So, holding your arms up is to help orient your soapbox while in the air. It does nothing for you on the floor. For the most part, whenever you have to hold your arms up for a jump or similar, you’ll want to hold your brakes to stop your soapbox from rotating. Just to help you ^~^

7:44 no you dont lol, you litteraly cant control yourself in air unless you use up arrow to stabilise or down arrow to stop rotation. turning does absolutely nothing or just very little

Turning is super useful in the air. It's basically the yaw controls. Also you can control the pitch by timing your arms up correctly.
