Tech Field Day needs to lock down Q&A for the first 30 minutes. You get a bunch of egomaniacs all trying to show off their smarts by being the first to ask a clever question, and the poor vendor never gets to do their actual presentation.
This is not limited to place like this, happens all the time everywhere. But yeah you are spot on, kudos to people like you who can see this and actually wants to make word better place to live. Your comment change my view, I was thinking it is OK to do this, I let people walk over me many times because of this, never done this myself though as my goal is to ensure people learn not to show off what I know. You cannot know everything in ever changing tech field. Once again, thanks as your one line changed my view, I wont let anyone do this to anyone anymore.
demo coherency compromised due to out of control and unconstrained questions which should have been kept until the poor bloody vendor had a chance to give demo. Still useful though. I have no vested interest in the vendor. Would be good to record a pointer when showing network diagram so it's easy to see which bit of it is being discussed.
Traffic is bound to the same wan interface after session has established. Routing/choosing wan happens early at the session establishment phase, but later it is fixed
Security fabric integrates FortiNAC, NGFW, ZTNA and all of the latest features to bring about the best SD-WAN structure. FortiNAC is more of a device to provide more visibility of what's out there, what's deployed. If that makes sense.
So much talk about QoS markings. I honestly don't see why there's so much interest in using SD-WAN fabrics over MPLS for application steering. For those key SaaS applications like M365 , Teams, Salesforce etc, they aren't going to be back-hauled are they, and your internet ISP's won't be honouring your QoS markings! Obviously if you have multiple MPLS links at a branch site for example and you want to use the most effective link, then sure, it will be relevant. But if you have the need for that then you should be having a chat with your MPLS provider to try and reduce your round-trip times rather than using WAN optimises/SD-WAN. Most applications will be sitting pretty with
Agree, By FortiOS 6.2 SD-WAN was still very basic compared to the competition. For me Fortinet's appeal is still the value you get from their gear and licensing model. You kinda compromise a little on the sophisticated software part a little.

hahahaha true

Well, the chub is a lil annoying 😂😂

Excellent information delivered. Kudos to the presenters
I want to attend one of these workshops too. How can I get into the next one?
Fortimanager is a nice idea. If only it would work the way they say.
We are partners for fortinet, and yes. It has the specification's that has been highlighted

IQhqq
The manager gets better and better with each new version. Does pretty much everything by you need it to do.
so it is just policy routing for path manipulation?
if inbound traffic is coming via SSL tunnel with WAN1 than how we can avoid asymertic routing

MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FORTI SECURE FABRIC AND FortiNAC? answere please

Does it offer path conditioning like FEC, POC?
it does FEC
Hi Why can’t I not write internal exam for NSE 4,

Awesome presentation. Also trying to sell this solution.
explain it to me as if I'm a puppy
Very underwhelming implementation and demonstration
