The sound designer is killing it. I love that she says "clang" is the word of the game. The demo really sold that feeling of "using the sword" the director was talking about. I'm so excited to play this! Also, that list of inspirations is ALL BANGERS!

As for me, this is a buy the moment it's out on PC as long as it gets reasonably positive feedback on Steam. I love action games, and hope this will deliver the kind of challenge that the Nioh series did.
I already pre-ordered the game so I'm really excited to play this day one this is a game that I felt pure excitement just to play so it's going to be fun and I think my game of the year I also hope that we do get some type of franchise out of this it would be nice to have like maybe a trilogy of games like this

I played Magna Carta when it was new. And Destiny Child. And Nikke. And I worked with Shuhei Yoshida. I've worked in the industry since the PlayStation 1 days. I can imagine how everyone at Shift Up feels right now, the anxious window between gold and launch. You did an amazing job. Stand tall and know that it was the right choice to never bend the knee to the loud cult of the West. That vocal minority aren't your players, never were, and never will be. The voices of the people who actually play your games are the only ones that matters.

I deeply respect game developers that love and respect the industry they work in. You can tell this studio is making this game for the right reasons, and not just a soulless cash grab of the same garbage being churned out with "live services" and battlepasses. And I doubt you will be hearing about this studio bashing their own fans, or stupidly screaming at the sky at some dev convention like fussy children.
The world is paying attention and watching. Hopefully one day in the future we can point to Stellar Blade as a shifting point to Gamers once again getting respected by developers and the birth of a fantastic new series we can look forward to 😃

Hopefully this will open Korean devs appetite for single player games instead of just creating MMORPGs and mobile games. No one remembers this online stuff after some time while a great single player game leaves your name in gaming history.
