp/ synthetic digital photography can be. Her movie I THINK WE'RE ALONE NOW has some of the most striking digital images I've seen in an American film.
Not like hyper real surveillance footage like a Michael Mann film. Almost like storybook digital filmmaking. She's got a great eye.
I’ve been waiting for this! 😃
Please make a video about cinematography style of Vadim Yusov, it's a russian DOP who has shot some of Tarkovsky's films (Andrei Rublev, Solaris, Ivan's Childhood)
Love this channel, thank you 🤝
Please do a video on Darius Khondji. He is one of my favorite cinematographers.
He's next on my list of videos to make.
@@InDepthCine Sounds good! 👍
What a beautiful video. Again. As always. Thank you, truly. This has become one of my absolute favorite channels, I've learned so much! And now I have to catch up to a bunch of Reed Morano Films...
I really appreciate your work, and your sense of detail! Maybe you could do a in depth video about different film stocks technically/creatively
so glad you did Reed .
Great work
Great video thanks for sharing 😊
Meadowland was mindbendingly good. Had no idea Reed Morano was part of that. Nice breakdown. I've really come to appreciate this channel.
I love the channel. Thank you! My suggestions would be Darius Khondji and Bruno Delbonnel
My favourite channel
You should try making a video about a classic hollywood cinematographer or a New Hollywood cinematographer. That's just because you are approaching this series with mostly current cinematographer and it would be useful to hear about old ways because it could help someone figure a way of applying old techniques with newer tools
Excellent video once again. Could you explain in a future video how a full workflow on set looks like for a movie shot entirely on film in the age of digital cameras? That would be interesting :)
These episodes are too good to be true. THANK YOU!!!!!!
Glad that you find them useful. Thanks for watching!
Great stuff.
Love from India ( Kerala )❤️

your each and every class is so useful and lot of knowledges showering on us...!
Thanks a lot.
a DOP from India
Love from Kerala, India
malayali :)
YES FINALLY!
Love this! Can you do similar ones on Helene Louvart and Sean Price Williams?
Something about Wong Kar Wai, whether it's different budgets or his DP Chris Doyle would be amazing!
Something I’ve noticed is it seems like often male DPs do very adorned and complex camera work whereas female DPs have a much softer naturalistic look. Obvs not always but I have noticed over the years. Another lady cinematographer who’s work I’ve admired is Charlotte Bruus Christensen :) btw, the discord server misses you dearly Gray :P lol, and hope Greg’s ok too, noticed he doesn’t done any videos in a min either!
I know Cuarón is not a full time cinematographer but a video on Roma and the cinematography he did would be very interesting
He did that. It was on how Cuaron shoots his films from 3 different budget levels.
No, im talking specifically on his movie Roma, where he simultaneously Directed and was the DP
This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but he has talked about Roma's cinematography in his video on modern black and white films.
Hey, i like your channel, please consider to discuss the cinematography of the movie Never, Rarely, Sometime, Always (2020). I thought at this movie there are lot of things that can be discussed. Thx
Fine
I am just great fan of you, I am from india and want to discover and entitle the cinematography styles of some Indian cinematographers!!!! Plzz
Great watch, please do Robby Muller or Darius Khondji
Please do an episode on Dan Mindel. He has an impressive résumé including Thelma & Louise, Crimson Tide, GI Jane, Enemy of the State, Star Trek 09, Bourne Identity, Amazing Spider-Man 2 & Rise of Skywalker. 🙂
Dariusz Wolski could also be interesting
Would love to a see an episode on Steve Soderbergh
Where could you find examples of area lighting set ups?
Very informative video. Please do a "Cinematography analysis of Wally Pfister" video.
Is there any platform where we can see your upcoming video ideas, like a schedule for videos you plan to make and what times they might be coming out? I want to get more hyped for your upcoming videos and know what cinematographers to suggest if you aren't making a video on them already.
His paetron page I guess
@@VAZZU I'm not sure if his Patreon says what his upcoming video ideas are though.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not the best when it comes to posting about things on social media but I'll try to keep everyone updated more either through posting on CZcams, Patreon or on Instagram in the future.
Please cover the work of Bruno Delbonnel
Can you please do one of these on David Fincher?
Please make something about Gianfranco Rosi!!!!!
Could you show the cinematography styles of John Toll, Sven Nykvist, Gregg Toland and other great cinematographers not so well-known to common people?
Gray, thanks for the content. Great as usual. Check out Steve Annis, a DP from the UK. A big name in music-video production, recently doing more movies. Keep up your work….
Can you cover Robby Müller!
you be shooting videos like a machine gun lately :DD really appreciate your videos, they are so inspiring, keep it up ;)
Haha. Thanks for watching. I'm taking a break from working on set for the next couple of weeks so I have more time to work on CZcams videos at the moment.
You should do Linus Sandgren and Bill Pope
Ellen Kurras next!
Who else here doesn't skip the ads as a support for this channel?
Ellen Kuras. Nestor Almendros. Gregg Toland.
Anyone else think the thumbnail was Dasha?
Caleb Deschanel Next time please :)
You should cover Zack Snyder
Have you ever ate a pizza roll?
I think more directors should be more experienced in other fields, such as editing and cinematography. Because the point of a director is they have a vision and they usually have to rely on others to help them create that vision (which isn't a bad thing) when they could so easily do some of the work themselves.
