There needs to be a good margin as you've put in a lot of time and effort and who knows what condition mechanically the car was in only having it a week. There's a liability there that needs to be covered.

I'm not a natural but the more you put in, the more you get out & a bit of practice goes a long way. I saved on paint by asking everyone that I knew if they had bits left over, I wasn't bothered about the color it was the experience I needed & it turned out not bad, I don't know why I was so nervous about it. Actually one thing struck me: In my world (I used to live in Russia) people stay away from repainted cars. It's the clearest sign of a big accident. They just check the whole car body with a thickness gauge and if it's shows signs of repaint, they just move on to another car. So most people just leave the scratches unless they start to rust badly.

First thing I noticed was when you raised the hood , the four ring Audi logo / badge on the engine cover was missing . The reason I noticed this was because the one on my Audi Avant disappeared at one of two places while work was being done on it . It had been forced off as two of the four retaining studs were broken . Why ? Well , when I went to get one off ebay they were four times the price of the larger ones on the front and rear of the car . Not really important but it's good to watch out for those small items that are broken or not working that could be expensive especially on a cheap car . Great job ! Loved your VW camper video as well .Will watch the rest .

When doing wet sanding on curved panels, I like using a kitchen sponge as a sanding block. It will follow the curves but prevent uneven sanding from your knuckles and such.

An honest, hard working man. I'd be very happy to pay for the time and effort he took to check the car over and make it look fantastic. I'd happily buy a car from him and feel I got a decent looking used car at a fair price.

Great informative video, I've flipped a few cars in the past and the most annoying thing is the amount of cheeky hagglers that message/call you. I'd imagine that telling them to 'feck off' in your accent would be very satisfying! Love your vids, especially the VW transporter conversions.

You made this look so easy.i had a bit of spare cash a while back and decided to buy and sell cars.it was a disaster. 1 of the cars put me over £1000 out of pocket 🤦‍♀️

I think more people should do this. I personally buy and restore anywhere from 3-6 cars a year, doing almost the exact same thing you do. I spend around 2-3 weeks (mostly on weekends) fixing any bodywork damage and making the interior looking like new again, then selling each one for a profit of around £750. It is a very easy way of making an extra £2,000 - £4,000 per year.

Good video. Difficult to make money buying and selling cars of this vintage as the buyers in this market are not prepared to spend much on a 15 year old car that costs a lot to tax.

I love this and i'm amazed for the prices... i'm a mechanic and brake pads 24$ god i wish.. in portugal its so expensive to do revisions and and A4 for 600$ gooooooooood for that price we get the interior or less.. it's ridiculous.
    Great work mate. Nicely done.

Hi yes, so the government have higher annual tax on older cars so they can be bought cheap if you look hard 👍
