Just seen Pete’s great demonstration on the Stencil & Stamp Tool genius idea, better still a two in one brilliant 👍. I haven’t tried layering stencils before what fantastic results I’m loving the effect. I have been wanting to treat myself to a stamping platform for a while but didn’t know which one to get, after seeing this I’m thinking now that this would be the better option. 😁Thanks Pete you’re demonstrating is always informative and clear.

I have been scrapbooking for 20 years or so, saw this product and got so excited. Finally something new for scrapbookers without using pre packaged kits with ephemera. I got so excited, ordered it and have not used it yet. Love your calm demeanor. Hopefully you will be demonstrating more for 12" x 12" pages.

I used mine for the first time yesterday with the Sizzix hummingbird layering stencil, and it far exceeded my expectations.
I have several stamping platforms, and this is by far the easiest to use.
The fact that you don't need to use magnets to hold your card stock gives you a larger surface area to stamp or stencil.
I can live with the sticky grid sheet having to be replaced eventually because the experience of stamping and stencilling is much more precise and clean.

I want, I want, I want! Unfortunately I'm in the US, but I can't wait until it's released across the pond. I love the stencil system and adapter, along with the large clear plate to use with cling stamps. Even though I have a Misty Stamp Tool, I will absolutely purchase this to use with larger stamps and help me with stencils. Please release it soon in the US!

I have this fabulous tool…love it…can I use texture paste with a four layers stencils set like Sizzix FLOWERS stencil?
Yes, you can but we would recommend only using the texture paste with *one* of your stencils and making this the last one you use as it would not allow the other stencils to lay perfectly flat. Be sure to clean your stencil immediately afterwards to avoid the paste drying on your stencil :) Hope that helps!

Can this be used with red rubber stamps? Also can you take the top off and turn upside down on the bottom to ink it up thus saving on the extremely large work area needed to use this tool.

🤩 I love the simplicity of the registration system and the sleek look. I am a fan of layered stencils but sometimes the tape hinge technique is nerve racking and time consuming. Will the stamp press attachment ( clear plate) easily come off the hinges when turned over? Thanks for the demo!
Hi Liz, yes the clear gridded stamp plate is hinged for easy removal from the base 🙂

What ink is best for stencils distress ink or Oxides
The universal adapter for stencils looked like the holes didn't match that great, was that just a one-off?
Hi Janni, this will just be the positioning of application and camera angles at the time of applying. Don't worry the universal adapter fits perfectly 🙂

Since I have a lot of other layered stencils, is Sizzix going to have a way to punch the holes in all other company stencils. That would be something that would convince me to purchase this tool.

I would love to know what colours are used for the geo, water colour and flowers stencils please
The colours are: Ripe Persimmon, Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Aged Mahogany
Could I ask you please what do you clean your 4 layer stencils with when using Tim Holtz distress inks? How do you store the blending sponges and do you need to rinse them out after using them?
Hi there. The blending sponges fit in the back of the mini inks and I don't bother cleaning them if you stick to the same colour inks.
With the bigger ink pads, I use velcro on the back of the pads to stick them down. If you want to wash the sponges, wash in warm soapy water and leave to air dry.
So this is an updated version of the Tonic Stamper with a grid and a thingee to hold stencils.

Could you please tell me the size Tim Holtz distressed ink pads that Pete is using? Are they the mini ones judging by the size of the sponge heads?

I have stencil sets from other companies that have the notches in them. Are they compatible with the Sizzix stencil system?
the notches may be spaced differently to our Stencil and Stamp Adapter but don't worry we have converters for using with other branded Stencils, they come in a pack of 10 and can be adhered easily to your stencils. 😊
Looks like a worthy tool to have in my arsenal of goodies! But on the greeny blue plastic plate, what are the square holes doing on the plate? Im bursting to know as im eager to get this plate asap, as hubby has promised one to me….yayyyy! But need to know about those holes first please! Thank you kindly. Blessings, Tibby xxxx
The holes on the green stencil adapter are for the ability to move and place the stencil adapter in different places on the grey hinge! Allowing more versatility with your stenciling, as you can place it where you'd like to stencil 🙂

Yes we have stencil adapters you can apply to your existing stencils which will then fit onto our stencil and stamp tool, they can be re-used too!
How could I integrate my watercolors with this whole concept. ? I'm currently wanting to learn watercolor painting with high quality brushes from Wet Paint in St. Paul.
Hi! Watercolors are not ideal for layering stencils/stencils as the medium will bleed underneath the stencil due to the water.

