Why are you shy of the title and blanking it out? This title was never an issue when it was released. It's just an octopus plus y. Seriously. We're not living in the 1984 novel or a puritanical religious cult. Just say Octopussy and be done with it. Prudishness is unbecoming.

I would invite you to learn about the enforcement of CZcams's language policy on creators.
CZcams's language policy has increased in strictness recently. Without muting & blurring the title, my video was flagged "inappropriate" numerous times, as it is bots that scan for language & they do not consider context, nor do they enforce the rules the same way for every channel. I have had several videos restricted & removed recently. I dont make the rules. I have no problem with the word or swearing & do so in the full lengths on Patreon. I wish there was a little more understanding of the guidelines we have to follow.
FYI as well, your own comment was flagged "offensive" because you used the word & I had to manually approve it.

Early on Albert didn't want to reuse anyone killed in a film and for most of Sean's they held to it. Later they would reuse extras and a few key actors that filled a role perfectly, Maud having two lead roles was indeed rare. W. Gobel was another major exception. First as a Spector trainer in Russia with Love then later as M's Russian counterpart.

Just regarding the character of Penelope Smallbone: at this point, Lois Maxwell (the actress playing Moneypenny) was visibly aging to the point that makeup couldn't hide it anymore, so they brought in a new character intended to be her replacement. Moneypenny would retire in-universe, and Penelope would be Bond's new target of flirtation... but in the end nobody really cared about Penelope, everyone still liked Moneypenny, so they kept her around for one more movie before doing a recast of her AND Bond for the first Dalton film, 'The Living Daylights' (which acted as a semi-reboot to the franchise).

Someone else who knows better please chime in, 'cuz the memory's going.
John Barry had a bit of a dispute with the Bond producers back in '65 on "Thunderball" when they insisted that the name of the movie be in the title song. He had written a tune called "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" as his proposed title tune (Dionne Warwick covered it - it's kinda fun) and the theme is all over his score for the movie but the producers said NO, the song had to be called "Thunderball" which made Barry roll his eyes, but they were paying so he knocked off the song that appears in the movie very quickly and made a bit of a thing out of having poor Tom Jones sing "Thunnnnnnnn-deeeeerrrrr-BAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL" at the end, just to make the point that it was ridiculous. But nobody minded but him, so happy ending.
Flash forward seventeen or eighteen years to "Octopussy" when the producers had the same request and Barry said, 'HELL NO will I write a song called "Octopussy" and surely the censors will back me on this?' Turns out there were 'concerns' about whether the title song would get any radio air play with a title like "Octopussy" so Barry was allowed to not have "Octopussy" in the song lyrics. "All Time High" did rather well when it was new. Only song of this era that did better was "For Your Eyes Only" which was nominated for an Oscar, if memory serves.
Bond songs are tricky. In a few movies the composers wouldn't be contributing to the title songs, which I think was unfortunate. There's something cool about hearing the title song woven into the score but maybe I think that 'cuz I'm old.
Sidebar - when Elmer Bernstein was given the job of composing the score for the John Wayne version of "True Grit" he was also asked to come up with a hit title song. "Sorry, are you asking me to write a catchy pop song with the title 'True Grit'? Seriously??" He said years later that he and his lyricist spent a hysterical afternoon coming up with unprintable rhymes for "True Grit" (how many awesome, inspiring-sounding words rhyme with 'grit'?) before they got seriously down to work - the song they came up with was also Oscar nominated that year, which probably doesn't prove anything much. So yeah, lyrics are tough.

Louis Jourdan, who plays Kamal Khan, among his many films was in a couple of musicals you'd enjoy: _Gigi_ (1958) starring Jourdan, Leslie Caron, Maurice Chevalier, and Hermione Gingold, with songs by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, directed by Vincent Minelli; _On a Clear Day You Can See Forever_ (1970) starring Barbra Streisand and Jourdan, with songs by Lerner and Burton Lane, directed by Vincent Minelli.

