I never expected you to play this! You are 100% right that this game wants you to break it, wants you to climb everything. And I hope people walk away from the video realizing that all this is intentional and that it isn’t just some broken indie game. It’s actually a fairly cleverly designed game. Yeah I absolutely love how the game gave the player a full world to explore, and then let you explore it in any way you wanted (even climbing up the invisible walls). Fantastic stuff.

Babdi Knew what it was doing. It knew all the objects were too powerful and so only limited you to one at a time.
I haven't tried other items but I managed to get the flashly and the motorbike at the same time.
you can get multiple at once with a really simmple glitch. when youre holding an item, pause while looking at another one and press the button to grab it ! then unpause and you should have 2 at once.

one of our favorite bugs in this game is that if you get on the train while playing a note on the horn, it plays a little toot at the end of the credits before booting you to the menu. made us laugh so hard when it happened

I love how simple the games concept is,go to train station go back get ticket go on train but the items make it so much longer and better
babbdi seems like an unironically cool artistic experience
been playing since it came out, this vid kind of gives a bad impression on the game. watch some other vids or play for yourself it gives off a way more creepy eerie type vibe

Dang, This game is like one of those bizarre dreams you can have where physics don't exist but it's oh so entertaining.
The one game I thought was unbreakable was Amanda the Adveturer and Bendy and the Ink Machine but he still breaks it! It’s like when a game sees backseat, the game’s like, “ Ok this man has got to break the game, in anyway, shape of form!”
When Jacob geller can wax poetic about the same game that backseat can turn into his personal playground, I know it’s gonna be a real keeper.

My friend, who used to speedrun babbdi, got me to play this game and I loved it. Happy to see you play it 😊! Also, you can dual wield items if you use a glitch and if used on the 2 propellers you can get a lot of speed

if you like this "playground" sort of game, I would recommend the Sludge Life games. Also, Goat Simulator is an old and *violently* buggy example of this kind of intended-breakage game.

I love this because it's absurd, it's intentionally made to be broken, and it admits it's not quality in appearance nor function, but what it doesn't have makes up for what it does.

When I first played the game forever ago I remember the first thing I did was fall out a window, find the pickaxe, and climbed everything I possibly could.
I am 60 seconds into the video and my only thought is "Oh lawdy. We gonna have fun with this one boys."

the coolest part about this game is that everything you see actually exists. there's almost no invisible walls stopping you from going to see something interesting and i just think that's really neat :)

Hell yes BABBDI! Found the game randomly on Steam and actually loved it till the end. Finding little secret areas, NPCs and items is fun all the way through!

You can actually break this game even further. If you pick up an item while facing downwards at a certain angle, you don't drop the item you're holding, allowing you to hold multiple items at the same time. And yes, the items still work, and yes, you can keep stacking more and more of them, until you're holding 4 propellers and one click of the mouse sends you flying to the other end of the map.
Babbdi was a really cool game for me. Very atmospheric for sure, and fun controls as was shown in the video lol

Funny thing… you CAN glitch outside of the barrier. My brother did it and went to the boat. There are some neat secrets in there

There is an easy way to hold two objects at once
just pick an object, look at another object you want to pick. open the menu by pressing "tab" and pick an object.
Voila, you now carry two objects at once.
The same procedure can be initiated endlessly.
When you restart the game, all objects in your hand are saved, and new ones are created in their spawn points, meaning you can carry an infinite amount of objects in one go

I spent an entire session 100%ing the game, and it was an absolute blast, I had it on my wishlist to play for a while but never got around to it until now, my first completion was just exploring everything which was 8338 seconds, and my second was the speedrun at 198 seconds (i hadn't realized that you respawned with the item you hold since i wasn't holding anything at the end of my first run, so I set up a route to go from bat -> leafblower -> windmill)
if we assume the big tall wall is south and the dam is north, there is an entire missing invisible wall on the northeast
This is a totally normal game, with a totally normal story. The tools in the game are not broken, they are completely balanced and functional.
Babbdi is so much fun, especially after you climb up the wall, and get the fan, it's so satisfying to fly across the map! xD
