      The thing most people don’t understand about being a personal trainer is it’s 90% mental. Anyone with a few years under their belt can show someone the proper way to use a barbell machine ect, but can you connect and motivate them? Can you come from experience of being broke , skinny and weak , overweight , tried multiple training systems , depression , anxiety low confidence , injury . Those are the people who make the best personal trainers not the guys that are jacked cause they always could afford food and steroids or little bikini girls who had that body their whole lives . Something to keep in mind

    I’m in the same boat. I got into law enforcement and been an officer for 5 years now. It’s stressful most of the times but I can handle the stress, the thing that stops me is that I only did this career because both my parents(my mom now retired) and my older brother are officers and i signed up thinking I didn’t have anything else to do or this was expected of me but now I don’t enjoy work anymore especially in today’s world. The times I am truly happy and get excited is when I know I’m going to the gym in the morning after I get off work, I fell in love with weight training after I got out of high school and to this day it’s still the best thing that I love to do. I want to get out of law enforcement and start a career that I actual love and enjoy🙌

I think it's clear cops of lost alot of support from all the pro law and order people when they chose to harass and arrest Americans over masks or lockdowns instead of remaining true to their duty to the constitution and American people. Dude. Just go for it. Create a plan for the next 5 years once you grt all the certifications you want to obtain. Then just train a general selection of clients a private gym and not a giant corporate branch like planet fitness so you can ACTUALLY make a living. Then as you build a reputation start developing a niche for your brand of people you want to train (mine would be bodybuilding for the average person or someone competing with my own advice as to how they should approach it). Then you can create your own business while working at the gym so you can work at your own pace through online training and some in person training. That’s kinda what my plan is going to be.
      Edit: when I said private gym I mean you get a job there. Just wanted to clarify that.

    • @ajharmiah2692
      @ajharmiah2692 Před 2 lety +2

      Yes as you physically dont need to be there. You might not even do online pt, instead make online customised training and diet plans for your clients, they do thier workout in thier own freetime, and give feedback. You cant charge as much for doing this but you can get multiple clients to make up for it. But one problem i see with only doing online is that there is sooo much free content out there, youtube, google etc, where imo theres no real point in buying online plans.

    It depends how we define a lot of money. The average rate for a trainer by me is around 60 an hour. That's so much money. Of course sessions aren't back to back but if you work 4hrs per day you get 240 dollars. That is like making 30 dollars an hour for an 8hr shift. It's actually better in some ways because if you have your own business you can do it off the books so that isn't even being taxed.
    But it all depends how we define a lot of money. I talked to a guy a few months back and he said he makes 40 an hour, he thinks that is bad money.

    • @genises200
      @genises200 Před rokem

      @@genises200 I think it mostly depends on the person. I live in an expensive area and 40 dollars is ridiculous money but the people who make it don't seem to think so. By me minimum wage is 15. People live luxury lifestyles, way beyond their means. I went to the doctor many many years ago and he told me he is struggling to get by. He has his own business. People can not manage their money correctly. I hear people making 200k and over a year complaining how bad it is. I would love to sit these guys down and see where the hell their money is going. I need financial reports. I have my finances down. I know where all my money is going. You would be shocked how much money gets lost if you do not manage it. I've been in sales 5 years. Got into fitness hardcore the past 2 years. This all sounds so silly to me. Personal training is essentially sales. The time poor time management they're complaining about is their problem. There is no issue asking customers to respect your time as much you will respect theirs. If u cant do that, you simply don't have enough customers and need to market/prospect better. These guys found success through circumstance. Don't expect to watch this video and then go make a living for yourself doing personal training.
