- How should men prepare for fatherhood? One organization seems to have the answers. Welcome to Boot Camp for New Dads, where men learn how to own their new role as fathers. Here, soon-to-be dads get a crash course in everything from changing diapers to feeding and burping. Veteran dads serve as guides to rookies, and discuss the hopes and concerns that come along with becoming a parent. The class provides the support that many new dads don’t normally receive, and helps men take the first step into fatherhood with confidence and ease.

There is so many courses for women, but not enough for men thank you for making this a more relevant subject.
That's because men are toxic and women can do anything she puts her mind too
@@darealberrygarcia Please tell me you're joking, just please.
Blaine Charlie obviously
... There aren't enough courses for women either, it's just that someone places have the population density and capital to extend training (that leads to better (health, education...) outcomes to fathers (were family support eroded throughout the last century)).
🤗
Is this where Dad jokes are learnt too?
I can't say for certain, but probably.

@@ejpadilla4238 I mean that only real men can judge themselves about "not being ready" as a parent and search for help
Becoming a parent is so terrifying and there's often nobody to help you. This is such a great idea! Especially for men who are never considered having a parenting instinct and for whose love and vulnerability is a taboo.
"Oh... Didnt reliturd homophobes say mother n father is only natural? How come these men doesnt have parental instinct?! Gasp*"
Hahas. This is indeed a great idea. New diss/sacarsm idea for reliturd homophobes.
I hardly believe it's that hard or terrifying because the world is highly populated
growing up without a dad, watching this makes me really emotional
This is probably the reason such a class exists, because more and more men grow up without fathers.
I’m the best father. I’m the father of a nation
Thanks Daddy
And a helluva golfer
you are everywhere XD
Still building nukes?
Kim Jong-un is he going to ride your nukes when he's 5
Would be better if this was uploaded on Father’s Day
That's months away lol
Everyday is father's day! 😄
Three questions I ask myself when watching this:
1. Why do all the babies and at least 1/4 of the men in this have copper colored hair?
2. Where was this filmed, where can I find the group, and where are there other groups like it?
3. What does the company "New York Life" have to do with this?
You can find local Boot Camp for New Dads workshops at www.bootcampfornewdads.org , click "Find"
maybe the area has a large population of gingers
I attended this type of boot camp in Atlanta. It has Chinese, Indian, Filipino, Black and White to be dads. All types basically. We had very young dads and almost middle aged dads too. It was the best thing I did for preparing myself to be a dad really. If you are in Atlanta, look up Northside hospital daddy boot camp.
What a wonderful program. I am so impressed.
"Oh yeah, that's my dad's dad school"
I expect that to happen in the future
This is quality content 👍🏻
Dad of all dads: Today dads, we are going to learn Year 6 Lesson 8! Dad Jokes!
Lol, is it just me, or does this look more like a support group for dads with ginger babies? XD
I was drunk when I first saw the thumbnail and thought it's Conan.
This is actually adorable hahaha. Dedicated dads make me very happy
Those babies are SO CUTE!
ALL Y'ALL MAKE THE ANGELS SING! THANK YOU FOR J7ST BEING YOU!🤗
Be emotionally available to your child. Show affection.
When I’m older and pregnant, I’m gonna send my husband to one of these daddy boot camps.
0:24 I am not the only one that tried to grab that baby 😐😂. being a parent is really scary but you will love every bit of it ❤❤
Wow, its like a ginger convention! Cute babies. Keep the good work dads of the world.
On the job training for the win. Roll with the punches gentlemen, and forget about sleep.
What a great resource! This is so awesome!

I can confirm this video, my dads been gone forever at dad boot camp or atleast that's what my mom tells me
2:21 "what a second! I...I'm doing this!"
Isn‘t it crazy that we humans are so intelligent, but still we would fail to raise our own offspring without someone teaching us
even geniuses still need to be taught the basics.
The point is that these soon-to-be dads would find out how to care about their baby anyway. It's better to be prepared. They trust themselves after the camp more. They shrinked the space for future errors. They shared their insecurities with other fathers. It's so important.
Isn’t it crazy that most of our intelligence is taught by other ppl or past experiences??? ;)
Not really that crazy. Humans are social beings and we learn most things from being taught. Besides you can't really learn from your mistakes having a child, better be safe than sorry.
Woah okay listen up y‘all no need to be so crusty in the comments. What I meant is that we are on top of the food chain and we are animals, but we are so far away from our animalistic instincts, that we can‘t even do the most natural tasks without guidance. I‘m not saying you shouldn‘t be informed about having kids or how to care for them and those dads are amazing, no doubt. I was talking about humanity as whole. Stop being salty
WHY AREN'T SCHOOLS TEACHING THIS, WHY AREN'T THEY TEACHING US ABOUT TAXES, ROLE IN SOCIETY, MORTGAGES. I DON'T WANT TO FIND X.
Beatorama it’s not their job to. Schools teach you how to find X for you to either use that in the future to work in the field of mathematics and/or pass the required exams at the end of school. These set you up for a good well paying job which means you’ll be able to buy the house in the first play that you need to mortgage for and you’ll have income you will pay tax on. With out education you would need to do the things you have stated.
@@mollybrown8361 Finnish schools don't teach that, it's the duty of the government and curriculums to instate a community-like environment where everyone helps rather than a grading system where people who can remember more get awarded more.
What a relief there is acknowledgment for the basic mechanics of needs-based fathering. I can tell you though women are the vessels of culture coming from the domestic environment. The substance of human social currency is rooted in this history. As the bootcamp instructor said, in all the trappings of conditioned malology- dads hold their children facing out toward the world. The graces of human consideration are not found solely in the assumptions of maleness taking up parenting. Life is not a reaction to the surfaces of life. It is process. To get at understanding it requires deconstruction. Crib notes from a veteran full-time, single Mom.
2:30 veteran dads xd
He is a John Snow

My dad never took it. My dad never was at home.
@@maddiepaddy2608 thats kinda.....im sorry.

you stop learning when you die, or if you believe in life after death then you never stop learning
So my daughter is 26 years old--is it too late to take
I have a dad who is more tender than a mom 😍

Oh dear god. As soon as I heard the baby crying noise it reaffirmed me not EVER wanting a fuckin baby. What a terrible sound.
Learn on the job. It's the only way you're going to really learn what you think kid likes me dislikes and how to handle different situations. Nothing can prepare you for it. I'm speaking as a dad of a 2yr old girl.
This is why Condom's exist's
But where does the dads learn how to teach dads to be a dad?
gif universe form the mom
I don't have a dad
My dad went to the store to get a pack of cigarets never returned
First 10
Should be mandatory for all men.
I honestly thought this was a joke
lol
I didn't need a class or group..you won't either. Being a father is in your DNA.
Wait....is this actually real?????
They didnt teach the dads dad jokes?
First
Please do note that some of these men may have lost no nut november
Easiest way to learn is to get a dog
How silly. It's called treat your kids the way you want to be treated. I have five kids that are my best friends.
Easy to be a kids friend, harder to be a guiding light

They will hate you when they are teens
U are supposed to be an inspiration for ur kids. Not friends. Friends are ppl who temporarily help u and ditch u. A role model is supposed to help u as much as they can.
if that one dad doesn't hold that baby's neck 😡
How's no nut November for everyone?
This video was an advertisement in disguise, just a heads up. Pretty sure it should be marked as being an ad. Also, not a dig on these particular gentleman, but our culture in general - if you need to take a class in order to feel comfortable holding your child, see a counselor.
