Just a note while listening to this charming opera seria. I've long known of Giovanni Paisiello as merely a footnote in biographies of Mozart and Rossini. He deserves much better than that, and thank you Shawn Melon and CZcams for making his music readily available for the opera and classical music loving public.

Una splendida esecuzione voci eccellenti anche, se a mio parere, la protagonista parmi essere più mezzo soprano, ma comunque eccezionale. Anche l'orchestrazione e la concertazione sono ammirabili.

Bellissima opera una delle più belle del grande Paisiello. Sarebbe bene che se ne approntasse una esecuzione con criteri più aggiornati.... ma con voci altrettanto brave. Forse è troppo!!!
