Is there a simpler way to ask internal audit questions when auditing section by section? I took over the internal auditing for my company which is a small business manufacturer. The person I took over for has been asking each question from the 9001:2015 standard line by line. But my boss/CEO thinks that it's too repetitive. I am new to this and still need to get my lead auditor certification. I currently have an audit of section 9 approaching; any help would be great. I have been watching your videos for almost a year now, and they have been of great help.

Hi Chris. Apologies for the late response. Yes there is a MUCH better way to ask your questions for internal audits than just following the standard and clauses. Your questioning should follow the process rather than the standard. For ISO 9001, I would start off by asking how do you know what the customers want? This might be through an order received by phone, email or website form. Then you follow that order through to completion, including feedback at the end. By following the process, you are picking up each step as you go and then in your head you are matching this back to the Standard and relevant clauses. Does that make more sense? I'm happy to do up a quick video to show you and share the link if that helps.
