Typo’s:
Galactose-1-Phosphate Uridyltransferase
Galactose-1-Phosphate
(Drop the galactoKINASE typo)
DirtyUSMLE thank you so much for your videos ... love them
My deep appreciation for the wonderful efforts.
My exam after 2 days any advices???
@@MohamedAli-bk6vk howd it go?
This was amazing, thank you so much!
Thanks. Great video. Concise and clean.
You are an amazing teacher. Thank you for helping so much!. It is a beautiful Medicine.
Just love your videos so much!! It give me confidence and motivation to keep studying biochemistry ❤️🔥
Clear clear clear , I have finished with my lectures notes, and with those videos biochemistry will be more easier for me , thank you very much
Im struggling in Biochem..😭.This is a life saver. Had to look for so many videos to finally find someone who makes this make sense. You guys are gifted teachers!! God bless you!!!
I have a test tomorrow and I have been searching for videos that will make everything make sense and I just did 😂😂💃💃
You are the best, your videos are really helpful
A little mistake, if I may. In galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase, the galactokinase enzyme is actually active and functioning normally leading to accumulation of galactodse-1-phosphate in the hepatocytes leading to hepatomegaly.
I was thinking same
A remarkable tutor ....not a dirty medicine it is awesome and beautiful medicine 💊 😍 ✨ 💕 ❤
You the real hero!
It is the best video in biochemistry I have ever seen .... well done 😍💛💚
Could you please make a video about HEME ? Thanks !! Your videos are amazing! And the way you explain things are unique!
I would like to make request if you could make some videos on microbiology also ... it’s quite difficult to remember all those organisms
use sketchy micro
.
just wow, great video
Love love loveee this video thank you sm
Thank you soo much
Great 👍
I love your videos 🎃🎃
Thank u so much
Just a quick correction: Galactokinase creates GALACTOSE-1-phosphate, not galactokinase-1-phosphate. You have this right in the diagram, but incorrect in the slide showing the presentation of galactokinase deficiency. The next enzyme is also called galactose-1-phosphate uridyltransferase (GALT), NOT galactoKINASE-1-phosphate uridyltransferase.
Yup these are typos
What product is formed as a result of methylation of galactose?
I love this guy
Thanks!
is there rate-limiting enzyme for galactose metabolism?
What is the role of lactose in biology? Why doesn't milk contain straight glucose that already exists in the blood and doesn't have to go through these steps and risks?
Incredible
suuuperb !!!
The milk u are talking about is cow milk or human milk?
Hello, can you please help me understand how adults with galactosemia are more tolerant when taking galactose-containing products? :(
would only make sense if they had a lactase deficiency/lactose intolerance, not due to insufficient galactose kinase or G1P-uridyltransferase.
Can't you get lactose intolerance post-Giardia?
How does galactosemia cause diarrhea?i mean what is the mechanism? Isn't Galactose normally absorbed into the blood circulation so this rules out the osmotic diarrhoea?
thnx ❤❤❤❤
what is NVD after milk? @10.08
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
Classic Galactosemia is more severe because PO4 3- is depleted.
First, thank you for your efforts but I still don't get why Classic Galactosemia is more severe. 😬 How is the accumulated volume more than the case with Galactokinase def. ?
Becase phosphorylated molecules trapped inside the cells... therefore body phosphate levels go down(energy depletion, affects other metabolic pathways due lack of free phosphates) as well as galactose-1-phosphate accumulate in liver causing hepatomegaly which could cause liver dysfunction later on...
Shera Wijesinha Thank you!!!
I have this, in case you wanna know how terrible things will get once you hit 50
❤❤❤