I see only one potential problem... that sticky sheet! It will eventually lose its stickiness and will pick up specks of glitter, dust, and hair even if you replace the cover sheet between uses. It is good that you can purchase replacement sheets, but as with all products, they will be discontinued at some point in the future..
Hi! If you look after the sticky grid sheet it will last multiple times. It has lasted our designers around 50 uses. By re applying the paper sheet onto the sticky grid sheet after use and cleaning/storing the Stencil & Stamp tool protectively it will help longer it's uses 🙂
I get it should have a way of re making it sticky the is that pro tac u can probably use to retac it I’d be willing to bet just like the cutting mat for cutting mech.
If it as me I’d clean it after I got it where it want sticky anymore then air dry and try it don’t hurt to try if u bought it
There are sticky mats available for cardmaking, every major brand has them and there are lots of knock off versions, they come in all kinds of sizes. Sticky sheets have been used in electronic cutting machines for many years, so those are always available as well. Plus, because they have been around for so long, people have figured out how to make them sticky again. One way is coating them in zig two-way glue.

How is it different from the other stamping platforms and it looks like it will only work with Sizzix syecils with the holes across the top.

Great tool! Can I use rubber stamps?
Good point! I know my smaller stamping platform,has a pad you can remove
to use rubber stamps with it. This doesn't, so I'm assuming you can't.
Is it possible to remove the rubber stamp from the block? If so (I use acrylic ones on clear blocks), I would apply Alene's Tack it Over and Over Again glue on it and use it like an acrylic stamp. Just a thought.
I thought this tool could cover all my stenciling and stamping needs with clear and cling stamps, but the manufacturer has been avoiding to answer my questions about the cling stamps and it was not demonstrated in this video.

Can you use red rubber stamps with this system?
You can but, they must be used towards the bottom of the tool rather than at the top when the hinge is located. ☺️
Is there a way to use the stencils we already own?
Yes you can! We have reusable adhesive Universal Stencil Converters you can purchase which easily stick to your existing stencils to allow them to fit into the small nubs in the aligner tool. Just search for 664957 on our website :)

hello I watched your great salesman . I just received it and it at first was hard but not hard. I can see where you need to practice a lot if your a mixed media artist. I did try it . I really liked the way they came out. I do want to say I think the price point is too steep. Especially when introducing a new item.😢
Can the converter be used with different stenciils or does it only work with one and then you can't peel it of and use it again with another stencil?

As long as they are a similar thickness to the clear stamps and not on a block they will work 🙂
If I only used Sizzix stencils this would be great. Sadly most of us don’t.
I don’t have room or need another tool for only specific products.
The Universal Stencil Convertors allow you to use with other stencils other than just Sizzix 🙂

This looks wonderful except for the mat size. Why in the world would Sizzix make this narrower than 8.5” (letter size paper US)?!?!
The Stencil & Stamp Tool has no edges so you can use a larger paper size on the platform, using the grid for precision and sticky grid sheet to keep the paper in place. 😊

Like the other review, I have two concerns. One being the adhesive sheet will lose its ability to hold the paper and using other stencils created by companies. The green adapter is really not needed.
The sticky grid sheet if properly looked after will last a good number of times! Out designers have been able to get up to 50 uses out of it. The green adaptor allows you to position your stencil perfectly to get the best precision 🙂
Will there be a die that will put the holes in other company's stencils?
Maybe in the future, currently we have the 'Sizzix Stencil & Stamp Tool Accessory - Universal Stencil Converters' for use with other brand stencils 😀
I think i would probably just punch the holes, less things to have to buy for so many stencils

Where to purchase the blending tool and sponge tips?
They are Sizzix products, on their website hth. I personally like the new domed blending foams better myself you get a more controlled application than the flat ones. Amazon has generic ones 20 for $9.99. they all have the same velcro adherance to the blending tool of your choice. Ranger, Tonic, Sizzix etc all have different style tools, short, long, wood, plastic. The foam though is all the same.

Are the stencil converters repositionable?
The universal stencil convertors have 2 circular holes either side that place into the placeholders on the bottom of the stencil adaptor 🙂
@@sizzix I meant if the sticky tape of the converters can be used several times on other stencils or I have to buy several for my other brand stencils.
Since Pete suggested keeping the backing sheet, I would think it’s re-positional.

I don’t see this tool offered in the US☹️
Kathy you probably won't either. The owner of the Misti sued every manufacturer in the US in Amber Heard style fashion complete with harassing customers in the comments sections of competitors online who were unhappy with the lawsuits. She claims the hinge is her design and claims rights to it. So far she has won 100% of the lawsuits. Outside of the US there's several various well made stamping and positioning platforms. You can bet your eyeteeth the Misti owner is waiting with her lawyers on speed dial if they attempt to produce or sell this in the US. Sadly smaller companies without deep pockets had to choose how much of a loss they could sustain and most took a big loss completely ditching their products. The hinge design is not dynamic, we have them on all our doors from our cars to our kitchens, how she keeps winning lawsuits is beyond me. May as well try and patent the circle based on that criteria!

Il problema è lo sticky paper, che ci costringete a ricomprare, non potevate farlo magnetico come gli altri? Anche il metodo stencil non è molto valido...da ristudiare...
