Floor and Henk meeting each other probably is the greatest thing that happened thanks to Beste Zangers (and I'm taking about the entire history of the program, not only the 2019 edition). Two amazing singers with great chemistry and a true admiration for each other, influencing each other, pushing each other to new highs...
It was indeed like faith. I think henk has also found a passion bound. An now released into the public.

It was one of my best decisions to crowdfund this project. This was an epic performance from Floor, Henk and the band. Sweet Curse is a gem and Revamp has so many more.

These two are a match made in heaven and I admire Henk Poort for trying something so new at his age (he was born in 1956). He normally is an opera and musical singer and it seems to me that he has so much fun with testing new fields of music.
I would never have imagined, that here in my house which is in the Amazon rainforest, Brazil, I would be listening to a Dutch opera singer. Thank you Floor Jansen for bringing me Henk's amazing voice

Henk's rock voice is so impressive, when you realize his training and career has been entirely opera/operette/musical!
It really is. I think it's the natural "theatricality" in his interpretation that adds so much. He's an incredible singer, that's for sure.

Your comment made me think of what Henk says a lot - good music is good music. Henk´s appreciation and openness to other genres, even though he has focused on opera/musical type singing, has obviously been of great benefit when putting himself in the shoes of a rock singer. This was very impressive on his part.
Of course, he can sing both classical and modern. Every crossover singer does. Because musicals combine classical and modern singing. Floor and Henk are no exception when it comes to versatility in singing.
I love that this was included. ReVamp deserves more love from the peeps that it seems to get. There is a LOT more Floor pre Nightwish (than with) and people need to hear it.

I never understood why this song wasn't a bigger hit, the lyrics are so good. Happy to hear this new version, it's amazing and you always rock, whether it's with Russel or Henk (I was there for both Bibelot and AFAS).Hopefully now Sweet Curse will get the attention it deserves.
Absolutely! It's a great song and demonstrates how good a songwriter Floor is. It promises much for the solo album she's working on.

This is fantastic. Henk's metal/rock voice is getting better all the time, what a career he has had. He and Floor's chemistry is palpable, I hope there is more to come.

When Nightwish announced the replacement of Tarja I literally said "why they didn't call Floor Jansen?!". Nightwish is my favorite band and Floor my favorite vocalist even before she was with them 💖✨. I'm still happy about the fact they actually called her 😊✨.

Well, could do some of Marko's singing parts, but definitely not all of them.
@@Nikioko Technically Henk can easily do all of them. The only thing is that he has a different voice, which may not give the same effect as Marco's voice gave.
And who knows a different sound could work.
@@rientsdijkstra4266 Some techniques Marko used are not recommendable as they are not very healthy for your vocal cords.

@@ShurikB93 No, afaik this song, as well as most songs from the first Revamp album, reflects happenings back in her late After Forever days.
Was, not is. She was in a different place mentally when she wrote a lot of the ReVamp stuff. She has said herself that quite a few of those things from those days should just stay on the past. I agree with her on that. That said, there's also some gems that are worth keeping and maybe are worth to 'shine' from time to time. (Like this one)
I think Henk working with Floor has expanded his abilities as much as the reverse. He's absorbing the rock/metal/opera mix/vibe amazingly well. So happy for both of those off the chart vocalists. Love them both!

I´m loving these solo performances so much. If a Dvd/Bluray ever comes out I would also love to have a physical copy. There are some things in life where you can sit down and immerse yourself completely and one of those things is watching Floor perform. Such a sacred and special thing. Complete happiness :)

I'd definitely be up for a BluRay version. One day, I'd love to see the real thing in the UK. I've tickets for Nightwish but really would like a great 'Floor' show in a theatre.
@@Drinckx2 unfortunately, Wembley seems to be the preferred venue, which is a shame as last time I went (first time in a chair) it was actively disability hostile to the point of being dangerous. Wembley won't see a penny from me until they get their wheelchair provision up to a level worth using. It took me a full week to recover from the battering of that one trip, and the only provision is in the least desirable place possible - I guess they used it for wheelchairs as they couldn't sell tickets to able-bodied patrons there.
I would fly or drive across to anywhere in Europe rather than suffer their abuse again.

How wonderful on so many levels. A beautiful Floor Jansen/ReVamp song demonstrating a wonderful combination of melody and powerful lyrics; beautifully sung by both Floor and Henk; great playing etc. I’ve seen various fancam versions from these gigs, so it’s marvellous to get the real thing. Henk really giving Russell Allen a run for his money!

Thanks for the upload, this is something to which I would not have access otherwise. I love the music that you have given to us in recent months as well as your other work in Nightwish and before. Not being a musician myself I could only guess how lucky Henk must feel to have found a completely new way to express his artistry after an already decades long sucessful career, and all that thanks to meeeting you in Beste Zangers. Before Beste Zangers I hadn't heard anything about him, as he he his virtually unknown in Germany where I live, but now at least metal fans in Germany know about him and what he does.

His voice works very well with hers and when she gets into the angelic modus it's almost impossible your body doesn't react in some way.

Henk truly shines when he hits that upper register. So much WOW. I thrive in my upper registers too. I find that the higher registers (and low at times!) can really show the uniqueness of a voice :)

This is a true masterpiece! Floor is a goddess with her voice and beauty. Henk has powerful vocals and amazing acting with John Locke vibes from Lost. Combined with great lyrics and symphonic strings score always gives me goosebumps. Has become another classic just like the Phantom of the Opera ❤️
