In this video, I am starting a series on building an etching press from scratch. I hope you enjoy going through the process.
I will have plans, as well as laser-cut files available at the end of the series for those who would like to build their own etching press.

Looking forward to a few exciting weeks of building the press and then testing it with different applications.
The embossing and short examples looked really interesting.
Thanks and looking forward to this build.

nice work but can tell me what material type use for upper roller and if you can recommending buy link

My upper roller is made of thick wall ( 10mm) 160mm OD schedule seamless pipe. Unfortunately it is made of mild steel and it needs to be nickel plated to prevent rust.
I would recommend using 160mm 8 mm wall 304 Stainlesssteel pipe in stead. You have to ask your local metal shop to supply you.
You will also need some disks and a shaft.
I filled my rollers with concrete afterwards to make them more solid.
      Try inquiring from this manufacturer:

Hi, I'm interested in obtaining a copy of the plan to build my own roller. Is this available for sale?

Hi Catherine. I have enough interest now to make the CNC files available. If you are still interested. The one on youtube (that you liked) is 25" wide (the plate and roller width). The rollers are 6" in diameter. The length of the plate is 43". However, you can decide how long the plate should be, because it's easy for me to change that one file for you. The price for a set is $45 Please send me an e- mail to christoff@quixotry.co.za if you are still interested
