Steve is a top notch lead and rhythm guitarist, who is just as great live, as he is in the studio! I had seen him with Mr, Mister live, in 1987. Mr. Mister was so tight, that they were better than Heart, which they opened for! I loved the band! Steve Farris made that band smokin' hot musically! It would be great seeing them do a reunion tour!

First interview I've ever watched of a guitar player I've admired since buying ''WTTRW'' back in 1986. I had no idea his musical CV was so extensive. A clever, funny and fascinating Cat. Was a little anxious when you introduced him as a Hunter! Didn't expect him to be such a colourful character and sounds like music's loss is the US wetlife's gain. Another great interview Mr. Thanks for putting this out.

Steve has achieved a high level of success with the guitar and it is great to see he is doing the same with other passions. The guitar was the vehicle to allow him to follow his true calling. *I absolutely love this interview, and I'll forever be a Steve Farris fan. There's a lot here that is incredibly intriguing to me, that's well outside of music, that I never knew till this interview. That's an absolutely beautiful home/lodge. Talk about a different time in the music biz! Him, and Dann Huff, are criminally unrecognized. But, of all of his work, the Creatures of the Night lead as killer as it was, I don't get, to this day, as far as the hype goes (at least not for the standard SF has set for himself).* Maybe it's almost entirely due to the Kiss brand, itself (and that was a good KISS album, as well).* It's a great lead, on a good Kiss song, but people are making it out to be the second coming. I think SF himself is scratching his head a little with it. Not saying it isn't a great lead, I'm simple saying the hype for such a short part is a little odd to me, because it doesn't really represent the best of SF's body of work, which is stunning. It almost makes me wonder what-else was played by Steve prior to that take, on that session.

This such a good revealing interview, it gives us answers about the man, & us Mr. Mister fans we didn't know about so in depth so cool. He doesn't appear to hate his former bandmates, & that's pleasant to know. I do find it interesting he doesn't play anymore, but he has another passion, & god bless him for that. He's not Pompous as Dennis DeYoung, I didn't care for his for his interview, very into himself, dissappointed. Love his talent songwriting, singing & performances, but personality no. I get why Styx will never Reunite. So Steve Thank You, us music fans have missed you a lot. Well-managed interview from Craig Garber: interesting questions & answers while allowing Steve to respond without interruption or unnecessary comments.
However, as a musician myself who adored Mr. Mister back in he day (saw them in concert 3 times in 86 & 87:
    @ The Palace/Hollywood &
    @ The Greek Theater/Los Angeles),
and as much as I admire Farris' artistry & technical prowess as a guitarist, I can't get on board with him on the hunting. Yeah, ... I know ... it's part of Nebraska's "heritage" & geographical nature, (& probably a good skill to have if faced with a "forage for survival" scenario), ... but hunting for survival & hunting for the "joy of sport" (i.e., luring/fooling an innocent duck with a whistle just so you can kill it) are two different things - opposing mindsets. When Farris says he "LOVES" nature & wildlife yet is willing to destroy it for the sake of sport - AND build a business around it - what he's really saying is he "loves the freedom to kill animals" - (which is nothing more than misplaced anger, aggression, & depression if you ask me). If he REALLY LOVED animals & wildlife, he'd turn his land into an animal SANCTUARY to shelter & rehabilitate injured, abandoned, sick, or endangered animals instead of killing them. Yes, ... my comments may be candid, but I felt too strongly about it to keep silent - I'd rather be a voice FOR animals to state their case.
Now I know what Farris meant when he referred to his guitar as a "weapon" in previous videos ... yeah ... he "kills" it musically, but does so litterally when it comes to animals. 🤨😠
