There's nothing particularly remarkable about this song; its melody is quite typical and has been sung countless times before. The lyrics are very mediocre; even a 12-year-old could write stronger ones. I had hoped for something better. However, it might fare well in a kindergarten calypso competition. How did it even make it to the finals again?
I love machel montano but honestly. He looking bad. Look at Destra, Patrice and Ricky and them come on nah so machel couldn't just be a guess. He is way richer than these artists. He need to give the younger ones a chance. I'm disappointed in him. He's GREEDY. GYPSY ALSO.
Unfortunately Machel is extremely competitive. He has to win everything. Truthfully, his performance felt like his stage shows. Very over the top.

@@cherylsmall892 if you listen to the lyrics, he's telling his own story and his natural progression from Calypso to Soca. I got the impression from the song, that he was answering some of his Critics.
@@privategirl2 I listened but what he beat the others on. His song was basic, his voice can’t compare with Helon, Karene or even Kurt and he was not as articulate as so many others. Also some of the dancers’ rhythm were off and it was just overload and distracting. Even you talk about the confusion but it is what it is. Carnival is controversy.