"Coolest exit ever!" AGREED. That's exactly how a sexy lady should slip away from Bond -- when he secretly WANTS her to slip away so that he can track her. When Ian Fleming wrote the original novel, the villain just happened to own an octopus which he referred to as Octopussy -- and that was it, that was all that meant. I like how the usually quick-witted Bond dares not make any comment at all when she identifies her tattoo. Karmal Khan is more or less "the" villain, but for me it's all about General Orlov. I love how he says "Czecho-slo-VAKK-ia" during his master plan for conquering Europe. Bizarre coincidence: the plot of this movie is very close to that of another movie, The Fourth Protocol, starring Michael Caine, with Pierce Brosnan as a Russian villain. You may enjoy checking that out sometime, as a kind of accidental parallel version of this adventure. And thank you for giving props to Kristina Wayborn as Magda!

Nice jumper. I wonder if you'd like some of the other films Moore did around the time of his Bond fame - The Wild Geese - an action film with Roger Moore, Richard Burton and Richard Harris? A team of hell-raising mercenaries on a mission in Africa. North Sea Hijack - where Moore is in conflict with Norman Bates, (er I mean Anthony Perkins) and prefers cats to people. The Sea Wolves - a WW2 mission film also starring Gregory Peck and David Niven.

The opening sequence on the South American airfield was filmed (mostly) on the airfield RAF Northolt, which has already appeared in Bond as the airfield gates in 'Thunderball'.
It's in the middle of Western London suburbs, a bit North of London Airport at Heathrow. It's where the Queen's coffin arrived in London before her funeral.
The hangar blown up was a model, and the long shots of that small jet plane were shot in the USA for the background of the mountains, but whenever you see the tiny jet at low-level and flying through the hangar, it was actually on a pole on the back of a Jaguar car, with it's roof cut off. It's sometimes visible if you slow the sequence down.
The shot from Bond's POV approaching the hangar shows the whole of the town of Ruislip, North London on the left side of the frame, many semi-detached houses and all.

What a great Breakfast treat!!! Watching Thursday morning!
Enjoyed this version....Bond movies were lightened up with a little bit of silliness by Moore. In the following years, people started calling for a more serious Bond movie as Moore did his last movie as Bond.
Example in this movie is 007 telling the tiger to SIT!...loved it but it added a slight bit of ***roll your eyes at the Dad joke***
"Ohhh...that's my little octopussy" (male laughter as I shake my head in disbelief while giggling)
Ive had the same moustache like 007's for 40 years! Some girls loved it, some hated it..

"SIT !" Training Dogs The Woodhouse Way (BBC 1980)
    Tarzan yodel (RKO 1932 onwards)
"Are You With Our Group" " No Mam I'm With The Economy Tour!" which spoofs a long running Woolwich Building Society TV ad where (after a set-up) the punchline was always
"No (Sir/Ma'am) We're With The Woolwich!"

    Interesting fact:
Bond doesn’t use his standard iconic Walther PPK here, but a Walther P5. Bond mentions how it’s just him misplacing his PPK, but it was an attempt by the German gun manufacturer Walther to promote the weapon, as it was currently trying to market it to German police departments.

A View To A Kill next. The last of the Moore era. By this point, the running gag amongst the critics of the day was the stuntmen probably had more screen time than him. What really caused him to call time on playing Bond was when he saw Tanya Roberts (his last Bond girl) and realised he was old enough to be her dad.

    Jen: "Is he the villain?"
Me to the computer screen: "You saw Beverly Hills Cop. He was Victor Maitland. Art is even involved here too. Of COURSE he's the villain!" 😀
    Poor BJ. Supersadface.
Yeah, the 80s were much less stranglingly uptight than this century. Amusingly, few people gave a crap cos they generally thought it was amusing and since it was a Bond movie title it just made sense that it might have an element of the risque to it. 😛
Maud Adams (gonna say actress name instead of character name, for obvious reasons) was awesome in this one along with her team of ladies. I loved them and all they could do.
And super happy for Q to get in on the action and to be adored by the young ladies.
