  • After the foot issues, we decided to switch things up a little while we're in Florida. We had quite the adventure paddling down Rock Springs Run to Wekiwa Island from King’s Landing! It was a ~10 mile paddle, which included Emerald Run since we arrived early enough and were shuttled back to where we started in the end.
If anyone is interested, we did the shuttle run and booked through www.kingslandi....

Ha! We just did this and there was so much overgrowth it actually looked like there had been nobody through there in yrs! 🤦🏼‍♂️🤣 THAT was a bit terrifying. But we knew we had to keep going. About 10 minutes of paddling through grass a weeds we stirred up a 12-14 ft gator! It was sooo terrifying we jumped it through and passed the first campground lol
Ended up stopping at Otters way or whatever it was called. Trees have fallen and it wasn’t as nice as what you experienced.
Anyways, thanx for sharing! God Bless

Oh no - that is too bad that the overgrowth has formed. I might hold off on my kayak trip down there until it clears up somehow. Thanks for posting and letting us know.

@@edtravelbug to be honest, there was only about a quarter-mile that was really bad with overgrowth. In the overgrowth was just the weeds. But what made that a little scary for my wife was the fact that we came off on multiple gators that were 8 foot plus. When you go down for your trip make sure you follow the map they give you as the first place to take a break is really hard to see. Other than that it was a great day. Definitely do emeralds cut! It’s amazing 💯
