Excellent cover of one of my favorite zeppelin songs. Some call it the country song. I've considered it more blues but the use of banjos are very fitting.

The song is named after Bron-Yr-Aur, a house in Gwynedd, Wales, where the members of Led Zeppelin retreated in 1970 to write much of Led Zeppelin III after having completed a concert tour of North America.[4][5] Bron-Yr-Aur means "golden breast" or "breast of gold" in Welsh, as in a hillside of gold. Its pronunciation is [ˈbrɔn ər ˈaɪr]. The cottage had no electricity or running water, but the change of scenery provided inspiration for many of the songs on the album, including "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp". Yes Ron , the song is about Robert Plants dog , Strider who he named after the character in Lord of The Rings ..Aragorn but in the wilds Aragorn was known as Strider . Robert Plant was a huge J.R.R. Tolkien fan .
@@charleskennedy8695 thank you. Been a huge Zeppelin fan for over 40 years And read the Token trilogy in HS but never heard those little digs Robert says . Even after I got this on CD just always thought it was about a girl. Just another reason why they all were a cut above. I can relate with Robert some. I've been out of the state for the last 18 days and I'm more excited to get home and see my dog than my wife (almost)

@@charleskennedy8695 my daughter got me the DVD box set " How the west was won" right when it came out for Christmas. My Christmas day was watching every bit of it beginning to end and repeat daily. I've seen "The Song Remains the Same" many many times and they are on top of their game on that one. But the first song on the DVD "Were Gonna Grove" Robert walks out nubs his smoke and says "Good Evening "and proceeded to kick ass. Robert's voice was so strong early on well even Knebworth he was really good. But just something about that early shit that when the crowd went home they didn't know what hit them. Nothing like it. When the Who says it was pretty heavy, it must be heavy. What else was there. Cream was broken up. Hendrix was still on the scene. So was Deep Purple. Zeppelin 1 was fucking Heavy. Then you flip the album over and it's acoustic. What diversity. I could go on for days. Thanks Charles for replying love talking music with like minded people .✌️
@@rondarnell949 cool story ! I too have seen The Song Remains The Same many times , probably over 200 times . The guitar solo in No Quarter is my favorite live guitar solo of all time . Than of course Stairways guitar solo from that same live album . TSRTS has so much guitar work in that live album Definately my desert island pick.
