🧐 My first video for some time, but after playing with ChatGPT for just a few minutes I felt compelled to make this. Would love to hear how you found this video, and particularly anything I can improve on. And yes I know I need to stop calling it "ChatGDP" 🤣
I'm also a developer and I've played with it a bit. Something cool is that it can do TDD. Write Testing library tests and ask it to generate the react component that would make it pass and it will (Even in Typescript)! It also works for ruby and ruby on rails... That's what scared me a bit TBH, it's probably better than your average junior dev already :D Also you can inquire when it comes back with a mistake and most of the time it will identify it. You can follow up with "There seems to be an issue with your code, can you try to spot the issue" and that will be enough many times. You can also give it a hint and it helps sometimes, it's actually a bit of a revolution IMO. It will also refactor and simplify code that you provide
Wow I hadn’t considered getting it to do TDD - that’s a great use case !! Going to look into that further for sure . Agree that it’s insane what it can produce already … and it’ll only get better from here . Another thing that impressed me is how good it is with tools/software that are less mainstream - kind of like Ruby on Rails as you mentioned, but even languages and tools with way less adoption than that.
