  • BUSS UP SHUT ROTI
    Ingredients list
    --------
    2 cups plain flour
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp sugar
    1/2-1 cup lukewarm water
    1 tbsp oil (to put on the dough before resting)
    1/4 cup butter/ oil (for putting on the dough after you roll it out to create the flakes)
    1/2 cup vegetable oil for frying (can also use butter or lard)

      @@ruthiemill I tried to make chapati last week and you are right they are very similar, but I noticed that they were not as.soft as.i remember them to be when I had it in Tanzania. I think I may have had them on the heat too long...I probably heated.them for about 3-4 minutes each side? Was that too long? Any tips?

    Your recipe is what I've been missing!! I have been craving paratha for over a year since moving from south Florida to central.. They have no Trinidadian restaurants here.. I'd always get channa and aloo with the paratha..YUUUMY..it reminds me of home.. I digress I just tried your recipe and GIIIIIIRL!! YAAAAS!!     My aunt and mom can make Dahl Roti but they don't anymore, we usually just buy from a woman here and freeze it, if shes around...ma'am if you have me out here making buss up shut and roti it's going to be a problem 😁 you make it look easy...I'll eat mine with curry beef, I always miss roti when I make beef..TY ❤

    Girl this is amazing! What’s the difference in what you’re making and what the Indians from India sale in the grocery stores that can make the same thing? I see in the Indian stores they sell big bags of their flower you just have to add all the ingredients I believe to make roti.

    how would go about storing this to eat another day? whenever i put it away and warm it up later it gets hard -_-

      Store in a container and when you’re warming it up the next day etc I use a tissue paper that’s a bit damp and wrap it in before warming in the microwave for 10 seconds :)

      Its basically paratha.The cusine is heavly Indian influenced.Adding more Indian influenced dishes to cusine as its evolved.
